We're not doing that well right now. We've got a good team though so hopefully we can turn things around. I'm having some arm trouble so I'm trying to get over that this week.

Yeah, I graduated from Clarkrange last year, and I'm playing at Roane State now. Who is better than Hudson? It's just my opinion, but I can't think of anyone from last year that is. Clarkrange baseball will always struggle until someone gets a decent feeder program going. Anyone who is decent from the Clarkrange area has to go to Jamestown to play against decent competition. It's always been this way. For the most part they teach you how to play in the feeder programs out there unlike the one out here. Alot of the guys that play and that have played for Clarkrange have never played organized baseball until they get to high school. We never played over 22 games in one season the whole time I played at Clarkrange, but a lot of that was because the program didn't have enough money to travel. We only got money to travel to district games. I know the new coach now. He'll work as hard as he can, but it's gonna be a tough year.

I heard there are a couple of Rockwood guys possibly come to play here at Roane State next year. Is this true and who are they?

Hudson is the best pitcher in the district as of right now and should be at the end of the season unless someone has drastically improved since last year.

Hudson will be the best pitcher in the district this year if I'm not forgetting about anyone. It should be a good race through the top 4 with celina, monterey, pickett, and rbs all going for the top spot.

Haha, that was a good post from the purple and gold dude or lady. I liked that one. I don't think you've ever played in your life if this is who I'm guessing it is, but it's no big deal. You were right. You would think it would have all went away when I left and that they would have been a lot better and won the district championship without me since my attitude and "showoffishness" left with me.

So you think you've had more talent than Baxter, Cookeville, AND... Pickett Co.? That proves my point on how knowledgeable you are. By the way, I listened to everything Coach Pile told me. I just didn't do somethings as good as I should have. That was my fault, not his.

First off for the last comment by snowbird-55, there is not one player that is at the gym unless they have to be there for practice, and there is usually one or two every practice that doesn't show for one reason or another. You won't find a single player at school when Coach Pile hasn't made something mandatory although I have seen the boys that just came back at school a time or two at night by themselves. Don't get me wrong I played with these boys for 2 years and like all of them, but the team is not as loaded with talent as you say it is. If these boys were working as hard as you say they are and are as talented as you say they are they wouldn't even need a coach. Just get someone out of the crowd and set them on the bench since everyone in the stands knows so much about basketball and coaching. If Coach Pile doesn't coach who does? Some fan or parent? If they brought in Bobby Knight everybody would complain how rough he is on the players and that he doesn't know what he's talking about either. I played three years for Coach Pile and I looked at him not only as a coach but a friend, and still do. Our team might have been a little out of control, but we listened to what he had to say and tried to do it for the most part. We didn't reach our expectations, but we could play with anybody and we respected him. I like all these guys and I want to see them win and play hard because before they know it it will all be over with. So instead of using your high school years to complain and feel sorry for yourselves, go out and play and practice hard, be productive, and have no regrets because when it's all over you'll wish you would have. I'm sure Heady and Hudson made it. There will probably be atleast 2 more because I think the 2nd place team gets atleast 4 guys. The coach should have already taken care of that.

Does anyone know of any 18 or over leagues that might be needing a middle infielder/pitcher?

From Clarkrange it was Travis Worley, Matthew McDonald, and me. If I'm not mistaken the coaches got a couple of trophies and got to give them to who they thought. I'm not for sure on that though. Good luck tonight Coach Looper.

Good game last night Monterey. I just wish we could've beaten you all atleast once in my four years. You all have had a great team every year I've played against you so I think that says alot about the job Coach Looper does with you guys. Good luck with the rest of your year. Get past regionals.

Marcus Matthews is a good dude and good player. We've played together and against each other since little league.He's one of the most consistent hitters I've played with. He could definately hit at the next level.

7A will play today. I'm sure Monterey can get the field in decent enough shape to play. It's a must play day.
