why do people keep coming on here and sayin this year is the best team south has put on the field in years? if anyone was around on fridays last season they would know without a doubt that 06...the rebels of 06 were the best group of athletes to ever be fielded by the rebels...even more than the 1993 team that went to the semifinals...is it the lack of leadership that everyone talks about that makes them not as well rounded as this years team? it has to be because their is absolutely no way any south fan can say they have more athletes in 07 than they did last fall...

the rebels of 07 and Stacy Carter have a big load to replace this year. they lost a senior class that won the most games from their sophmore year to their senior year than any class in south history. with the loss of all conference players kitzmiller,dykes,murray,collier,wingfield,ringley,fickey,and pearson...how will they work to replace these positions...kitzmiller ringley and fickey were curts go to guys this whole year who will step into these guys shoes now that they are gone? also with murray and collier being the stars of the D line starting mostly since their sophmore year, have coaches even thought about how they will replace these 2 guys who they havent had to worry about replacing for 3 years? and pearson on both sides of the ball who will be stepping into his shoes for 07? and the biggest deal...mtn lakes defensive player of the year 2 times dykes, the biggest shoes to fill in 07 is their any way they can possibly come close to matching him with someone in the upcoming season? alot of questions there...and only more will come with time and practice since they just ended their first week of spring practice....anyone with some knowledge on the rebels of 07 please post with information regarding these questions

is ne1 planning to sign from good ol sullivan south this year? kitzmiller had an amazing year gettin all state. murray and collier were great on the defensive side of the ball and on the offensive side. and what about dykes? wasnt he the player of the year in the conference? are these guys going anywhere?

i believe sullivan south will be signing andrew murray to carson newman and jordan kitzmiller to tusculum...not sure of anyone else right now

Kitzmiller from SSHS i believe is elected to sign with Tusculum...Murray,Collier, and Dykes have yet to make a decision but have looked at Carson Newman and UVA Wise...yet again no big schools

ok whoever made that post must have been watching some other team this past year. Yes the upcoming sophomore class is ''decent''...but i wouldnt go on with all this hooplah u are in this post. taylor fletcher played in 1 game...2 games if u want to count playoffs...i dont think 1 game is enough to say he is great...hunter beadle...could be a decent lineman for south next year...if he can come down off of his cloud he is on...the starting as a sophomore has 100% gone to his head...and he has no reason to be that way...little kitz...heck of an athlete...watch out for him to play both ways...greer...is useless...a washed up has been from middle school...thought he was bad until he got to south and got showed up and went cryin home to mommy...im not saying this to trash any players...because believe me...south will be running to make it the 3peat this year...but saying this senior class will match the one of 05...u gotta be crazy...that is the best group of seniors south has ever had...and ever will....so bottom line...all these kids daddies on here raising their sons and sons friends up to be all nation players or w/e need to save it...talk if u know wat ur talkin about...if not...read tri cities sports and stay off the message boards here

Been a non conference rivalry for a long time....how does this 1 go? i think greenway has a long night in store

lets hear the comment on sullivan south....DB this week....

south is a 100% improved team from last year...and that is saying a lot....they have no weakness....they are stacked with QB Phenom Curt Phillips...and an awesome 3 back rotation...plus a 4 Senior O line...and thats just on offense...and the defensive side of the ball they have wat seems to be the best defensive front around...with 2 All Conference and All NET tackles Ryan Collier who plays some end and Andrew Murray, Collier has the speed, and Murray is strong and with quick hands...their ends Seth Pearson who had 8 tackles against HV, and Most likely Chris Collins...are 2 extremely talented kids...and we cant forget The Linebacking Corps...With Conference defensive player of the year Justin Dykes and his partner Paul Wingfield...it will be tough for the Indians to run it up or around this D.....south wins this game 14-7....
