QUOTE(Redtwin @ Apr 14 2007 - 07:45 PM) 826437616I think it was 9-7, but I'm not sure. Ravenwood beat Westminister by 1. CBHS beat Darlington. Laxpower shows MUS lost to Lovett.
Looks like TN had a really good weekend against GA. Any word on McCallie vs Lassiter?
McCallie/Lassiter rained out

I think they graduated 19 seniors. They are still a good team.
I was glad to see they stayed D-1. A commitment to maintaining a competitive team.
-
I think Ravenwood is only team in Franklin's way to going undefeated and that game will be closer than you think. Don't underrate the Rebels, they are for real!

QUOTE(TheBigRedDog @ Mar 12 2007 - 03:44 PM) 826409288I have no opinion on the matter, but here is MBA's Spring Break schedule:
3/16/07 St. Mark's, Dallas
3/17/07 Episcopal School of Dallas
3/17/07 Highland Park
3/18/07 Dallas Jesuit
Should be a challenge for MBA. I don't think too many Tennessee schools have played any of the Texas powers much, if ever.
That's an awesome schedule! Good Luck! Hope the Big Red takes them to school!
It would be great for all the Tennessee teams to show well!

The following teams are taking spring break trips this year;
CBHS
Farragut
Lausanne Collegiate
MBA
McCallie
MUS
Ravenwood
We wish them all the Best of Luck and Safe Travels as they represent Tennessee Lacrosse in other areas of the country!
How do players/parents/coaches feel about spring break trips? Are they beneficial to the team?

Does anyone have an MBA score from Saturday?

Can you say....
2006 Regular season Ravenwood 7 - MBA 6
2006 Playoffs MBA 15 - Ravenwood 7
Nice win for Ravenwood, but they will have to keep improving to win Championship.
I believe that was MUS's first game and I have always heard the greatest improvement a team makes is from its first to second game.
I also doubt that "Chill-laxer" is a Ravenwood player.....

Brentwood over Centennial 11-3

Five Games this week that I would like to see
(3/8) MUS - Ravenwood
(3/9) MUS - McCallie
MUS travels to both, Big early season road trip for MUS
Should be hard fought out of region games that give a good indication of where several top teams are.....
(3/7) Centennial - Brentwood - Loser looking to regroup; teams play again in April
(3/10) Webb Knoxville - Franklin, Franklin's win over Louisville team, puts them as early D-II favorite (imo); Webb's win over Brentwood surprised me.
(3/10) Lausanne - Houston; Memphis battle that could let us know where Lausanne will be this year
( I wish someone from Houston would tell me how they lost to Mtn Brook, are they that good this year?)

-
Please post your scores
-
There are certainly some good games early that could thin the herd.......or give a good indication....
Tomorrow Centennial/Franklin
This weekend
Brentwood/Webb Knox
Brentwood/ West Knox
McCallie/Westminister
Franklin/Louisville Collegiate

Cleveland may surprise a few teams, they have some very good players, but they would not be my pick for a final four team. I am still picking Cookeville in the East.

QUOTE(TheBigRedDog @ Feb 25 2007 - 06:38 PM) 826389051I have heard that Hamilton County is building a new high school on Signal Mountain. Is this true? If so, will the current Signal Mountain club team be absorbed by the new school? Don't most kids on Signal go to Red Bank or private schools now?
The parents I spoke to just said the team was made up of kids from different schools on or near Signal Mtn.

Are there any other scores people have from games yesterday?

QUOTE(CHS 2007 @ Feb 23 2007 - 05:39 PM) 826386330I won't be there, but I really want to know how Cleveland does. They're a first year program (I think), but the word is they have a lot of good, experienced players on that team. There are even some people I've talked to that have said they could possibly make a run this year.
Went down to watch yesterday. Cleveland, Baylor and Signal Mountain all looked like first year teams. All had some talent and should get better as season goes along. Spoke with some Signal Mtn parents and they have had non TSLA team for a few years, but were hurt by losing several players to Baylor's new team.
The Gwinnett (Ga Club team) team was a surprise, much better than I thought they would be.

QUOTE(Mulloy5 @ Feb 18 2007 - 12:46 PM) 826377466Are we talking about all 8 teams getting into the playoffs, or just the final four? Interms of the final four in contension for state, I think- in no particular order- MBA-McCallie-Ravenwood-MUS. For other teams getting in, Father Ryan should make playoffs again, as well as CBHS. I heard that CBHS's defese was a little weak but I don't have a strong reference. Their attack should be pretty good with Franklin returning and maybe Cassidy playing on it, if he doesnt move back to middie. They have a decent goalie which will help the. Houston lost 18 seniors, so I have no idea how they will fair in the season, or what talent they have coming back. I did hear that a lot of players for brentwood should be playing JV, so yes that was right, it should be a rebuilding year for them. I haven't heard anything on WEBB or USN, they most likely shouldn't be very strong, but I could be wrong. And I haven't heard anything on Farragut eiter, so I have no idea how good they will be. Oh, I wonder how Ravenwood will fair when their senior class leaves? Is their JR class very strong? I have heard that it isn't. A lot of poeple talk down about Ryan, but they could be better than you may think. They will be about average again, but deffinetly should make playoffs again. The Junior class should come on strong, and it shouldn't be an easy game against them.
I think Ravenwood may slip a little in 2008, they have a great senior class. Their junior class may be small, but I heard they had over 70 kids come out this year and for the first time had to cut kids. If they can keep their coaching staff, I think they will remain one of the better teams. They seem to have good support from Ravenwood High School (better than other Williamson Co Schools) and have established a tradition of having a strong Lacrosse team. I know players moving to Nashville have selected the Ravenwood school district because of their strong reputation.
MBA's Field

I have heard that MBA's stadium field is not a regulation size field.
Is that true?
If true what is the difference?
Do any of the visiting players thinks it affects their play or is it a non-event?
Not trying to start something, just curious.
