  1. The season I am talking about we lost because they called a fumble on our Quarterback when it was'nt when we were driving. We lost by about 8 gett your seasons right.

2010... State Championship year. We were driving and nether team had stopped the other all night. A fumble was called (even though his knee was down) after a 50+ yard run deep in their territory . We lost by 4... 36-40. We may not have scored but I wish the chance hadn't been taken from us. One of the best HS games I have ever been part of

  2. man, your boy zone goes back and deletes 3 pages, or more, of me making you look worse than you do on your own, and you're right back in your fantasy world, after zone cleans up your mess. :roflolk:

how mad were you, cursing mad! warden had to put you in place for breaking the rules. :roflolk:

i look forword to you cut and paste reply. :thumb:

Sorry but that was CoachT who paid a visit. I imagine he will be back. This thread won't last long at this rate

  3. Post are getting deleted so it's time to stop kicking a dead horse and move along...I'm done with this guy...Time to get back to what matters and that's Wayne county and SP....Any news updates about if the other Allen is going to get to play? What about 10? He seemed to get shaken up...He is a good size kid...Was he hurt earlier in the year? Never saw him play until Friday

    Thanks

Matt told me he could have played Friday but didn't want to chance it. He is planning on being ready to play Friday. I think Duell is OK. He is David Jones brother... he is a back-up LB and plays some

  4. You are worrying about the wrong things. Didn't say anything about a coach getting let go does matter to me. What I said is what I said it is what it is sorry if you don't like it. Keep it moving and line up for the next play 1 an 10.

rc213v you need to tone it down a notch. Read the CoachT Rules. This goes for everyone

Topic is the Wayne Co - SP game... Everybody please stay on it

  5. Lol good call on the random timeouts!

He has done this for 15 years....Strange and often times questionable...I think every fan knows when they are coming haha

LOL trust me... he has good reasons for his "random" time outs. He makes very good use of them even though his reasoning is not apparent to the fans

Gordonsville is very good...good line on both side and the QB and skill people are all good. The Coen kid is a beast. Gordonsville was the best team we played in the playoffs last year and they are better this year (and will be good next year...lots of juniors). They are the best playoff team we have faced since Trousdale in 08 and Union City in 09 and we all know how those came out. If the Pirates play their best we can win... they play like the last few weeks .... we don't wanna go there. This team is not playing up to their potential and so far is not at the same level as the 07,08,09 and 10 teams. They have the talent and have it in them but just have to reach deep and let it out! GO PIRATES!!!

  6. Not wanting to make assumptions about this Friday with G'ville and Eagleville, but just wondering about scenarios. I know that if South Pitt and G'ville win then SP travels to Gordonsville. But what is the scenario if Coalfield wins and G'ville wins? Would that matchup be at Coalfield?

    Yes...at Coalfield

    from tssaa.org

    UPPER BRACKET

    (3) South Pittsburg (10-2) at (1) Coalfield (10-1)

    (2) Gordonsville (9-2) at (1) Eagleville (11-0)

    If Coalfield wins, they host.

If South Pittsburg wins they travel to the winner of Gordonsville/Eagleville

  7. If you leave the bench, you are involved in the fight.......unless your running away

Not if you go out and are pulling your own players back to the bench or trying to break it up in some other way. They should just stay on the sideline but that never happens. A player won't get ejected unless he is actually fighting

  8. Section 8. Substitutes Leaving Bench Area in an Incident or Fans Coming Onto the Field or Floor

    A. The school will be required to submit a report and video tape if available. All schools are instructed to inform individuals taping to continue taping all incidents.

    B. For substitutes leaving the bench area in an incident or fans coming onto the field or floor, the school will be fined a minimum of $250.00. In addition, other non-monetary disciplinary action will occur.

CF may have trouble fielding a team if what they say is true about half the team leaving the bench.

Players only get ejected if they are involved in the fight. School gets fined if they leave the bench

  9. I have hear a lot of complaining on here about teamsnot wanting to play south pitt in the regular season, saying they are scared. This is not the case, but why would you play a team that if they get the chance will run up the score and leave their starters in the entire game even after the "mercy rule" is in effect. If you ask me this shows a lack of class on the part of south pitts head coach. why would and inferior team choose to play someone like that. cant for the life of me see how south pitt is still in 1A level judging by the number of kids they put on the feild.

    Just my opinion

Unfortunately your "opinion" shows that you don't understand small school football. Typically in a blow out game the starters play the first half and at least the first series of the 2nd half and we start substituting liberally but we don't always just pull the whole first team. Sometimes due to the starters being underclassmen they play longer to get experience or in some cases injuries force starters to play the whole game. Being a small school we don't always have quality back-ups for starters like bigger schools do. You don't put a freshman in against another team's senior starters. Other teams want to leave their starters in even when we put our young kids in. Sometimes it looks like we have the starters in because honestly our 2nd teamers are better than some teams starters so we still score points.

As to classification it is based on the size of the school not how many kids play on the team. SP has fewer students than just about every other 1A school that plays football (we are one of the smallest) but we have a high percentage of kids that play on the football. We can't help that our kids have pride in their school and want to play sports. Other schools just need to work harder to get the kids out to play.
