You miss the point sports guy. The players for these schools don't come from one area (town, county, community, or even one state). It is unfair to public single A schools restricted to a school zone to compete against schools pulling players from all over the place. Maybe Sale Creek and Whitwell were bad examples. What about Lookout Valley? They've won plenty over the years in baseball. They haven't fared as well over the last few years against Boyd and Christian. Not knocking Boyd and Christian, both are fine schools that win alot ... they should be in a league with other schools that don't have school zones, whether they give financial aid or recruit or not.
