Correct me if I am wrong, but very few if any coaches are still coaching the position that they intiated their career with. How smart is it to have an offensive coordinator who is not familiar with the inner workings of the offensive line? What kind of offensive coordinator would one be if he couldn't coach a receiver to run a dig or wheel?Most if not all coaches/coordinators have coached other positions, and sports for that matter, this is the "well-roundedness" that you should find in a successful coach.
