This is a thread to bring em out of the wood work. I have it on authority that coach Julian has paid thousands of dollars to bring in 150 loads of top soil. This top soil will be placed on HHS'S sidelines. The current O.C. has trouble seeing the field from his current placement, hopefully the addition will allow him a higher venue. After spending that kind of cash, puss n' boots is going no where.

Correct me if I am wrong, but very few if any coaches are still coaching the position that they intiated their career with. How smart is it to have an offensive coordinator who is not familiar with the inner workings of the offensive line? What kind of offensive coordinator would one be if he couldn't coach a receiver to run a dig or wheel?Most if not all coaches/coordinators have coached other positions, and sports for that matter, this is the "well-roundedness" that you should find in a successful coach.

Don't let ignorance overule good judgement. It is not that he didn't get the job, it was that it was GIVEN to someone else. I sure the man had plenty to offer, and would have been successful.

Believe what you want or must, but I saw what I saw. The sad thing is that some young, ignorant kid is going to try and reciprocate. It was DEFINITELY the coaches. It's vandalism against your own school, with the intent of it being blamed on innocent kids from an opposing school. Pretty low in my book. Those coaches SHOULD have more important things to do at 7 am.

I just spoke to my sister, she said that her boys mentioned something about anti-Powell graffiti being painted on the field. Surely the Powell coaches would not be so low as to "plant" grafitti. Those are steps taken by the most desparate of coaches. HTV what is your take on this situation?

Being the curious cat that I am, I will venture onto the field thursday morning and see if I can figure it out for myself. Also I have two nephews that are in the band, I will ask them about it.

Why was the Powell coaching staff painting the field Tuesday morning? I know I saw them there, I just couldn't see exactly what was being painted. It struck me as peculiar that they were out there on a Tuesday. They wouldn't be out there early Tuesday morning to paint for their next home game would they?

Where is the game to be played this week? I saw Matt Lowe and Rusty Smith, alomg with some others I did not recognize, painting the field EARLY Tuesday morning.

Gun Never said that the kid was on Defense. If you could read you would know this. The point that I am trying to make is this; you make a bust on "D" you get scored on. You make a bust on "O" someone may get hurt. If the kid was not practicing on offense, he shouldn't have played with the ones. Do us a favor, have one of those fine English teachers from Halls proof your posts. You are not making much sense.

Be that as it may, let's not call kids out by name and/or number. As I said, the kid has ability and shows promise. I don't think the purpose of this message board is cloak and dagger. I certainly would not appreciate someone blasting my child on this message board.

Gun I agree lock, stock and barrel. I saw a kid out there (at wing)whom I have not seen all summer. I have been to every afternoon practice and this kid shows up for the scrimmage and gets in. I heard a parent say that he was wrestling or something while the other kids were practicing football. I watched him for a while. He seems to have some ability but he looked lost. Not knowing what to do on defense will get you beat, not knowing what to do on offense will get someone hurt.
