You guys are talking about players.....without a head football coach......This thread was begun to talk about the head coaching position. Can we get some scoop on who will be the next head coach will be? What's the hold up? I'm just anxious I guess.

Any news for South Doyle High School?

A former East Robertson High School assistant coach has applied as of Jan. 2nd, as a long shot. He is willing to take an assistant coaching position just to get back to East Tennessee. Just a rumor kids...I can't confirm this though. If you guys know anything else just post it.

WGHS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE MENTIONED ON THIS BOARD UNTIL THEY WIN AT LEAST 4 GAMES IN ONE SEASON. BETTER YET, GET RID OF YOUR FOOTBALL PROGRAM PERIOD, YOUR WASTING VALUABLE TSSAA RESOURCES.

Both teams are horrible, and don't deserve to be mentioned on CoachT. Bottom line, both schools can't play football. For further reference stop wasting people's time online by posting anything about greene county bottom feeder schools. Region 1 2A as a whole is inferior and needs to be reduced to playing flag football. When any of you region 1 schools can come out here to Madison, TN and beat us here at Goodpasture, then you deserve to be mentioned, until then go back to dating your sisters and cousins.

Case will be the man with the same assistant coaches as last year (my best estimate & opinion). There has already been a surge in interest from the students at WG. Good luck to the Buffaloes for '07.

What about the staff? Who will he bring in? Do ya have any info on that? What about the schedule for next season?

Like I said I have nothing against him. I just know and I cannot name the source but that is the reason that he will not be considered at least for the foreseeable future. The choice will be a certain assisstant from M. West if he chooses to apply for the job.

T. Beets!!! Why would anyone leave M. West for West Greene. Don't make sense. But with Helton gone as commonsense seems to know, his hireing would make sense.

Helton taught P.E. / Drivers Ed.

Great point, no one else is raising those points commonsense, so who would you recomend? I do think Early should stay, I don't know too much about Helton. WGHS does need more than just three coaches. The facilities are not that good, but it is better than (Choke a Duck) I mean Chuckey-Doak.

Give it to Helton, he seems to be the only one interested. I wouldn't like it, ( and nobody on this message board would either ) but why not, if there is such a lack of support. If the school is not going to take it serious keep it inhouse and give it to him.
