Is it me or does this seem like the best year, as a whole (and yes I am including you Greene Devils, you are inside the County Lines)for Greene County Football ever? I cant remember a year that 4 out of the 5 High Schools in the County were in the playoffs. Granted...up until around the late 90's only the top 2 from the conferences advanced to the playoffs..but it seems like a great year. Not to mention that Lil ole Chuckey-Doak gave Betsy all they wanted, West Greene almost beat Austin East, SG should have beaten Happy Valley (#1 seed) and Greeneville worked East Ridge! I say hats off to Coach Murphy, Coach Ballard, Coach Case, Coach Jones and all of their assistants. You guys put in way too much time for your pay, not to mention the time away from your family. Trust me wives, I know(as my wife says) yall are Coaching widows during the season. Shout to BM(CD),CB(GD) and JC(WG). Keep up the great work.

Could you please proof read before you hit the add reply button! This comment makes no sense. You dont even make any sense when you try to put someone down. Coach Murphy does things the right way, he is one of only a handful of coaches in Greeneville and Greene County to even play College Football. Also, I may be forgetting someone, but I dont know of anyone else in the County or City that coached College Football. He Did. Trust me, he knows the game, he just hasnt had the good fortune of having a bunch of Athletes. There will always be people in the stands like you that think they know more than the coach, thats just the nature of the beast. Thats why we have thick skin, it just comes with the territory. If you think you can do better go get your degree and apply for the job little man.

It was a full scrimmage, not a perimeter scrimmage. Jalen was just out for a couple of days for SG and Pardy and Julius didnt play for CD. So I wouldnt put too much stock in that scrimmage. Both teams are much better than they were at that point.

My Black Knights take this one to finish 8-2 and beat South Greene for the first time since 1992. They better show up and play though because those Rebels will make it a battle. This is Road Kill Week! Does anyone remember the 1990 game (i think)on Rebel Hill? The final was C-D 3 SG 2! That was the original Road Kill.

Those 2 teams are from Georgia. Football is a different world in Georgia. Glad to see all the success the Greene County teams are having. This will most likely be the best year, as far as wins and losses as a whole, that Greene County has ever had. Cool! ...and yes Bud, 18 has a Sho Nuff Gun. The White team in the video is the team Rajion Neal played on last year. Are you familiar with that name?

I have the perfect team for Greeneville to add to their schedule, its an out-of-state game that would be great for both schools. It also has a few inside stories to it as well, people with Greeneville ties. It would be a lot of fun. Two really good programs that continue to get better. You are a google stat queen...GREAT job! Nobody gives CD a chance and that's just fine with them, but no county team like Gville and CD have so many inside stories...always have. Bunch of CD kids that are in their district have played for Greeneville and a bunch of Greeneville kids have played for CD. No different this year...Hope Cd can keep it close but they WILL bring the WOOD!

They ok. Devils will know Cd has been there. They will bring the Black flag and be the hardest hitting team they have played to date. I just think it'll be fun seeing Greeneville in "The Black Hole".
