McKenzie @ Trenton

Trenton is at home and wants redemption from its slim loss to Dresden last week. McKenzie, meanwhile, rolled up 510 yards in a flat performance during its 44-20 blasting of Adamsville. Tim Haney does a wonderful job with the Golden Tide. He's won before and is truly one of the most enlightened coaches in the area. He has a keen sense of what's important regarding football. Rest assured, he'll have his Tide prepared when the Rebels visit. This will be the second big test for the Rebels, who passed their first toughest test with a 22-0 bagel over Obion Central. It seems McKenzie does it's best work on the road, as the 46-7 victory at Camden suggests. The Rebels will be well-prepared, too, make no mistake. Homecoming is over and there are no distractions. Trenton will put up a good fight and always does at home, but McKenzie has so much firepower. Trenton will have to play its best game of the season to emerge victorious. Last year, McKenzie won a defensive struggle 7-6. McKenzie's defense has been stifling this year, allowing around 130 yards per game, but only 160 and change combined the last two games. Trenton is not Adamsville, though. It will want retribution for last year's heartbreak. These two rivals go way back, too. It should be fun for the fans to watch.

If Trenton is gonna beat us, which I don't see as likely though im not saying it can't happen because it can, Trenton wont be beating us by 2 TD's, it will be more like 1-2 point victory, those who see a 2-3 TD lead might as well dream on, it aint gonna happen, that goes for McKenzie too, some of you McKenzie people on here have a motor mouth and are saying things you know you best not be saying.

McK - 28

Pea - 21

Trenton will certainly be prepared when it hosts Huntingdon Friday. Frankly, McKenzie is more physical and has too much firepower to be extinguised by the Tide. And McKenzie's defense has been excellent. I don't see Trenton scoring more than two offensive TDs, if that. Trenton must gamble defensively. Yes it is at Freed Field, but the Rebels have done quite well on the road. Final score: McKenzie 39, Trenton 14...if the Tide stays in it long enough to keep the Rebel first unit in the game. If the Rebels control the game by the time the fourth quarter starts and some of the less-experienced players enter, McKenzie 33, Trenton 21.
