Sorry to disappoint you - my child wrestles so he has nothing to do with NW football therefore he won't be "riding the pine" and won't be any need for such talk about kissing bottoms. I agree with Golfendude, lets keep the thread positive & open - have fun! As I stated - I'm from Clarksville and behind the "Cats" to win this one.

Why can't you guys be nice? After all - you both coached and were buddies on the Vikings sideline in previous years before footballfan15, aka Kelly Myers, went to Hillsboro as Defensive Coordinator this year and coachchris86 stayed on with Northwest. I just wonder if you guys call each other on your cell phones before you start posting out here on Coacht.com to find out what each one is going to say just to keep these threads going.... Being from Clarksville and a NW Parent, I'm cheering for a Wildcat Victory! They looked good against Springfield!

It will have to be a miracle for NW to pull this one off and I don't think they have it in them to do it. NW will be 0-7 after Friday night and from watching them play this year - doesn't look any better for them down the road. This could be the year NW has a perfect season... 0-10. Springfield wins this one - big. They will give the Vikings all they can handle and them some.

While it might be true all the negative talk in the world won't get the team anywhere or help team spirit, this "talk" is not only being written or read on this board - but this "negative talk" is in the stands among the parents, former players, and NW alumni watching each week the Vikings getting beat - I know, I'm a parent of a player too and I hear and see what is going on. Now - I know this is only high school ball, but if this coaching staff was at the college level, they would have had their "pink slips" by now. It is true - these coach's put in long hours but something in this program is broke and needs to be fixed - what's the old saying about stuff rolling down hill.... couldn't be more true here - this mess at NW starts with the "head coach" and travels all the way down through what the "head coach" calls his coaching staff. NW season this year is shot - only hope NW has is that a big change is brewing in the wind and things will be better next year for these young men.

Only way I see NW getting a win on this game - the Springfield bus breaks down and the team doesn't show up. NW will be 0-7 after this one

Have to agree that NW has some serious problems in their program.... CHS wins this one and the Vikings go 0-6.

If I'm not mistaken (and I don't think so since my son played last year) - isn't this Varsity team pretty much the same JV team we had last year that was undefeated???? Big difference in JV and Varsity football evidently because something is wrong - something is broke or we wouldn't be 0-5. So is it the players or is it the coaching that has gone wrong? I think we all know the answer to this one!!

Yep, that is me - the interfering father. You are probably right - good coaches are hard to find but I would just like to have ones that are more concerned about the players than themselves. Teach them, guide them. Evidently something is not working at NW, otherwise NW would not be 0-4.

Come and talk - don't think so. Tried of doing that during booster meetings, locker room and on the field. What the parents and players say just get tuned out - suggestions never taken and things remain the same. The only thing I can hope for my son - is that by some miracle - NW actually beats KW tonight, but I'm not placing any bets on it.

Bitter no - and no apology needed. Tired of the mess at NW - Yes. Tired of seeing these kids give their hearts and souls to a football program where the coach's are more interested in promoting themselves than they are teaching/mentoring these young men. This program needs leadership - something they currently don't have with this coaching staff.

Yes, as stated in an earlier post, NW has a new assistant who is doing great things with the team, but that person - should he be offered and actually would take the job - needs to get rid of the current coaching staff and bring in a whole new staff - one that he hires and not one he inherits. IT IS TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE AT NW!!! I wonder.... does the Clarksville- Montgomery County School System know they have a coach posting on Coacht.com during school hours at taxpayers expense?? Last I checked it was the taxpayers of Clarksville who helped foot the bill for the school system and that was for teacher's to teach - not be on a football posting board during school hours.

On the coaching staff, only 2 remain from that time. One coach from that time period is now at Hillsboro and all the volunteer staff has moved on. For my family, this is last season at NW. My son will not be back unless drastic changes are made - starting at the top and working its way down.

CoachWhoKnows - I think you may be on to something here.... sounds like from these postings someone created themselves a "pseudo screen name"! Where is Bulldog69 and 1400WJZM? I'm sure they will have some good commentary for this thread!!

I think I'm going to be sick - If I'm not mistaken, Stevens as of right now is the Captain of the ship at NW, not Southerland. They have one good coach that just started working with the Viking players and if NW administators are smart, they will hire this man to be their new head coach when Stevens steps down. NW needs to clean house and get rid of all the others! I sit in the stands and see first hand what kind of coaching staff currently is in control and watch my son play every Friday night - it is the same old mess NW has had for the last few years. Coaching staff can't even get along - how can they expect to put a quality team of players on the field. NW is not lacking talent, they have that - what they need is leadership! The Viking ship is sinking and sinking fast. Time to get a new CREW!!!

Game is at NW not at Kenwood, but I have to agree... until the coaching staff is gone, our winning days at NW are pretty much over. I too feel bad for the seniors, I sit in the stands and watch their frustration every Friday night - but maybe it will get better for our boys who will be back next year, at least I hope so for mine. Time to clean house NW!!
