I think SMHS should beat Bledsoe and have a shot at LA and Scott. It depends on how the team gels at camp and we hope no one gets hurt before the season starts like last year! How was the Freshman turnout at CCHS?

Panthers have a new DC, he is from south FLA.

I heard that the dc went to karns and the oc moved to Crab Orchard Elementary for personal reasons. They have been shopping for replacements. Panthers looked like a typical spring team, a few good plays, a few drops/fumbles, a few booted plays and a few plesant surprises.

My bad! Stone Panthers play Rockwood in a scrimmage this Friday.

I may be wrong, but I think I heard they are going to scrimmage Stone Memorial Panthers.

Freshman QB Patrick Brumfield from SMHS will be attending. This is our first DS Camp, we are looking forward to this camp.

Play hard boys!! This may be the last game for sports in Cumberland Co.! Our wonderful county commissioners have refused to fund the school system with enough money to run the system! So there may be NO school on Monday. I would Like to thank the commissioners who voted not to fund education, they such fine up standing people and leaders, but I bet they are in church very Sunday!! I guess each elementary school has about 10-12 8th graders, so times 4, we should have about 40 freshman per school. At SMHS this year we had about 22 show up and about 18 left, not sure about CCHS.

DITTO!! Get out and vote!! This county needs a shake-up, from the commissioner's to the school board. When county commissioner's can not fund EDUCATION then we might as well just close the public schools.

No, we have 8 elementary schools. Kids in 6th, 7th and 8th can play football. Now 4 schools feed CCHS and 4 schools feed SMHS. In the elementary program it's all in county play, no travel.

Jetfan21, we typing at the same time. I disagree about elem vs middle, and you are right, both schools are better than their records show. Its just going to take time to rebuild and get in the right region. Good Luck!

I do not think the elementary schools are the problem. Look at Cobb Co. Georgia, 6th, 7th and 8th middle schools and NO! sports of any kind and some of the High Schools have great programs. The biggest problem here is the split of the schools. Go back to the 2005 season, the last year before the split. The Jets went 2-8, but look at the scores, Bearden loss by 1, Lenoir City loss by ll and we should have won it, Lincoln loss by 5, Coffee we won. In 05 the Jets played alot of sophmores, several started. I think had we not had the split the last 2 years would have been pretty good, but now we have to start over. Both schools are in the wrong regions. Another thing at SMHS is we just do not have any big boys. Every school we have played, with the exception of CCHS and Bledsoe, all have lines who are a head taller and 30-50 pounds heavier. Maybe the elementary schools need to order the "special chicken" for the boys only! At SMHS we have 1000 kids enrolled and we have 48-50 boys playing football. This is freshman, jv and varsity. I think we should have at least 80! The big question is why are the kids not playing??

To bad, It going to take time at both schools. I thought we had a chance to go 6-4 or 5-5, but injuries have killed us, an you guys are every young. I think both CC teams are in the wrong regions and in time that will change. Looks like will have to cheer for each other for a while, because no one else will. Good Luck!!

I got my information from one of the kids working the chains. One of the DB's anf the kid with the tatoos and some linemen played V, according to this kid.

Jets, keep focused. A few weeks ago Stone's Freshman and about 6 sophmores went and played York's JV. That was the biggest JV team I've seen. I would bet they where playing a few Varsity boys that night, I don't have a problem with that. The first half we were in the game, I think at half time it was 16 to 8. The point I am trying to make is that they are not that good! You guy's know how good our Frsh/JV are, so go up there and kick some mule!! Come home with a win! Go Jets!!

We will be taking orders Friday night for pictures of the game. We will be selling a game cd disc for $12.00, add $3.00 for shipping. The cd disc will have 200-400 pictures. I am not a pro, but some of the photos are pretty good, check us out on coacht. You will also be able to order a disc of any game Stone has every played, all 16 games. Freshman/JV are available as well. If Bledsoe fans like we can take orders and mail. I can zero in on your player so you can have that special shot. All proceeds go to fund Panther Football.

Warning!! Warning!! All Cumberland Co. folks living on 127 South, Lock up all farm animals, park all cars in your garage or in the backyard and remove all mail boxes!! The goat ranchers from Bledsoe are coming out of the valley to beat up on the Stone cupcakes Friday night at SMHS. Bledsow should just give the starters a rest on friday and let the jv spread the icing all over the field. I mean really, look Stone has played no team of any substance. They did beat the Jets, but they are in a rebuilding stage. Bledsow should have the mercy rule up and running by the middle of the 1st quarter so make sure your freshman travel, they should get a lot of play time.
