Today is a tough day. Always is on this particular day. Dad passed away 11 years ago. A lot of who I am for better or worse is because of who he was. I still miss him. I'm glad that he's in a better place though and can't wait until the day we meet again.

Hey friends. Shannon and I are in the beginning stages of preparation to adopt. We'd be grateful for your prayers and any advice you can give while we move along in the process. It's been a lot to digest for me having been married this long and not having any kids yet, but I'm confident that we will have kids. We're just going to open our hearts and our house to a child that needs someone to be their mommy and daddy.

Well ain't this a great way to close out 2012. Left rear Dooley is missing two lugs and the studs have fallen/sheared off. Printer is not cooperative at all. And the spare I'm getting is probably nowhere near big enough to carry what I have left to offload. Remjnd me why I do this?

Former Red Ryan Freel reportedly committed suicide today. Pray for those he leaves behind. Sad end to a life worth so much more than to end it by his own hands.

I'm not at all certain about the '77 team's record (I was only five ). The '98 team set a record for wins with 31 and ended up 31-5 that season. The '97 team won 30 games, but lost at Lenior City in the sectional. That means that as of right now the Lady Grizz hold the school record for wins and are assured of finishing with the best record in school history. Oh and Rutledge played South Greene in the sectional in '98, which is also the last time they won three in the same season over the Lady Rebs. It was a standing-room only, overflow-into-the-lunchroom crowd which probably made the T$$AA set seating requirements for the sectional games...after the short-lived sectional tournament died a painful death.
