Shuman taught Special Needs as well as his wife before Wellness. Rector always taught History - European and was told to be very good as teacher.
Rector was always good at knowing where the players were off the field. If there is a party, he may show up uninvited to check on his players to see if they are doing anything they shouldn't. He would recruit spies ( his CIA background) to fill him in otherwise and you would never know who the spies are.
Warn your player this nonsense as well as anything you can think of will not be tolerated nor showing up for workout or practice. Here a warning for Mommies and Daddy's wanting to complain about playing time, don't do it if you ever want to see junior on the football field again...ever.
What I can't understand is why Shuman as head coach did the direct opposite of Rector. Shuman is a very good line coach but I guess he needs Rector there kicking him in the rear for motivational purpose.
Not a Rector fan and I think their were a lot at Ravenwood who thought Rector had worn out his welcome.

Looking forward to what could be the best game of the year for these two teams.
I hope thay both bring their "A Games".
Good luck to both!

He's not a centennial guy cause nobody on centennials team would talk trash about a team let alone a D1 team like MBA...
not many teams any TN have the right to talk trash about the high caliber teams like MBA MUS and Mccallie
Just figured it was "Mac"Callie

I love when Tennessee teams travel, gives more exposure to everyone. Two years ago Ravenwood traveled to Baltimore, MBA has gone to Dallas, CBHS has gone to St. Louis, more club teams should try to make trips. With Southwest air tickets and a little planning it can work for most teams.
Go Big Red! (you won't hear that a lot from me)

Auburn 8 - Tennssee 7

Brentwood Bruin All Region Players
Victor Barnes
Jeremy Coffey
Robby Dupuis
Reggie Farmer
Alex Guth
A.J. Krow
Cameron Mason
Cole Tischer
and of course Coach of the Year - Ron Crawford
If my list is inaccurate I apoligize, it is what I have been told
Like so many fans of their schools, there are other players I am surprise did not get this honor, but I am sure the coaches do their best. I know there were many more Bruin players that I will remember having great games and who made huge plays that led to the teams success. I do not believe I have ever seen more of a "team" be responsible for success(and I am pretty old). Just seemed like every game it was someone different making plays to win.
To all the 2008 Bruin Players, Coaches, Cheerleaders, Band and parents thanks for a great year of memories.
Also, I do not know of any group better than the Brentwood Choir in singing the National Anthem, I wish the Titans would get them to perform sometime. Definitely All-State!!

Have they named the teams yet? When is the awards dinner?
-
Antioch score with under minute in the half
-
Ravenwood by 7

Brentwood does not need to be caught napping like BA, Raptors have had an off week to prepare.
I like the Bruin defense but think this one will be close; Bruins 17 - 14.

Brentwood 28 - Blackman 6

It really is a shame TSLA does not do a better job keeping its website current. Hopefully they can post the All-State selections soon.

Who played who in spring scrimmages? And what were the results? Or who plays who, coming up?
Bump - should be some scrimmages this week, please give us some observations if you attended. Thanks
-
Please post scores from the playoff games

So who won??
-
Ravenwood 9-5 over Louisville Collegiate (KY)
-
Bump, just would like to hear more

To say they have no chance is a bit much. They will definitely compete on the D1 level, it's just a matter of how well they are going to do. I don't think they can match up again MUS, MBA, or CBHS but they cant definitely hold their own against the rest of the competition. Time will tell. Just because you all West Knox lost to Franklin by 2, doesnt make West Knox a powerhouse nor does it mean Franklin can't make it in D1.
Franklin will only get better playing D-1. May lose a game or two more but the only way to really know how good you can be is to play the best competition you can.

Does anyone have results of this and/or the Franklin-Ravenwood match??
