  1. I'm gonna say LA by 15 or 20
  2. Agreed, DC really surprised me when they played G-ville. I didn't know how much team speed they had. They were really quick and posts were smart and played big. Guards did excellent job as well. I would say baring they play awful, they spank the Bees by 15 or more. DC seems to be playing really well right now. If they keep playing this way, I think they will have something to say about LA being the district champion. Those two games should be very exciting, lots of runnin'. Good luck tuesday night.
  3. I thought from a previous post that Coach Wright for York was coming in to "change the landscape of 7AA", did you mean in a good way or bad? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Seriously though, I thought York was supposed to be really good from all the hype they have been recieving from their fans. And Cannon I didn't think was supposed to be very strong, maybe wrong though. What happened to the powerhouse dragons? *Not tryn to get any York fans worked up, just poking fun at one in particular. I know Coach Wright will do a good job there. And good luck to the Dragons. *
  4. Macon girls are pretty good. I didn't think the SC game would be close but didn't expect that. How was York vs. Cannon? Anyone know? Also what about some boys scores from this district? Didn't see any on the boys board. Thanks in advance from any replies.
  5. Smith lost 4 starters from last years team, and is pretty young this year. I think Upperman lost 5 seniors. Will be tough game for the Owls on the road at Upperman. Always a tough place to play.
  6. Upperman over Smith by 20+ pressure just to much for Smith to handle. LA by 10 or so in a close one. Cannon in a close one. Would like to see Coach Dodgen and his team do good this year. Best of luck!
  7. Last year? Did someone say last year? Last year doesn't matter there chief. PC may win the region, its awful early to say, but if they do it will be a hard fought road to get there. Not just for them but for anyone. Plus PC lost one of their best players last year. He was really underated I think.
  8. Yea, your right, he was let go and not just the players but other coaches at the school raised cain as well. But like you said earlier I don't think you have to like your coach, but at least respect him or her. From what I can see melton rips those boys up at LA really good, but they play hard for him and respect him, and when they are getting the short end of the stick in calls, he seems to do his part for the players and back them up. He is an excellent coach I think, love his style of play, and how is team plays for him. I think McWilliams is a good coach, just his attitude is a little cocky and lacking some times, from what I have seen. Loses his cool easily, and some past players have been the same.
  9. They are very talented, but I would say Westmoreland could compete with them and challenge them for the region title. Westy is pretty tough this year. I think the top 3 or 4 in each district are pretty evenly matched against each other. Pickett and Westmoreland are the best and then after that its pretty open I think.
  10. Obviously someone's kid didn't get to play enough in high school.... /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> jk jk not tryn to start nothin, you probably didn't even have a kid play for him. But take it easy, he obviously isn't a bad coach, b/c he has won several district championships and made it to the state tourney a couple years ago. His teams are always in the hunt for the district title. I think the problem is some of those kids attitudes I dunno how the team is this year, but in the past they have been pretty bad. I've watched several Upperman players cost their team a W by their attitudes or selfishness. That maybe Coach McWilliams fault it may not, I dont know. But regardless of his attitude, and how he may handle some situations, he is a good coach. I think this is more of a personal problem than anything else. Could be wrong though
  11. York by 20, they beat Pickett the other night although PC is without TC, they are still pretty tough team, but definitly not the same.
  12. They made a BIG mistake making him go, but he is turning Cannon Co. around, and will have them contending for 3rd or 4th in 7AA this year. I think they can make 3rd, beating LA and UHS will be a tall task but I think they can beat anyone else. Wish him the best up there /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Good luck Dodge
  13. Gonna go with the Lady Bees. Having said that, can't say enough about both coaches. I think Upperman may be a tad quicker. Also think this game will be in the 30-40 scoring range... If that high. Both teams have the ability to put up points but both have good defenses and will make the other work for an open shot. Should be a good battle.
  14. Westmoreland by 10-15 or more. Good shooters, good discipline = W
  15. Of course I would be....most of the time anyways.... /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  16. I know I saw Upperman at camp, and they looked good. I know Cannon and Smith and Macon will battle for the bottom 3 spots most likely, any one of those might surprise somoene. Yes, I saw york play at camp and wasn't to impressed(I know it's just camp to). They seemed to play hard though. They will be a sleeper for 3rd I think. I do not see them being able to compete with LA for 1st. Upperman should beat them pretty soundly at UHS, but @ YAI might be a different story, but I could be wrong. I made that back this summer when DC still had Bass, now I would drop them to 3rd, or possibly 4th. Depends on how good York is.
  17. I never said they didn't. I was just making a joke, didn't mean to hit a nerve there. Seeing what G-ville girls get beat? What are you talking about? Right now your Lady Bulldogs are getting beat by 20 @ the end of the third quarter by those G-ville girls so HA!!! Sorry, cant really tell by looking at a computer screen if you are a girl or not. And I don't care enough to go look at your profile.
  18. Easy Muffin, he is from Clay Co. I dunno if they know what the state playoffs are. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> jk jk. I knwo they have had some good football teams before. G-ville will have to play good to win. But they can do it. Good luck Tigers and Tigerettes!
  19. Clay County comes down to G-ville this week, what are some thoughts on this game? G-ville still without football players will make it a little more difficult on them, but they can still do well I think.
  20. Tomorrow night? Your sure about that? Tomorrow night right? I'm just wanting to make sure it's tomorrow night. Good luck to the Owls. C-range shoots the 3 quite frequently. Let me ask you a question? Is Hartsville in your district??? lol jk with ya.
  21. They aren't my beloved wildcats. I just know they are a good team. I'm not from LA, I am from Smith County. LA was not really very good there until really the 04-05 season. But I'm not going by what went on in the past by saying that. I'm going by what I know, because I have seen them play, and know they are a good team.
  22. Thats why there is a thing called classification. Of course LA & JC would prolly not do as well in that district b/c of numbers alone. But I would bet LA would do better then the Cavs. It may mean a little something to beat Cookeville but not as much as you are making it out to be, because they are a weak AAA team. Yea, its nice to say you beat a AAA team, but don't put much stock in it.
  23. Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels that way. I agree with Sparta Boy, senator, scrubadubdub, and up2late on everything said here.
  24. So the way you are making it sound, Cookeville has no say in who they schedule??? Do I understand that correctly because thats what it looks like you are saying.
  25. Your district may be tough as far as teams being equal, but how often are you guys competitive? And how often does someone from your district make it deep to state? I'm not trying to be smart or nothing, I just dont really keep up with this district.
