Is Coach Herrell gonna coach at the high school?

I think that all of the sophomores will come back, and it looks like there are another GOOD group of freshmen coming in!

I understand, that might help a little, as long as they use the passing attack a little, and let Weston run the ball, it should work out pretty well!

I just thought I would see what any body thought about clinton football next year, it seems like every time people create a Clinton post, the same STUPID people get on and talk about players leaving, and bad coaches. Well I got news for you people, Mr. Hazlehurst, and Stone are going NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!! And the coaches, well, GET IT IN YOUR HEAD, were not getting new ones, so support the ones weve got, Their actually not that bad!

Uprising, No, I wasnt a player, but I do believe that for the most part, most of the players like the coach, and I think Clinton has a good chance against AC! I dont think Oak Ridge is that good, they lost Gulmire, and some more valuable players, and they played like a bunch of peewee's, I've seen their practices, and they can be good when they want to be, and last Friday night, DEFINETELY was not one of those times!!!!

Hey "uprising2007", I dont know what your problem is, but I think you need to grow up! I just graduated from Clinton last year, and I NEVER heard a complaint about coach shattuck, and i never heard ANY of the football players complain about anything that went on, on the field, coach Shattuck is one of the only coaches, where you have to be doing good in academics, (making passing grades) to be able to play, that shows alot, it proves he cares for his boys, if he didnt, he would just play the best, there is some good stuff going on at Clinton, and people like YOU are gonna ruin it, I dont know if you had a kid that had to sit on the bench, or what it is, but you need to stop acting like a 2 year old!!!! Nick Frazier was a freshmen last year, he didnt play till the last few games by CHOICE! When he finally played, he was AWESOME!!!!

I have to agree, but I believe that Westin can do it, he has the moves, and is just small enough to be tricky, but also big enough to do something. I do believe that Nick Frazier would have to be the Go To Receiver.

Both of the Qb's are doing pretty good, it wouldnt surprise me at all if coach shattuck actually played them both, as far as the running back goes, Westin Hazlehurst will make a good one, if the line will make way!

How do you all think the dragons will do this year? according to the paper, they are gonna have a really good season, maybe even playoffs?

Ive been watching and a listening, aint had much to talk about the past few weeks. I think Clinton will be better though, even though I will graduate this year, I will always keep up with our team. Oak Ridge will take it again this year, but wait till 2008....

Clinton looked terrible against a Very good Wildcat team, but they looked pretty good against powell last night, I say it will be close, Dragons by 1.

Clinton should be able to beat alot of teams next year, and there is excellent young talent at Clinton, and The South Doyle game could have been alot better, but the Dragons got their heads up their butts when we killed Campbell Co.,

Hazlehurst if not leaving! But I agree there are more than just him that can step up, I heard that the Middle school has some HUGE Offensive lineman comig over next year.

Clinton wasnt outcoached, the only difference was, that the Dragons couldnt keep theirselves on their feet, and the Panters could, the score was 20-0 half way through the first quarter! the first kickoff of the game, Cruze ran 80 yards to the endzone, I was in the Student section, therefore at the end of the field, and I clearly saw that Cruze was not touched, and the Clinton players were on the ground, after the 1st quarter, Clinton finally figured out how to stop the panthers, but it was WAY too late!!

If we can stop Powell's running game, we will be alright!!

Before the last game, I would just like to say something to the Clinton football Players, Whatever the outcome tonight, we all know that the Clinton football team has improved drastically, I dont care what out of town people say, but we all know. Atleast we have been able to go into games this year, trying to figure out ways to win, and not how not to lose VERY bad. Just dont give up, to the seniors, excellent job, the leadership was really good, and to the younger players, just use the offseason WISELY, and dont give up, the future is very bright! Good luck tonight, and go out and whoop some Panther Butt!!!! GO DRAGONS!!!!
