So do the teams that are in the finals advance to nationals?or is it the top 4 or what? I am not sure

The 4 teams that reach the semi-finals will advance to the national

tournament (top two finishers from each pool). Based on the post

from Btexpress, the fifth place team will also advance (assuming

SE Elite reaches the semi finals).

Somebody has to know how this tournament went...?

The semi-finals are the two memphis teams from pool A and

SE Elite and YOMCA from Pool B. YOMCA and Oak Ridge had

the final game of pool play. However, I believe that YOMCA

was going to advance regardless. That should leave Etowa and

Oak Ridge to play for fifth place.

Nike had three tough losses including OT on Friday with two chances

in the final seconds to win in regulation. Nike had the lead for a

part of the game with the second Memphis team and led the

Memphis Blackhawks until the last minute of the final game

of pool play.

Tennessee Thunder lost to Oak Ridge and SE Elite by margins of

about 15. I believe that the YOMCA game was a little closer.

SE Elite appears to be playing very well. They dominated Tennessee

Thunder for much of their game in pool play.

Who won the pool, YOMCA or SouthEast Elite? Also how did the semi finals and finals play out?

YOMCA defeated SE Elite in pool play. Oak Ridge was leading

YOMCA at the end of the first quarter in the final game of

pool play. Even if Oak Ridge won, I believe that YOMCA would

get the nod based on head to head performance.

I do not know about todays results.

This is how they finished. All have bids to the Nationals.

1) Memphis Blackhawks

2) Memphis Etowah

3) Oak Ridge Bulls

4) YOMCA Tigers

5) SE Elite

Airforceone:

The Etowah team is from East Tennessee. I believe that the

number two team you refer to is the Memphis team that replaced

Memphis Elite in pool A. Etowah would have been the number

3 team in pool A. It appears that the top two teams in

the tournament came out of pool A.

Based on your list, I assume that Oak Ridge defeated YOMCA

in pool play. YOMCA, Oak Ridge and SE would have been 2-1

from pool play. SE Elite appears to have missed the semi's

due to head to head and then points.

YOMCA losts some heartbreakers on Sunday. I felt like they were the team to beat. The lost by 2 to Etowah (Memphis), then lost in overtime to Oak Ridge to drop to 4th. Oak Ridge beat them in pool play, which dropped the Elite to 3rd in the pool. I think YOMCA started their bench against Oak Ridge in pool play and had to play catch up as a result. In the Semi-Finals Oak Ridge hit a 3 at the buzzer against YOMCA to stay alive and go on to win. The SE Elite played with just 8 players this weekend. They were without their 7 footer and several others. They played very well given those circumstances. Josh Henley, Terrence and Cameron (form Alabama) played exceptionally well this weekend. It think everyone underestimated Cameron's outside shot.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
