  1. WTG Dawgs!!!  I see you reppin for your city, county, and the midstate. Take care of business next week and your right back to where you planned to be at the beginning of this season. CB10 is the new school Murphy Fair.  He even called the Stratford upsets over PC and Fairview. Note that Stratford ended the season 2-8. Good luck from your favorite Tiger. Paw would be so proud of those Dawgs!!!

  2. Great game to both teams. Would have loved to see Liggett run the ball more. The PC defense is fast, and the O-line couldn't slow them down at all. Wallace is tough to get up from some of the hits he was receiving. The refs called the correct call on the penalties for targeting/helmet to helmet. It was clear. MC had their chances to take the game, but mistakes got in the way. The DE made the PC qb rush a pass and the DT dropped a would be pick 6. Anyways I got my $6 dollars worth. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way. Go Tigers!!!

  3. Sloppy game for MC, but I don't want to take anything away from the wildcats. #25 Burks for Tullahoma is a homerun threat each time he gets the ball. #electric. The Tullahoma QB made some Aaron Rodgers type plays escaping pressure and finding open receivers down the field. Luckily the Tigers got the stops they needed to get to escape with the W. The Tigers need to work on OL, and DB play to get anywhere close to where they were last season. Go Big Blue!!!

  4. Round 2. A buddy from work and I were looking at the playoff bracket when it came out, and saw this potential matchup on the horizon. He is an alumni of LA, and of course I am an alumni of MC. I'm hearing the RB for LA is very good, but the team overall is young (sophomore heavy). I gave a little insight on the Tigers, but let him know he would have to see for himself in person. I look for MC to take advantage of Livingston's youth this week. Too many athletes on the field to contain. If MC can put together a complete game with no silly turnovers, I like their chances against anyone. Hoping for safe travels, and an injury free ball game. #GoTigers!!!

  5. The Tigers are sophomore heavy, but I see some positives from last night. The game was scoreless for about all of the 1st quarter and you add in 5 turnovers, that's why you see the score get out of hand like it was. Work on ball handling, fielding kicks, and not throwing in triple coverage, and I see this team growing as the season progresses.

  6. My breakfast crow was a little dry this morning.Trevor Holder played a great game and if he did great that means the O line did their job.Congrats.I hope #9 trades that blue and white in for some orange and white they need another beast on rocky top.

Trevor played a great game. Harrison runs really good routes and is a very talented receiver. Your defense stepped up as a whole. I would love to see #9 in orange and white as well. It was a great game. Good luck bobcats. You guys wanted it more. Don't get content. Go get it.

  7. I've talked to (or rather listened) two of the guys and they are ready to just call the season so I don't see us putting much of an effort tomorrow night. It's unfortunate to because as a previous poster commented, we have played well at the end of some of these games but just to late to get the win!

I don't believe this for one second. Giles will bring all they got. Surely their morale isn't that low. If that's the case, maybe it is the coach. It's his job to keep the players head right, but hey what do I care?? :)

Maybe @cornerback10 can come coach the bobcats???

My source tells me MC has been getting after it at practice all week. Those boys really want it.

  8. @likearock dude you can't go back in the archives. Lol. It'll be a good one. I just hope my boys in blue do what they do best. That's take the fight to the opponent (CPA exempt from this). Looks like we are in for another cold one this Friday night. I don't see heck freezing over though.

    Tigers 28

    Giles 14

  9. Winning the 2nd time is never as easy as the first. GC knows what it looks like now, we should read everything a bit quicker and it will make a difference.

MC expected to roll in 2011 with their new coach and win in the regular season. Nobody could stop Irrazory.....we would have to focus everything on stopping him.

    Sound kinda familiar?

Everybody has looked at the quads......all the meat is in 1&2......a win in this game could go a long way for either team.

Does sound familiar, but their was no pass threat for MC then, and this Tigers team has the 2011 team to learn from. Walker and Irrazory are two completely different styles. So we want make that comparison. GC did make life hard on him and gave a thunderous lick over the middle.lol. I never said a win would be easy. If Giles thinks that they automatically win due to a 2011 let down, then they may as well not load the bus to come to the Big City. MC will be ready. Believe that. Why should GC read it quicker now? I thought you knew the plays very well?

I do agree that the playoff bracket favors this Quad to do some damage.

    Go Blue!!!

  10. I've been reading post for the last few days waiting on a good time to reply. MC fans - a win will not be handed to the Tigers. They will have to fight hard for 4 quarters and want a win more than Giles. This rivalry has proven that. GC fans - if you think Walker and Howard are the only players MC has, then you haven't done your homework. Posey #19 has been consistent all year. Really good player with a lot of targets besides Howard. The Bobcats defense was in position to tackle #9 Walker all night, he was just eluding tackles and going through different holes. see highlights. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2565645/highlights/195300941

I see Giles putting more focus on stopping Walker this week, which in turn will open up the opportunity to catch giles sleeping on the pass.

    MC -28

    Giles - 14

  11. Preach on! execute, execute, execute! Couldnt agree more, I will call names......Cam!

@catfan68 this is a big No No. Don't call the kids out. At the end of the day they are still kids, and we are just fans. We probably couldn't go out their and perform at the level the kids play at. Marshall didn't play a perfect game either, so we can throw that out the door. Walker was contained for the first half and broke a lot of arm tackles in the second half. Pure heart. MC will have to work on blocking. It was cold and our passing game was off. That will be fixed. Series is tied at 26-26. Winner takes the bragging rights and continues on.

Fun fact : Chris told me this morning that a win next Friday night will give him an even record against GC football. ( I kinda poke fun at him being that we never lost to giles in my 4years at MC) motivation at its finest. Go Blue!!!

  12. Ready or not here it is... Gameday!!! Sworn rivals will face off tonight in what I think will be a physical game. @WOMG - we actually have had really big crowds this year. I know, I have been lonely the past few years by myself. Lol. Spoke to Chris Walker this morning, and he told me there is no way the Tigers will overlook giles. Says that the bobcats are better than their record shows. He knows how important a Win will be, and what a loss will mean for GC. He said the hard hat is packed, and it's time to grind it out!!! Go Blue!!!

  13. Thanks for the Gibson stats. BTW who is Chris Walker? I'd like to hear some stats on him as well if anyone has some. Thanks

Chris Walker - Marshall County RB/SS

    Offense - 88 carries 919yds (1345 all purpose) 22 total TD

    Defense - 71 tackles (43 solo) 3 int.

    http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2565645/highlights/165609376

Chris is also the team leader, and has a 3.9GPA. That's my favorite stat of all.

Not many carries for #9 Walker on the season, but I feel he will have the bulk of the carries tomorrow night. Coach O says that Walker may be one of the best he has ever coached. That's saying a lot given the guys he coached at giles.

It's going to be a cold one. Maybe some good football will keep us all warm. Go Blue!!!
