I think Coach Thomas is a good fit for the tigers, but lets not call all the mistakes bad coaching. Some of the coaches from the past season were very disciplined and pushed for discipline. Also the players have to run, tackle, and block. So I think the blame can be put on the players also at times. I went to almost every game and sometimes the players didn't make plays. And no matter if your are Phil Fulmer or Bear Bryant the players have to make it happen. I wish nothing but success for Thomas, it will be interesting to see how the players react to such a disciplinarian. From what I understand the coaches will be here in a couple of days, can't wait to see what happens.

Same at MCHS all three linbackers were new at that position, from the year before only some of the secodary kids played their position from the previous year, but I'm not making any excused for our team. Discipline killed us on every aspect of the game. Hopefully those things will change and we can play with some consistency in all phases of the game.

The difference in MCHS gave up 296 points and Cheatham gave up 248 points. We were not very good on defense this past season, I can agree. But the difference is between Clarksville Quarterfinals and Harpeth 1-9. So I guess we could say we both need some work on defense. Agreed

Forget about skill level, grade, or whose child it is. From what I took from Coach Thomas you have a choice whether you play or not. That is the only option you are given. Everyone is gonna follow the teams rules.

I know that one quit because of the hair cut rule. The others just didn't want to play football anymore. The meeting went well, Coach Thomas told everyone what his expectations were and left it at that, if you want to play you will do things his way or you will find something else to do. Exactly what this team needs!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is that it will be very interesting tonight @ the 6:00 parent meeting? We will see which parents will whine and complain first NO DISCIPLINE TO WOW !!!!

Enough is Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a new coach in Lewisburg, lets focus on the new and quit bashing the old. Because I bet if we were to did deep enough in some of our own closets we could find some dirt (nasty dirt) So lets talk about the new era at MCHS

There is a new era starting here at MCHS. Coach Thomas has been hired and from what I understand he has talked to the players. They know what he expects Simply: Johnson has moved on, MCHS football has moved on, the players have moved on. PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY GET THE PICTURE-- "MOVE ON"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET WITH THE PROGRAM OR GET OFF!!!!!!

Do you think he would leave his current job to come here? If they could get him that would be a excellent choice. He is a good football coach. He would also be a good fit for the players

What coach in his right mind will go back to place where he wasn't wanted????????????????????? I have a great idea why don't we just let you guys coach and I guess everything will be okay next year. Since you guys have all the answers and all the dirt on people. WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THIS PROCESS ITS TIME TO STEP UP AND DO YOUR JOB AND FIND THIS PROGRAM THE BEST COACH POSSIBLE.
