For the second year in a row, Colonwad isn't fielding a team.
-
Is Collinwood even fielding a team?
-
That film might be worth something to Lewis Co. or Loretto on the alumni football black market...We will be handing out the game tapes this Sunday at the field house. We are going to sit down in the film room and watch it. Your welcome to come as is anybody who was a part of the game from either team. If you cant attend then just swing by and ill get you your copy. If you cant make it at all on Sunday let me know ill meet you and give it to you.

Is Collinwood even fielding a team? They didn't last year. The only games i see them having a shot at winning would be of course McEwen and Perry Co. But I think they at least have a chance to beat Houston Co and Zion. That being said if the win more than 3 it would be a good season for them but i dont see them exceeding 2 or 3.

Too much pot.Why has Collinwood had a down turn?

Just heard the same. We'll see.Just heard they may be staying...?????????

Crews and Pierce are both getting close to retirement and Dixon has actually been due retirement so it'll be interesting to see how and who will be offered the head job and whether they all decide to stick around. Hopefully there won't be another Charlie Foxtrot like '06.

Yeah that's where his parents live and where he went to school. So I don't know what dude was getting at.Yeah something i just remembered he is in Humphreys co. alot...McEwen HS. Pretty sure thats where Rick is originally from and i think his parents live in the area. He aint leaving WCHS n going to McEwen or Humphreys county thats for sure.
-
Bruh, you said he'd been seen in Humphreys County quite a bit. What's that got to do with anything?and you said you saw elvis! whats your point?
-
.i wonder if wc is making a counter offer or is in a position to do so
What would they offer? Not having to mow the field? The job's not worth having unless you're local and just don't want to leave. None of the coaching jobs are.

+1Yes as waterboy....the jig is up, im actually Shaun Kiddy. I have 2 relatives who are on the current WCHS football team and was told he talked to them about the issue about a week ago. I cant practice right now anyway i believe my eligibility expired about a decade ago.

Word around the campfire is R. Rice will be coming on as an assistant and P. Rice as QB.Okay, I'm intrigued. What has Wayne County got to do with Oakland High School? New staff hire? Transfer? Haven't heard anything about this.
But I've heard nothing official.
-
He has addressed the team regarding the possibility of taking the job but told them nothing is finalized. One thing is for sure we will know without a doubt by this time next week.
Have you been practicing with them?
-
What's the word from Oakland folks on Rice & Son from Wayne County?
-
I have but ONE source and i can promise without a shadow of a doubt tht he will be leaving and his announcement will likely come Friday or mid next week at the latest. I have been told the money and why the move makes sense for he and Preston. Oakland is a powerhouse and has scouts their all the time, D1 scouts. They lost there big QB and have 2 rising SRs competing right now for the starting spot. They feel confident Preston will come in and start.
The job is a great opportunity for Coach and Preston and I wish them both well. But can Preston beat out two rising senior QBs with 5A experience? I know he's good, but coming from 1A where he's a big fish in a small pond to a much more competitive, talent rich, larger classification will be quite a transition.

I spoke with a few "firm" sources myself and all I got was a few chuckles and a "you can't believe everything you read on the internet" explanation. Hopefully an official announcement will come soon.

Looks like all the tweets you're referring to have been deleted. That's not what I'm referring to. You might want to check Oakland High School's Twitter feed. They are apparently convinced he'll be calling signals for them this fall. I would assume that his dad has taken a position with their new staff.

LiarHeck no lol....

And I saw Elvis at Piggly Wiggly the other day. What's your point?coach rice has been seen in humphreys county quite a bit lately!
-
Mark your calendars for May 1st. Anybody have rosters for both teams? I know some of some that are playing for WC but not all.
-
I have seen the names and dates they graduated for WC. 41 people have signed up and one person played in 1987.
Looks like 51 for WC and 37 for Colonwad

Hes been 70 since peewee and his older brother was 70 before him and his younger brother will be a freshman 70 next year. Don't know why they picked that number but it has stuck and sure makes it easier when buying school shirts! Thanks for the kind words! With a lot of hard work he will be back on the football field somewhere next year!
It's a pretty good number to choose
