  1. Addamsville might have a good bunch coming back. They only lose one senior. Huntingdon should be pretty strong. Also you had better watch out for Chapman,Brown,Kee,Jones,Kirk,Bugs, and the rest of the McKenzie players.
  2. my prayers go to the family of this young fella, God Bless you, from west tenn
  3. they play only showcase tournaments. the same coach that is coaching the tenn stars coached the miss stars and had 15 of those plyers in 4 years go pro, maybe you did not check out the website
  4. Oh we'll see. They have pitching. Believe me. Two of the pitchers play travel ball. One beat out 30 other pitchers to make a 18u travel team this summer at Lambuth tryouts, that is being coached by the same coach that won the 18u World Series by beating Canada in 2004 and he is also was the scout for the Seattle Mariners and is presently a birddog scout for the Washington Nationals. He knows baseball and he picked the pitching staff. The Kee kid is the one I am talking about and he had more strike outs than J. Keck in fall ball last fall in Jackson. Ranked third in k's per inning over 32 pitchers. He is only 16. He has struck out many 18 year olds and will be playing at Delta State this summer and in Pensacloa and Ole Miss. I would not count him out. We will see.
  5. McKenzie will be back in Class A
  6. Sorry to misinterpet. I'm just happy for McKenzie and hope to see us there again. GO REBELS !!
  7. They will enjoy it for many years as well as the next one they win. I'm just saying that you can ask Dresden, Bruceton, Huntingdon, Medina, Smoky Mountain, Brentwood and a few others across the state (that got put out of tournaments by these guys) if they can play. They beat all these to advance to the semi-final at State in 2005 and they are only getting better. So we will see. I'm not going to argue with you about if they get another State Championship, that will be up to them. I'm saying they have got the talent and the potential.
  8. But it won't be impossible. These guys left on this team accomplished alot in 15 year old Babe Ruth and I predict that they will play in the State Tourney before they graduate. Drew is a very talented athelete but he was not the whole team. It took great plays, good at bats, great appearences by the rest of the bullpen, and a desire to win from the whole ballclub. That's what wins a Championship. The McKenzie Rebels, present, have alot of heart for the game and the ones coming up have the same passion and desire to win. So we will see. I'm just saying I have seen these boys ,that are left, win some big games against middle and east tennessee teams at State and they find a way to win. So look out. McKenzie's not done yet.
  9. I know that Jones, Chapman, and Kirk are playing on a 16 and under travel team out of Camden and Kee is pitching for an 18 and under team from Jackson. The Tennessee Stars. I'm sure Brown is doing something I don't know his plans and I'm not sure about the rest. Looks like most have thier summer planned out but if Brown hasn't made his mind up, he might be interested.
  10. Great Job McKenzie !!! Let's do it again ! Most of these players played at the State Level when they were in Babe Ruth and they improved and came back and won a State Championship at the High School level. We wish you much success Seniors ! We are proud of you ! We'll 2/3 rds of the remaining team that are mostly made up of sophmores that will be juniors next year also placed 3rd in the State playoffs last year in their Babe Ruth season. So let's return to MTSU and get another ring for McKenzie High School. What do you say ? Let's get another Championship, Kee, Brown, Jones, Kirk, Reeder, Chapell, Anderson ( members of the Babe Ruth team that placed 3rd in the State in 2005) and the rest of the McKenzie Baseball Team. Again, CONGRATULATIONS MCKENZIE !!!!!!

  12. Hyes during the regular season has had alot of attention. Colleges that sent scouts were UT Knoxville, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Birmingham Southern, Bethel, and a few others. There was a scout at every game he pitched this year. Pros who sent scouts were Cleveland Indians, Anaheim Angels, and Arizona Diamonbacks and also the President of the MLB Scouting Association put the gun on him and he hit 94 and 95 at some point in every ballgame. Taking nothing away from Minor as he looks to have a good future also but I would have to say Hayes takes the Number 1 spot.
  13. Whats your thoughts? Who will win...?
  14. McKenzie has a very good chance of winning State.
  15. I will have to say that McKenzie might have a limited supply of Senior pitching. There are other quality pitchers though. I think they have a good chance of winning State. They could go down into their sophmores and still pull up good pitching. Parker Jones and Clint Kee are two pitchers that carried McKenzie to the 15 year old State Playoffs last year and came home with 3rd in the State. They haven't been used alot this year but they are there and I'm sure they could step up if needed. The Kee kid had a fall record of 33 strike outs in an 18 and under league in Jackson, TN. last fall. This was more than any of the 8 teams from kentcuky and tenn that participated and he had an ERA of 2.9 after 18 games with a 1.37 k's per inning record placing him first in k's and 3rd in k's per inning. He also just tried out for a Tennessee Stars team in Jackson, TN which is a spin off of the Mississippi Stars that won the 18 and under World Series against Cananda in 2004. The same coach is coaching the Tennessee Stars. This is an 18 and under team that plays only showcase tournaments. Pretty good accomplishment for a sophmore. His stats can be found at advantedgesports.com under fall ball league. Also a roster for the Tennessee Stars. I think him and Parker Jones can play at this level and let's not forget McKenzie also has two other senior pitchers other than Hayes and Brown. GO REBELS !!!!
