Croz....there were too many catchable balls dropped. This guys usually catch everything. A few passes were a little off target. Johnston missed on 2-3 long balls where the DB was beat bad. The misses were just by a foot or less but Brandon normally makes those in his sleep. Of coarse G-ville missed 1 of those to Nike too. The TD G-ville got, Chaz was stopped dead at the line of scrimmage. SC gave up like they thought he was down. Chaz didn't. Too many missed tackles. They tackled better at the half. Just little stuff that adds up. Now, that being said..I'm sure G-ville's play had something to do with that. I still think, now this is just my opinion, had SC scored on the opening drive, it would have been a much different ballgame. They drove the ball deep down the field and couldn't finish the drive. I'm sure opinions vary......especilly if you were on the other side of the field.

Gordonsville did the same and had a penalty that killed them. G-ville dropped two balls back to back that could have been returned for 6 and one late in the game that could have sealed the deal, but.....if if's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Both teams had their chances to make plays and make the outcome of the game different. The Owls found a way to win. Both teams played extremely hard. Hope the Tigers build on this and carry it to Friendship. Good luck to the Owls vs. LA

Jose attacks life just like he attacked last night...I just wish all kids had his determination and fire...he is one very large reason teachers continue to teach...he shows us hope that what we do...matters...I'm lucky to know Jose...and to know that he influences many kids...and that's a good thing.

 

Your right Queeny. He is the nicest, politest, and toughest kid I know. I know that the other kids on the team love him.

Jose will have some big games this year.

If some minor things are corrected in the line, he'll be a superstar.

The Kitties played well. They did what they had to do to keep it close. SC made the plays in the 4th to win...and that is the bottom line. I will never be disappointed in a win. There were several big plays on both sides of the ball. The Kitties will win several games this year.

SC has a good win to build on.

I can wait till next year if I have to. If I'm ever at a SC game this year, which I will probably attend another one, I will give you a heads up.

C'mon King.......you of all people ought to know I know a little about G-ville football and basketball too. Senior class......yelp. Know most of them.....both sides. I know Brad, Chaz, J.D.,Turner, Zach, Talon, Storm, and on and on. ,But also know Jrs., Soph., Fr., 8th, 7th,a nd a few 6th graders.......again.....both sides. I assume you think I'm a parent of one of the Srs. (although thinking of those parents I can't figure out which one).

Yelp, that's right ...........We don't have a 25 year old gold ball....................The only thing we have had to brag about the last 25 years is consistantly kicking the crap out of the team that does have a gold ball.

The only thing I can say is that SC doesn't have one to use as a crutch. After a lose, SC can't run and get that thing out and say. "You may have beat us...... but at least we got one of these."

Our Freshmen aren't bad either, or our sophomores and juniors for that matter.

Our seniors are alright as well. We just don't have enough of them.

Just got in from watching the Jr. Owls whoop some waspers.

Good to see your still carrying the banner over there croz. It's still unusually quiet on the southside. You must not have seen the talent Gordonsville had the past 2 years in Jr. High. The now freshman didnt lose a game in 2 years. Beating up on the Middle School to I believe. I know things change once you get to High School but I dont think the streak will last much longer IMO. SC may have a good group of kids coming up, I'm not saying they dont, but G-ville has a good group as well.

Stick to basketball which you claim to know something about. You can't come on these boards and be like I want Gville to do this and that and claim to be a SC Grad. Blah, Blah, Blah. You have chosen your allegiance. Their is no gray area. You wanted to be a tiger!!!!!!!! Sure blood is thicker than water. I am for you. It just puts you on the wrong side of the fence. The Junior High games are a small indication of what will happen on the next level. SC usually the county basketball tournament!!! See how much that has helped. Hope you understand!!!!!!!!!!

I don't claim to know alot about basketball..... I can claim to be an SC grad and that has nothing to do with who I pull for. If I didn't coach over here I would still pull for SC. I coach over here now, who else should I be for? I didn't pull for anyone but SC when I played and coached there. I still pull for the Owls when they don't play Gordonsville.

I guess Gordonsville forgave my dad for coaching at SC, don't know who you are, but doesn't bother me at all if you write me off or not. And I believe there are Owl faithful who understand I still have black and gold in me and always will. Blue just happens to go better with the Blue Devils.
