  1. Congrats to the Rutledge High Senior class, you boys have gotten 100 wins together, won 4 district championships, been to the sectionals 2 straight years"no one other team has done this",I think the only other team in the sectionals was in 2003 with a 5-3 loss to Seymour, you all have nothing to be ashamed of,you had a great team and a great run while at Rutledge. GOOD LUCK TO YOU GUYS IN COLLEGE, Jon Dalton =Walters State Joe Horsely and Eric Kitts= LMU I think knew you were talking to them. Steven Starbird= Berra or LMU Mitch Morgan < Do these guys have any offers yet. Dustin Dalton Andrew Myers We love you all.
  2. IT WILL BE A GREAT GAME AS ALL RUTLEDGE / SEYMOUR GAMES ARE,I WILL GO WITH RUTLEDGE IN AN UPSET AT LEAST BY WHAT ELVIS SAYS. Gibbs needs to watch out and not get caught in a Clyclone
  3. I agree if Pigeon Forge plays as they did Thursday, they can play with anyone.
  4. Why is Bramlett leaving? Rutledge is the district champs, they did take a whipping yesterday, but you do have to play by the rules, especially at this time of theyear, seems to me that the Rutledge coaching staff was on top of their game,by knowing the rules.
  5. Maybe the Pioneers will get it together and click at the right time, the potential is still there, but they need to find their desire, they still have a couple of weeks to straighten it all out.
  6. G-P and Union are improved teams ,but Rutledge needs to fix some in house problems,The looked like a team against Carter on Friday but The Bounds kid did not pitch. But on the other hand that FRESHMAN the WEBSTER kid looked tough , he shut Carter down.
  7. KevB have you seen them play ,where does your information come from,do you have a direct line in Cincy, I love these guys , but they have to grow up and after the Pigeon Forge game tonight, I could see the effort and they are trying to make that first step,Let's see what the do the rest of the week , Chucky Doak Wed,usually a good team and the Beaver Creek classic this weekend at Gibbs.
  8. I talked to one of the players Dad's I had to leave when it was 1-1,but Dalton for Rutledge and Harveston for Pigeon Forge,Good pitching neither one deserved to lose, he said Pigeon went up 2-1 in the top of the 7th,Rutledge come in the bottom gets a single from Trent , Starbird hits a triple to tie it up,with one out two intentional walks I think one of those to Jon Dalton, who didn't get to swing today, 4 intentional walks on the day "are they that scared of him" and Morgan took a walk to get the win. Looks like the Pioneers showed some heart tonight, what do you think.
  9. Oooooooooovvvvvvvvrrrrraaaattttttteeeedddddddddddddddddd, Overated, could be a term that most people are saying, but I say wait til May and judge this bunch of young men,I think they will adapt and overcome all of their struggles and they will be a force to be reckoned with at the right time of the year.
  10. The Pioneers have looked bad in their scrimmages from what I have heard, but I still look for them to take the district and I do not even see Pigeon Forge finishing second,we will know more in a few weeks,I think Pigeon Forge gets to see Rutledge in anon district game this week at the Hardball Classic.

    Scrimmages

I talked to one of the pioneer fans and they said they lost to Morristown East today 8-4, what is wrong with these young men , did they get the big head or what, from what I have heard they have not looked very good in their scrimmages yet, maybe they have been talked up too much, are they really that good?????????

    District 2-AA

I think the pioneers will be fine ,they have to shake the rust off early though,I see they have a tough start in the Lakeway tournament, I heard about the Greenville game, alot of runs there,Then I heard they had some cold sticks against Oak Ridge the next day.

    District 2-AA

Coach Big dog may be right Pigeon Forge lsot 2 Cannon's not one and like 4or 5 others.Like the French kid,I think G-p Union and Cumberland Gap all have a shot at second,I think Rutledge will win though with the experience they have I think the have about 6 or 7 guys back I know they have Horsely,Starbird, and Dalton and that was their first 3 hitters last year and they had a very good year, so I expect much of the same this year.

    Best Catchers

Jon Dalton from Rutledge could play any position,I think he was an outfielder his freshman year , he can do it all,but no matter what he is one of the best hitters in the state,I think the only one that might have been better was Cody Haun from South Doyle but he tore his ACL and is out for the year,so that makes Dalton the best now.
