Doogie Porter--offensive guard/D-line for Jo Byrns, may be shorter than some, but is one of the strongest kids I know. Work ethic is incredible. Had shoulder (rotator ) problems back in the spring, that kinda carried over to the summer. Blake Copeland--offensive guard/ Defensive end for JBS. This kid has worked extremely hard over the off-season. I dont have his numbers for the weight-room, but it is awesome. Orlando Taylor---2nd running back/ DB for JBS...This kid is amazing to watch. Only a junior, and has moves like Reggie Bush. Has great potential. Jeremiah Smith--offensive guard/ D-line (Defensive end) for JBS. This kid worked hard in the weightroom this offseason also. Keith Lutton-- Tight end/ defensive end for JBS. Another one of them, that has worked very hard in the weightroom. Kurt Reeves--Tight end/ Safety for JBS. Took a year off to concentrate on Basketball (and excelled there also). Only a Junior. He can "lay the wood" on defense. Has great potential. I will stop it here. There are lots more guys on JBS, that work very hard, and worked very hard over the offseason. This list, is just a short few. They are people Nobody really has heard of, but they are what keeps Jo Byrns together. You cant win a game with just 2 or 3 players. You have to have all 11 playing together. And even more than that, if you want to be great. And Jo Byrns has that. Good luck to all Region 5 teams. LETS GO JO BYRNS!!!!!

I like the splitting into East/West. Would these schools just be "re-zoned", or are these schools new (that they would be adding to Region 5) ? That would be interesting....East and West Region 5....Then, would it be, "East Region 5 1A champs" and "West Region 5 1A champs" ---or--- just Region 5 1A champs? Whatever it takes to continue the Rivalry!! Almost 2 1/2 more days!!!

Hey Neutral, does that mean that Every game JBS plays next year will be a region game?? It would be a shame not to have the East Robertson/ Jo Byrns game. It doesnt seem like bragging to me. Its just someone saying that they couldnt remember something. If you had read the previous posts, you would understand what he was talking about. They were dicussing something that happened years back, and trying to remember what the "saying" was at one of the schools. Well said, Neutral. Dont do anything special. JBS, play YOUR game. Dont "over analyze" this game. Play this game, just like you were going to play anyone----of course, you do have to put into consideration, very talented players in Tico and Desmond Payne, and how to contain them... But just go out, and PLAY YOUR GAME! As long as JB is on top of their game Friday, there should be no reason to why they shouldnt win. Granted, East is a very good team. Not my numbers. I got them from the Coacht website. They May be updated since then, but thats what they were as of (??--When ever I posted this). If they are updated, someone please, post it on here. I personally believe that it should be what you are taking about (Forrest over McEwen)----But they arent my numbers. Tuck, what about Cody Poole. I thought I saw him banged up in the Eagleville game, and then again in the Nashville Christian game as well ( back problems or something, looked like). I dont know if Dr. Robert Elder Field will have a transformer explode, and then play again from the start of the 3rd quarter on saturday, and have Jo Byrns come back to win by ONE point in Over Time, but I think it will live up to the hype. It has always been, and will always Be, a great rivalry game!! Good Luck to both teams here. How is East looking, as far as injuries go? I hope they 'bring it' Friday night. Those are good predictions. Its kinda hard to tell now, maybe in a couple weeks, when some of these games actually play out, we can see. Right now, it is up for grabs. Its whoever wants it the most, really. I would like to see Clarksville Academy win that region game (even a couple more*). That program needs a good win like that. I think it is a couple levels Over Obsession. I tried to calm him down, but he doesnt seem to want to hear it. Dude, chill out. I found that quote that you are crying about. For your information, it wasnt even a Jo Byrns fan. It was by neutralobserver, the quote was: "I think we're all a bit uncomfortable with how close you guys are with your farm animals". It was in the Forrest v. Cascade thread. He said it once, and nobody responded to it, not even him. You just need to chill out. Dont let this farm animal thing get to you. You are the only one bringing it up. Practice hard this week Jo Byrns. Like NeutralFan said, this may not be a region game, but you know BOTH sides will be playing like it were for the Gold Ball in the 'Boro. Always a great game to watch. Hopefully alot of Robertson County fans can come out to this one. I know that Greenbrier plays Cheatam Co. at home; Springfield plays Hunterslane at Home for homecoming; WH Heritage plays in Kentucky. Good Luck to all Robertson County teams this week. Its JO BYRNS** And the word you are looking for, is PRIDE. Something Jo BYRNS ** fans (and players) have alot of. And with plenty of reason for it. Yeah, what comes around does go around. 100% correct there. Jo BYRNS** in the past, got whooped by almost everbody that they played (CPA, DCA, Ezell, etc). And it only made them better. Now, they are awesome. I bet you anything, that they could run with those schools now. Last year (I know this is THIS year, but just trying to make a point) Jo Byrns beat East Robertson, a 2A school, that has CPA, DCA, Ezell in their Region. East Robertson Won that Region last year. So you say, what comes around goes around...yes, it does, and right now Jo Byrns is in favor of the "come around"...Heritage, McEwen, Forrest, Cascade have to go through Jo Byrns , if they want it...And Jo BYRNS** Does NOT want to give it up that easily. So why WOULDNT we have PRIDE for our Team? Of course we are going to talk big about them...Until someone can stop them, We will keep right on talking. Got anything else to say?

Your numbers are right. I dont think the standings will change much: 1.) Jo Byrns 2.) Cascade 3.) Eagleville 4.) Forrest 5.) McEwen 6.)Heritage 7 & 8 Either way (Nashville Christian or Clarksvile) I have a feeling, that somebody from this region will be in the Boro this year. What do ya'll think?

Alot (Actually ALL) of Region 5 1A teams played each other last night. This is how it went down: Jo Byrns wins against Nashville Christian---------34-12 Eagleville wins against Clarksville Academy------41-10 Cascade wins against Forrest-----------------------27-7 McEwen wins against Heritage----------------------14-7 Region 5's Combined record, as of today is 24-10 . Not Bad. Strength + Success Ranking DIVISION 1 - CLASS A 1 Friendship Christian 1.60 2 Jo Byrns 1.35 3 McEwen 1.35 4 Forrest 1.34 5 Cascade 1.33 6 Temple 1.31 7 Fayette Academy 1.30 8 White House-Heritage 1.25 9 Coalfield 1.22 10 Cosby 1.19 5 TEAMS out of our Region, are in the Top 10.
