  1. Oh lord sour grapes again, and the season has not even started. Congrats Ooltewah on your last year and good luck for this year. Give credit where credit is due.
  2. I agree now what about a score?
  3. sdfan1234 try to be positive good luck to you with Coffee County.
  4. Time for a post - This Ooltewah team this year is very different from teams past, the girls take nothing for granted, they know that it is one game at a time and next is Lawrence County. Even if they should not make state, their accomplishments this year are to be cherished, they won the district and region for the first time in years. They are a close group and should not be compared to anything in the past. Sometimes when I read what is written on here I am ashamed of people. These girls on all these teams are doing their best, and they are still our children.
  5. It was a great game, by two great teams. Mistakes and heroics were made all around, I am sure the left fielder for Soddy feels bad enough, but she also had an incredible double play earlier in the game. Congrats to Ooltewah. Oops I mean right fielder!!!
  6. No, not ten times, how about once, Congratulations Ooltewah, you deserve it. Two seniors with two doubles drove in the two runs, way to go Seniors and congrats on outstanding defense.
  7. I think they did well in pool and lost in first round of elimination.
  8. Sounds great, what about the rain chances?
  9. What I do know is that it was one game, lots of softball left to play. I know a couple of the girls on the team, (seniors) and I know they have all the chemistry they need. They are good friends who have played a long time.
  10. You said it, have you ever seen a umpire that was calling balls and stikes be able to see a runner leaving early at second base. I guess he has two sets of eyes.
  11. Go to the Bob Jones site and you will understand, it was a weird format to say the least, they won both their pool games and had a coin toss with another team to see who played silver and who played gold. It was not a true seeding, however it was the best the tournament director could do, based on the weather.
  12. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/softball/rankings.htm Congratulations Ooltewah
  13. Wow! What a great game by two great teams, offense and defense was outstanding. So fun to watch.
  14. I too am wondering about the pool play schedule? When will it be posted?
  15. Ooltewah, 5 seniors, 3 juniors and 1 sophmore, very solid.
