0-10 which is very unusual for us. That's why Smyrna only had one sophomore who actually played. Hopefully next year's sophomores will contribute more next year than this year's did.
Actually They Had Two One Played All Year On The Kickoff Team And Punt Team. He Made A Tackle In The State Game Which The Returner Fumbled And He Had A Key Block Against The Owls On The Fake Punt We Ran. Sean McKay #34. He Made 5 Tackles All Season On Only About 45 Plays

Go back and read the posts. It is a messed up way of doing things. We (Ooltewah)had one player with better stats than Josh Day! It is too late. But what does this mean ALL STATE. By what association? I don't want to take away from the guys that made it but this is not a measure of the best player for each position. I bet if you go ask your coach at Smyrna I bet he for got to send his ballots in or something.It is a stupid way of doing it.

The Game Was So Lopsided The First Time Around For A Multitude Of Reasons. I'll Name Them Off For You Because You Don't Seem To Know Them....
1. Josh Crouch Didn't Play
2. We Had A Different Defensive Package
3. Reuben Shadrake Was Coming Off Two Weeks With Verry Limited Action Due To Suspension
4. Team Morale Was Down
5. Our Offensive Plays Were More Conservative
However Smyrna Was Still Outplayed And Outcoached I Mean You Don't Score 49 Points On A Team Without Talent And Good Coaching. The Second Time Around Though When Smyrna Had Everything Fixed And Came In Ready To Give It All We All Saw The Outcome. I Hope That These Games Become Closer Now. Then That'll Solidify The Fact That It's A Rivalry Game...

That 5'7"Corner has more talent, heart, leadership and intelligence in his little finger than most kids his age hope to have in their entire body. Look at his stats man and then be proud of what he has accomplished all year--he has been accepted to one of the most reknown universities in the SEC, not to play football (gosh no, he's only 5'7"), but to make his life more than a football game--his coach didn't care how tall he was--he counted on him all season and would do it again if another game was scheduled. Get off the post if you can't say something nice--and leave the Ravenwood players alone--none of them have cast any stones at anyone at Smyrna--they were just happy to be there--they will be remembered as having represented their school with class, heart , and one heck of alot of talent--do you play or just observe?
I Never Said The Kid Didn't Have Heart Okay We Have A Linebacker On Our Team Who Was 5'6 You Don't Think It Took Heart For Him. I Didn't Say Anything Against The Kid's Heart Or Talent Alright. What I Said Was Your Coach Made A Bad Decision Putting Him On A Player Like Rod. I Don't Care How Much Heart You Have There Comes A Time When Size And Talent Catch Up To Heart And That Was A Bad Coaching Move. I Mean I'd Rather Have A Less Talented CB On Tall Reciever If The CB Matched Up More Size Wise Or At Least Double Up On The Receiver. Your Coach Didn't Do That And It Ended Up Hurting Ravenwood. Okay First Off How On Earth Does Me Capitalizing My Words Even Close To Mispelling Everything I Type. If I'm Not Mistaken I Spell Almost All My Words Correctly And Speak In Almost Perfect Sentences. I Promise You When You Fill Out A Job Application The One With Capital Letters Will Look Much Better. Get Off My Nuts About Capitalizing It Has Nothing To Do With Bad Sentences. Yes I Know Their Past Records But I Think The Coaches There Are Starting To Get What They Want In Place And I Wouldn't Be Suprised If Blackman Sneaks Into The Playoffs. If They Don't Then I Would Expect Oakland To Be The One Who Rains On Their Parade. LaVergne Is Losing To Much Between No Coach And A QB Who Has Been That Team For The Last Few Years. Lebanon Is Always Around But They Didn't Have Enough Weapons To Impress Me This Year. As Far As Oakland Goes They're Always Really Iffy. Don't Get Me Wrong They Have The Talent That's Obvious If You Watch Them. They Just Seem To Lack "It" Football Players Know What I Mean By "It" But As Much As I'd Love To See Oakland Take Out Riverdale And Make State They Just Seem To Fall Apart In Games And You Can't Expect To Make The Playoffs When You Can't Keep It Together The Entire Game. the ironic thing to all of coachT is that i did want smyrna to win. and no it doesnt make me feel better to say we lost to the state champions, but it does make me feel better to say we beat them 49-0

But From What I've Heard There Will Be At Least 5,000 Smyrna Fans Alone And Around 4,000 Ravenwood Fans I'm Sure There Will Be More Than That For Most Schools But That's The Last Ticket Count I Heard. I'll Bet Only One Team Scores More Than 14. Whoever Has The Ball Last Will Probably Have A Great Chance To Win Too. I Can't Wait Only 27 Hours To Go!

I agree with you 90% but there is a need for 10% good humor. It seems when anyone wants to talk about the team, it goes nowhere fast. I’ve mention this in my previous post.
I would like to discuss the Ravenwood O-Line versus Smyrna D-Line. I know it is fashionable to talk about the skill players and they deserved the attention but games are won in the trenches. If the opposing lines don’t match up well, then RB can’t get through the hole and the QB get rushed or sacked. This is one area Ravenwood excel in.
The O-Line is a beastly bunch and anchor by two excellent tackles that’s handled everything throughout the playoffs. The guards and quick and agile while the center is pitching the ball back to the QB and rarely makes a mistake. They work as a seasoned unit. They will beat on the defense all game. Generally, the defense will start to wear down throughout the game. By the fourth quarter, the O-Line has their way with the defense. How can Smyrna defense match up to this season O-Line of Ravenwood?
Okay So I'm Gonna Talk About The Game, For Once
. Ravenwood Does Have A Pretty Good O-Line From What I've Seen So Far. Actually They Probably Have One Of The Best Smyrna Has Faced This Year. Smyrna's Weakest Link As Some Might Say Is Their D-Line. While Ravenwoods Line May Be Able To Control Smyrna's Line It Is Not The Bulldogs Line That Makes Plays On Defense. Smyrna's D-Line Pretty Much Takes The Other Teams O-Line Out Of The Picture. What Am I Talking About Your Probably Asking Yourself...? Smyrna Makes It's Plays On Defense From The Linebacker And Defensive Back Positions. As A Matter Of Fact So Far In The Playoffs The Linebackers And D-Backs Have 20 Sacks While The Line Has 5. If Ravenwood Pounds The Ball They May Find A Few Breaks But Will Most Likely Not Win. If The QB Sits In The Pocket To Pass They Can Find Some Holes But The Pressure Will Eventually Cause Problems For Them And They Most Likely Won't Win. The Best Weapon The Raptors Can Have Is A QB Who's Accurrate And Can Scramble. Also If Their Defense Can Cause Turnovers. If They Can Do Those Things It's Gonna Be A Long Game For The Bulldogs. If Not I Would Expect Smyrna To Inch Out Over The Raptors. -

Hate To Rain On You're Parade But Freshman Rarely Play Under Coach Shad. I Believe The Last One Was Luke Powell Back In The 90's. I Don't Remember If Rodriguez Played Any As A Freshman But I Don't Think He Did. Anyways There Really Isn't Any Room For A Freshman And I Doubt Any Are Ready For Varsity. I Do Think It'll Be Between Smyrna And Riverdale Though As Always...LOL
