Garnett newspapers all over are on life support. In Jackson, the deadline to have stories ready for next days publication is 7pm. No scores no nothing about hs sports in the Saturday morning paper. The most you will get is a couple of feature stories during the week. I'd imagine most Gannett papers state wide are in a similar situation.
What I'd love to see is all the home schools in the state report their scores to the site that can't be mentioned on this forum like they do to the TSSAA site at the conclusion of the game. There are even a few schools who are lazy about doing the simple task of reporting their scores at the games conclusion. I'd also love to see all schools report their games stats to the unmentionable site by the end of the weekend. I really think it should be manditory to report all stats to the TSSAA site by the end of the weekend as well. It would make a web site operators job much easier in putting together a credible site to cover a section of the state. Unfortunately, there are plenty of schools to lazy to do that. The days of papers giving detailed reports is going the way of the Doo Doo bird.
