  1. I was told that I have the "perfect face for radio" and that picture proves that I can put my good looks out there for the public to see /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Really though thanks for the best wishes and the kind words (as well as the pictures that I received today) /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Good Luck to David Lipscomb this week!!!! I heard Fulton will bring the accordian to Pearl Cohn this week and play some "Polka" for the Nashville folks. Will David Lipscomb play the bagpipes for the Memphis faithful this week?????? THAT WOULD BE A SITE!!!!
  2. I'm sure the Pearl Cohn faithful would appreciate that /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> David Lipscomb has a fan who plays the bagpipes for one hour prior to kickoff. I'd get a kick out of seeing him & you do a duet in Murfreesboro if you are both in attendence /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  3. That's what everyone thinks with Livingston Academy. 2-18 since winning the 2005 Blue Cross Bowl /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" How could you not think that?????? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Pearl Cohn............."keep the fire burnin', are ya ready, don't play wit it" /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  5. WOW!!!! A great win there against Smith Co. The Owls are really good at basketball I am sure /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> GO FIREBIRDS!!!!!!
  6. Sycamore seems to be rolling right now at 5-1. Beating two Metro/Nashville teams looks good at this point in the season. They open district play Friday night against arch rival Cheatham Co. Harpeth is very good again too. I was caught by suprise to see that they fell to McNairy Central. Bingham's little brother must be a good player I'm guessing. The loss to CPA is very understandable. Wins over Kenwood & Dickson Co. look good thus far on the year. The Indians are still 4-2 and a favorite to win the district. Creek Wood is struggling in the early stages at 2-3 overall. The win over Hickman Co. was much needed and next up they play a Harpeth team that traditionally they've had good success against. Montgomery Central is also 2-3 but they are exceeding most "experts" expectations thus far. They've dropped a couple to Northwest & Northeast and their next game is against Clarksville High but I look for them to challenge to make the region this year. Waverly Central is 2-2 overall and doing nicely here in the early going. The win over Camden was needed for confidence as the season progresses. The week is tough here in the end with games against Henry Co. & Dickson Co. I'm interested to see how the Tigers fare against those "larger" schools. Cheatham Co. is young and off to a sluggish start in the early going at 0-5. They were competitive last night in the loss to Hume Fogg and are looking to build on that as the future schedule includes district rivals Sycamore & Harpeth. Fairview beat Santa Fe in the end prior to Thanksgiving break. They needed that win coming off of early season beatings at the hands of Independence, CPA, & Nashville Christian. The Yellow Jackets are 1-3. They open district play on Friday against Stewart Co. Stewart Co. became the third 11-AA team to lose to Houston Co. just last night. The Irish have also beaten Waverly & Mont. Cent. following their loss to Sycamore. The Rebels are 0-2 after that loss (other loss was to Northwest) and they look to turn that around this Friday against Fairview. IT LOOKS TO AGAIN BE A 2-TEAM RACE FOR THE DISTRICT CROWN AGAIN THIS SEASON BUT ALL OF THE REAL GAMES TO REALLY DETERMINE THINGS ARE ABOUT TO BEGIN!!!!
  7. As a fan of Class 3A in the midstate I would love to see a David Lipscomb vs Pearl Cohn title game /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. All WH has done is get to the playoffs, win a game occasionally, and then go home (usually before Thanksgiving). THEY HAVE 1 REGION TITLE IN 10 YEARS!!!! Wow!!! That's a great powerhouse now /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Cheatham Co. has been to the playoffs the last six years. They've won playoff games. Also like WH the Cubs have NO REGION TITLES to speak of in recent memory. Don't act like you are a powerhouse because you just plain are overrated year in and year out. Your coaches are great but your players are just average at best. DEAL WITH IT!!!!
  9. Who are you to laugh at someone???? What has WH done lately to make them so "great"????? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  10. She's got the "Sumner County" female thing behind her. You being from WH know all about that huh????? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. It was a SCRIMMAGE in the month of August????? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Wow!!!! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Somebody close this thread. This game was played two weeks ago and on top of that Hendersonville was done playing like a month ago last time I checked. At least HHS has a good looking cheerleading coach though because she is on!!!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  12. It doesn't have to be a "book it" because you can BANK ON IT!!!! David Lipscomb is going to crush Mitchell.
  13. So you are coming this week?????? Nice to see you are posting now dandy82 /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I thought you'd never come ack after that loss last week. It wouldn't be the same without reading your nonsense this week /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Road2Three, Cheatham Co. would easily play a competitve game against Austin East. They aren't "world beaters" trust me. I saw them on film against Fulton last week and they were very out of control /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  14. Fulton better plan on scoring then and that means OFFENSIVELY!!!! Mason will not gift wrap his passes like Montgomery (aka Santa Claus) did for the Falcons defense in last week's game /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  15. You must not know that we get CSS here in the midstate as well and those Knoxville games are replayed here in the midstate. I've seen Jock Stinson in person. I saw him last year against DL throw it well and I saw him last year against Pearl Cohn. He threw a couple of big screen passes in that game for Fulton but nothing deep was very well thrown. I also saw him against Alcoa earlier last year on CSS. If Wagner had not come in on that night then Fulton would have gotten killed. Stinson threw it to Alcoa several times in the early stages of that game before being benched. He would have never played later in the year either had Wagner never gotten himself in so much trouble. Blair is a winner and can throw the ball. As far as Austin East & Anderson Co. go let me say that they are good teams but not great teams prospect. AE can't throw the ball anywhere near like Pearl Cohn can do. Montgomery went blind last week because he threw the football to Fulton multiple times. Station Camp could run the ball better than them and they also had a QB who can throw it. His numbers don't lie and PC shut them down on offense in two games. Anderson Co. is a good team but they aren't great either. I'd love to pick Greenbrier against them any day of the week. We've had this argument before guys. Fulton has won 3 out of 4 titles. Outside of that what do you have????? Livingston Academy won the state yes but have they won more than 2 games since then?????? They are not very good at all and you know it. Knoxville Catholic needs to win a state title before they can be considered an elite team. Heck they need to get to the semifinals before they think about doing that /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Austin East won a title but that was in 2001. I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL THEN /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> If you count Austin East's title then I am going to count both White House & Pearl Cohn and their state titles. There is not much difference at all between 2001 & 1996-1997. White House won 3A in '97. Pearl Cohn won 4A in '96-'97. Both teams have also been to the semifinals in recent years. White House went in 2004 & Pearl Cohn went in 2006. Greenbrier was in the semifinals in 2003 and then they were in the state title game in 2004. Macon Co. had 1 GREAT YEAR like Livingston Academy did. The Tigers were a semifinalist in 2004. Since then they've gone 5-5, 5-5, & 2-8. Livingston won a state title but since then they've gone 1-9 & 1-9 /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" NOW THERE'S SOMETHING TO REALLY BRAG ABOUT!!!! The coaches knew they were going to be terrible so after winning the state title they got the heck out of there before the beatings began /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> LET'S JUST DO SOME TEAM-BY-TEAM COMPARING!!!!!! Station Camp = Knoxville Catholic (both have dominated the last two years and both have exited the playoffs the last two years before Thanksgiving) Sycamore > Anderson Co. (the War Eagles & Mavericks were both quarterfinalists in 2001; In 2003 & 2005 Sycamore had good playoff success; Anderson Co. has only had playoff success once since then and that came this season) Livingston Academy = Macon Co. (both had playoff success in 2005 & 2004 respectively; since their state title LA has gone 2-18; Macon has at least gone back to the playoffs once since their semifinal run & they've gone 7-13 the last two years). White House > Austin East (the Road Runners won a state title in 2001 and since then the closest they've been to getting back is to the quarterfinals; the Blue Devils won a state title in 1997 and they've been to the quarterfinals a few times and even gotten to the semifinals once since then). Greenbrier > Kingston (the Bobcats have been to the playoffs just about every year that I can ever recall with last year being the lone exception. They've won region titles and gone to the semifinals and state title game too in recent years. Kingston/Scott is not a perrenial playoff team and even when they get in they usually lose to a team like Carter in the first round). DeKalb Co. = Stone Memorial (Stone is a new school that just won a total of 1 GAME this year. DeKalb is an improvement in the making too as they won a few games this year and will win even more next year). I GAVE YOU GUYS A HUGE BREAK RIGHT THERE & TOOK THE NEW SCHOOL ACCOUNT INTO CONSIDERATION!!!!!! Coming into this one I'll say the following: Fulton > Pearl Cohn (The Falcons have won 3 state titles and are always a team among the favorites in 3A every single year. The Firebirds have won 2 state titles and are always among the favorites as well). Fulton's 3 out of 4 is a current streak so therefore they get the nod because they also beat PC last year. IF THAT CHANGES THIS YEAR THEN I AM CHANGING THIS PICK TOO IF PC GOES ON TO WIN IT ALL!!!!!!!!! THAT MAKES REGION 4-3A BETTER THAN REGION 2-3A BY A COUNT OF 3-1-3 IN MY OPINION PEOPLE!!!!! Region 4-3A has 6 teams that win games year in and year out and those 6 teams often times make noise when they go to the playoffs. Region 2-3A has a "1 YEAR WONDER" in Livingston Academy. Outside of that they have three good teams (AE, Anderson, & Catholic) who win games in the regular and post season but none are more special than a team like Greenbrier, Sycamore, White House, or Station Camp. All I am counting is 1 STATE TITLE on each side of that argument. AE has 1 in 2001 & WH has 1 in 1997. Kingston & Scott win regular season games but until they win playoff games then they do not exist to me!!!! Fulton has a slight edge over Pearl Cohn in state titles. It's 3-2 right now. That could easily change within the next two weeks. IF IT DOES THEN I AM CALLING THAT A TIE FOLKS!!!! Region 2-3A fans need to stop making their "HUGE SUCCESS" sound like everyone is a powerhouse. 1 TEAM has won state titles on a yearly basis and that is Fulton. Livingston Academy won a title but they are terrible as 2-18 indicates. ANYONE WITH SENSE KNOWS THIS!!!! Region 4-3A is BETTER from top-to-bottom. ARGUMENT CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I know HOWEVER you will soon see the truth in just a matter of time /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Maplewood will crush Henry Co. Last time I checked McNarl is playing at TSU and has no chance of taking snaps at QB this week for the Patriots. Tom Brady plays for the other Patriots so he's out of the mix as well. Maybe the Patriots can re-sign Drew Bledsoe this week to play QB????? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Nevermind he's not mobile enough to get away from the heat that the Panthers will be bringing /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> All in all this one is going to be a beatdown in P-TOWN!!! Where in the heck is boski????? Did he die of shock from last week's win????? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  17. Very True!!!! HOWEVER......... What in the heck does Stratford & Raleigh Egypt have to do with Friday either????? That's the comparison that I am still stuck back on page two wondering about /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Maplewood's Panthers are going to drill Henry Co. Maplewood has beaten Pearl Cohn, Hunters Lane, Tullahoma, Kenwood, Clarksville, & Hillsboro this season. All 6 of those teams could beat Westview. Nevermind............ All 6 of those teams WOULD BEAT WESTVIEW!!!!! Paris is about to become "Panther Country" this week folks so go ahead and make reservations to Murfreesboro Maplewood fans because that where you'll be playing in two weeks. Henry Co. can come too but you'll have to buy tickets to see any football /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> HENRY COUNTY ADRESS FOR THE PERSON WHO ASKED: 315 S. Wilson Street Paris, TN 38242
  18. Okay I said we wouldn't talk about last year but I do have to tell you this one. Neither of these two teams has the same caliber of play in terms of the linemen that they have had the last few years. I don't know if it is youth, genetics, lack of will, lack of strength, etc. What I do know is that in the past both of these teams have been based on running the football off tackle and stopping the run. Both teams can still stop the run but also on the same note both teams do have to depend more on the passing game to be successful offensively then what they have had to do in previous years. #10 Blair is a darn good player at quarterback. What ever happened to #5 Stinson???? He played great in the playoff wins for Fulton last year. Blair is a more polished passer than Stinson IMO. The Falcons receivers are good players. #9 Humphrey, #2 Tyson, & especially #4 Smith are all good athletes who are very dangerous when they touch the football. Humphrey leads the Falcons in receiving yards and he was a force on defense last week in the secondary. Tyson is the third receiver on the team but he also plays both ways and leads the defense in INTs. Smith is the best of them all IMO and he is dangerous wherever he touches the football. He also has a couple of kick returns for TDs on the season to go along with his receiving numbers. #3 Cobb & #27 Stokes make for an imposinig backfield. They pound it right at you. They also happen to be the best two defensive players on the Falcons team. Stokes may be the leading tackler in the Knoxville area. Cobb is very good at end. He is in double digits in terms of sacks this season. YOU ARE RIGHT WHEN SAYING THOSE 2 PLAYERS WILL BE KEY AGAINST THE PEARL COHN OFFENSE!!!!!!

  20. Friday November 30th will be the opening night of District 11AA Games. I'll post the schedule again following this post.
  21. EASY NOW!!!! How in the world can you say "schools like Station Camp, Greenbrier, & White House"????? All three of those teams are very good. I'd take any of them against just about anyone in the state in Class 3A. Fulton's offense hasn't exactly been great this year and Pearl Cohn's defense is the best that they will have seen to this point. THAT INCLUDES OAK RIDGE!!!! Against AE it was obvious that Montgomery could not throw the football to the right team all night long. His INTs were Fulton's points in that game. It wasn't like Fulton moved the football up and down the field all night offensively. Pearl Cohn's defense has allowed NOTHING all year long just about. They allowed 10 to Station Camp in two games. They allowed 21 to White House in two games. They allowed 14 to Greenbrier. They allowed nothing to Howard. They allowed 13 to a solid Sycamore bunch that went 6-4 on the season. THAT'S 58-POINTS IN 7 GAMES AGAINST PLAYOFF CALIBER CLASS 3A TEAMS!!!!! Since the week nine bye week PC has allowed just 17-POINTS in a total of four games. If you are planning on coming to Nashville with the intention that Fulton is just going to run the ball up and down the field all night long against the Pearl Cohn defense like they did last year THEN..............YOU ARE SADLY MISTAKEN!!!!
  22. All that David Lipscomb did last week against Bolivar was receive a WAKE UP CALL and that's bad news for any other team that plays them in the next two weeks. The Mustangs turned a 14-0 deficit into 38 points in a row and a three touchdown win. Mitchell is a Memphis team that deserves to be here. They've beaten the best two 7-3A teams IMO in Dyersburg & Haywood. That's no disrespect to the Choctaws from Dyer Co. but those other two teams can beat anyone on a given night. Mitchell has beaten them both coming into this week's game. It's Semifinal Friday Night and this will be a clash in Memphis. David Lipscomb: 42 Mitchell: 14
  23. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  24. Hey ruse? Will you be attending this game next week when Fulton comes to Pearl Cohn???? I would love to have the opportunity to meet you face-to-face. In my opinion this game features the player who should WITHOUT QUESTION & BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT be named Class 3A Mr. Football Back for the 2007 Season. Pearl Cohn quarterback Deaunte Mason has accumulated a total of 2,910 yards on the year with 32TD to go with those yards. Through the air he has completed 125/228 passes (54.8%) for 2,025 yards passing with 21TD & 8INT. On the ground he has 162 carries for 885 yards with 11TD rushes. THAT IS AN AMAZING YEAR FOR A GUY WHO MANY DID NOT BELIEVE COULD PLAY THE POSITION COMING INTO THE 2007 SEASON /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Mason had to deal with losing Rashad Mason, Brian Gupton, Jeremy Gordon, & Trokon Paye to graduation. Deaveon Gregory was lost following the first game of this season and will not ever return. That list of players right there consists of Mason's starting receiver duo, backfield mates, and tight end from last year's Region 4-3A Championship & State Semifinalist bunch. The entire starting line from that team also graduated. Brian Curry, Andrew Hudgins, Tim Smith, Lewis Brown, & Nathan Davidson were that group and all are gone. THAT ALONE MAKES DEAUNTE MASON'S YEAR EVEN MORE AMAZING WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE FACT THAT HE TOOK A COMPLETELY NEW FOOTBALL TEAM THIS YEAR AND GOT THEM BACK TO THE SEMIFINALS!!!!
  25. You are a bunch of crying whiners /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Good Luck next week......OH THAT IS RIGHT!!!! You are not playing /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> ..........and Cheatham Co. never started threads talking about how they would destroy everyone either now did we?????????? Now who looks stupid huh??????? LOSERS!!!!
