All Star Games

I have always had a question on how they pick the all start teams that play in the TN.KY All Star Game as well as the East/West Shrine game.

 

I see a lot of times, that kids from smaller schools get shunned.

 

Is there a board and if so is the board evenly made up of coaches from all classifications from each region. I know there are limited spots. But it seems to me that a lot of really good players at 1A and 2A schools get passed over. Or Kids who put up huge stats against weak competition get picked.

 

I am not sure that TN has had the best players on the field for the TN/KY all star game in a long time.

 

Also, I talked to a player who played in this game and he said it was absolutely a miserable time. This should be a reward for the players....Not just practice all day and then sleep. I know they are on a tight schedule but they need to do some fun stuff, whether it be a movie or just hanging out.

 

I know of a few kids in east TN that are at small schools that deserve to be picked for this team and Not just from Alcoa.....How do you go about getting these players names considered.

 

Any coaches or others who have information on this, I would love to find out how to get mine and some others a chance to play in the big All Star Games
