Region 5-AAA Tournament

With district tournaments wrapping up tonight, who do you like in the region? So far these are the matchups:

 

#4 Lebanon @ #1 Rossview

#3 West Creek @ Mt. Juliet/Beech Loser

 

#4 Clarksville @ Mt. Juliet Beech Winner

#3 Hendersonville @ #2 Kenwood

 

I am sure Mt Juliet and Rossview are looking to avoid each other until the final but Beech is no slouch. They could pull the upset tonight. I think whoever wins tonight in 9AAA walks to the region finals, as Kenwood, Clarksville and Hendersonville (minus their pg) just dont seem to be on the same level.

 

I think Rossview will likely beat Lebanon at home, making a very interesting semifinal matchup vs Mt Juliet or Beech. I dont think West Creek beats either of these teams on the road. Beech handled them easily back in early January. Should be fun! I love tournament time!

Ok. So, now the brackets are set. Where are the potential upsets here?

I think Mt Juliet walks to the final. Beech and Rossview, I think, are the only teams that can give them a game.

where are the region semifinals held?

The Region 5-AAA semifinals will be held at Rossview HS in Clarksville unless it is a sweep by District 9-AAA tonight. If all 9-AAA teams were to win tonight, the site would be at Mt Juliet HS since they were the tournament champions. Good luck to all teams! Go Hawks!

Well, the first round went about like I thought it would. Can Hendersonville or Beech pull off the upset in the semi's? I would be surprised if either did. I would like to see Mt Juliet vs Rossview in the finals. Two big, physical teams locking horns! Should be a great week of hoops on the boys and girls side!
