How big of a school will Liberty Creek be? Nolesnville is already impressive on the 4a level, so it's not impossible to be good quickly. Stewie starts almost all seniors, so next year get ready for the dreaded rebuilding year. I feel bad for Rockvale being without their 2 best players from injuries but brighter days are ahead for them and it won't take long. I am somewhat concerned at how long it's taking to get the new Hillwood-Bellevue High built. Bellevue has almost as many residents as the LaVergne/Smyrna area combined which has THREE large high schools while Bellevue has none.

First time ever battle between SCHS and SCHS in football iirc.
I think Stew Creek takes this one over Station Camp after surviving a tough one at home vs LaVergne.
Not football related: What happened to LaVergne's band? Didn't they used to have like 150 kids and march some complicated halftime shows?

Stewie takes this one 24-6 in spite of not finishing drives very good in the first half.

I understand. We feel the same way about whites creek and beyond MAD about republic joining the district and taking away a random game to get better.
Shouldn't RePublic be 2a? They only have around 600 senior high students, right?

The high daytime Friday is predicted to be "only" 85 but that is still better than 95, so maybe cramping and dehydration won't be too much of an issue.

Hillwood lost at home at their homecoming to Hunters Lane.
Gallatin by 45. Lots of running clock.

Stewie turned it over twice in the first half to fall behind a good Cane Ridge team by ten... the final margin was ten. LaVergne loses a one point heart-breaker. With Smyrna's resurgence, this suddenly takes on a new meaning as the battle for second place and a home playoff game shapes up.

Stewie held off Clarksville while CR won vs McGavock in a shutout. Winner may get top seed. Quite a bit at stake.

Does Clarksville High have a home stadium at their campus or do they play at APSU?

Quit playing the “safe fan” role, it’s ok to admit your team is high caliber. They win this week big!
I appreciate your vote of confidence and they did get 13 votes in the new 6a AP Statewide poll and that is a first in school history. Even if they do win (by a lot or a little and either would be a win, so there's that)... the toughest game left on the schedule looms next... Cane Ridge. It's a home game and will be a packed house (weather permitting). If Stewie wins at Clarksville and vs CR, the odds of them running the table for a first ever top seed and home playoff increases exponentially.
-
I don't know much about Clarksville High football this season. How is Stewie's shot at a road win? It's their first road game of the season.
Also a chance to match last year's win total while running the antiquated wing-t.

I don't know about winning 6 games but the playoffs should certainly be in play. They have Antioch, LaVergne, McGavock and Overton all in region as very manageable games. They can lose to Cane Ridge and Smyrna ( who didn't look good either) and as long as they win a handful of those games above still make the playoffs.
They would be thrilled to get a north county sweep over LHS and SHS.

I guess you don't mind SC scheduling tough teams so much now, do ya? Congrats to SC
This is the year Stewie needs to make hay. Smyrna got boat raced on their home field. Antioch predictably got demolished. LaVergne struggled in the first half vs a team that had never played a game before. There is an opportunity for SCHS to get a really good seed and actually host a playoff game... and maybe advance... two things that have not happened before.

Are the fans of the old Bellevue High happy that blue was added in advance to the school colors?
Why such a long drawn out holdup to get this new campus finished? Megan Berry was set on getting it done as quick as possible. People need to put the heat on whoever wins the run-off to get this done.
-
Glad to see HHS got the win. Hope the nice new campus is ready for next fall.
-
This is the most people a huge school like LaVergne can put in the stands for a season opening game at home? People need to support their local prep sports and other extra-curricular activities. Ten years ago LHS Marching Band would have gotten more friends and family than this to the game.

Either way props to SC, mustve been a dandy to watch.
As long as Stewie doesn't get the big head over this fine win and they avoid the injury bug, this could be a special season as teams left on the schedule thought to be "beasts" before the season suddenly look beatable.
-
Finally that wing-t crappola is gone. They lost too many close games since that school was built because you can't come back at the end with the wing-t. I like David Martin and all... but it was way part time to ditch the wing-t.

Stewarts Creek needs to just beat the teams in their region and with them being in the same region as Antioch, McGavock, LaVergne, and Overton they should be able to get 4 wins making them a possible 4-2 in the region and at least a 3rd place. Also, Overton is no longer on probation.
This says Overton and Antioch both got a 2 year ban from playoffs...
-
With Overton on double secret probatiom, could Stewie get in at 5-5?
I think it's possible... but there is no way they will beat MJ with what the Bears have back even without Grimes. Just not a good first game of the year for SCHS.

How are they doing the enrollment at Rockvale? Do you have to go if your a senior/junior or is it an option to leave your former school? I remember playing Stewart’s Creek early in their first couple of seasons and they had a ton of underclassmen and very very few seniors. That in itself could be an indication of how well Rockvale will do early on. I think Gallatin will be their first true scrimmage of the fall.
Wouldn't it have been nice for Stewarts Creeks first game to have NOT been at Ravenwood? New schools should schedule the lower level metro school for their out of region games at first and not do some of the crazy scheduling Stewie did. Indy, Brentwood, Blackman, and now Mt Juliet.
-
I think the swing game could be at Station Camp who was 3-7 last season. If Stewarts Creek can win that one, is there a good chance they go 6-4 or better and make the playoffs? Obviously they will not beat Mt.Juliet and I have no idea why they keep scheduling that way. They should be playing nearby Nolensville, also a newer school and just across the county line.

I saw schedules where team were supposed to play away games at RePublic. Google maps shows no football stadium at the school.
Did they build a stadium or do they play "home" games somewhere else?

So, what's the story on Station Camp? Are they not a threat at all in this game? Do they have any team speed? LaVergne had some fast guys on defense and held Stewie to the 10 points in the first three quarters.
