  1. Thursday night scores: Siegel 1 Brentwood Academy 0 Ooltewah 2 CCS 0
  2. Siegel's intensity improved Thursday night. 1-0 win over Brentwood Academy.
  3. Siegel keeper was Sydney Dewberry. None of the goals scored were offsides and I had a great view of them all. I did like the "rain delay" with about 15 min. left in the second half.
  4. Siegel 3-1 over Blackman. I give Blackman credit for hanging in there and not giving up. With the young players they have, they are going to be very good in another year or so.
  5. Thursday 9/20 7:00 Brentwood Scademy v. Siegel at Siegel Soccer Park Stadium Field Chattanooga Christian v. Ooltewah@Ooltewah Friday 9/21 all games at Siegel High School 5:00 Brentwood Academy v. Chattanooga Christian 7:00 Ooltewah v. Siegel Saturday 9/22 at Siegel High School 10:00 Chattanooga Christian v. Siegel 7:00 P.M. Ooltewah v. Brentwood Academy( game moved due to an event at BA earlier in the day)
  6. Siegel 6-1 over Ensworth. Siegel is hosting a tournament next week with Brentwood Academy, Ooltewah and Chattanooga Christian coming to town. Let's all behave ourselves on here and keep in mind BigG has better things to do than to mediate another Cookeville/Blackman dispute. In the end it is all settled on the field anyway.
  7. Houston's shot went in literally as time expired. The official blew his whistle as soon as Siegel put the ball back in play . Siegel outplayed Houston for about 85% of the game and the two were evenly matched. Megan's injury occured about 30 yards away from where she tore her other ACL last year. Both Siegel coaches and several players and fans heard a pop as she went down, so we'll have to wait and hope for the best when she sees the doctor next week.
  8. Whitey usually is on top of things with the standings..maybe he will post them in the next week or so. Upcoming big games: 9/11 Blackman@Riverdale 9/18 Siegel @Blackman 9/25 Cookeville@Riverdale 10/08 Cookeville @ Siegel 10/10 Riverdale@Siegel These should be the games that decide the regular season district title. I think Oakland, despite being much improved is still a year or so away. The rest of the teams ( and I have seen Lebanon and White Co.) are not up to the level of the others.
  9. Siegel 8-0 over White Co. Riverdale 9-2 over Lebanon
  10. Siegel v. Father Ryan will not be made up. The Siegel coaches weren't thrilled with the idea of having 4 scrimmages next week and Friday and Saturday this weekend weren't an option. The heat is still supposed to be bad on Monday and Tuesday, so the director of schools may step in and cancel more events for the Rutherford County teams.
  11. Riverdale@Siegel 7:00 Blackman is playing their game at 5
  12. I heard from a parent yesterday that if James does come back it will not be in goal. I guess that we will just have to wait and see.
  13. You have it right, I just hope it dosen't fall exactly 1-4, 2-3 then 1 and 2 in the Championship.
  14. That is the plan officially. Oakland for the Semi's and Finals
  15. Cookeville 2 Siegel 0 Congrats to Cookeville for winning the regular season. They came out last night played hard and wanted it more. The tournament should be very interesting.
  16. Siegel's #13 is Chase Adkins, I think the left wing you are refering to is #9 Larpin Butcheron, but there were 3 guys who played on the left at various times.
  17. I will never count an Arman team out. A team playing for pride can be very dangerous.
  18. Mjuhb you were the best ballboy I've seen this year. One of these days all of those great scoring chances are going to fall to the tune of 6-7 goals, but probably not until next year. This is going to be an exciting tournament, Keith has said it all so I am not going to repeat it.
  19. The Semi-Finals and Finals will be at Oakland. First Round will be at the higher seed
  20. Mjuhb you missed the last Siegel goal because you were busy excelling at your role of ballboy at your end of the field. Franklin's goal was one of the best headers I've seen this year.
  21. Shouldn't Warren Co. have two losses instead of two ties in your standings? They lost to Cookeville and Blackman. I have not heard anything about the tournament yet, but if anyone does please post it.
  22. My field was hit by the frost too. We didn't overseed this past winter and we also have the the problem of middle school games and of all things rugby, which did a nice job of brutalizing it by playing after a rain. I do prefer Bermuda, but playing soccer in the spring means that you run the risk of playing more on the sand or dirt base rather than grass.
  23. Siegel 1-0 Riverdale was never really in the game. The score should have been 3 or 4 to nothing. Siegel missed two wide open chances. Riverdale's best chance came when their forward was fouled by the Siegel Keeper. It should have been a card, but the referee just gave him a stern lecture. Riverdale is not playing very well right now, they might be able to pull it together by tournament time, but they are going to have to play a high seed now to advance. I just don't see them beating a Blackman, Cookeville, Warren Co. or even Siegel and Lebanon in the tournament.
  24. Siegel 2 PJPII 1 Yankeesfan, If you had seen the Blackman-Siegel game you might have a different opinion of them. But that was also a very emotional, hard fought game.
  25. The first yellow was for a profane dissent. The second was for taking his jersey off on the field and continued dissent. Blackman's goal was a great shot.
