The sooner the better. We can't wait till March for a new head coach. I am not going to try for the head coaching job, unless approached about it. I just want to be an assistant. The kids need to know NOW who will be in charge. Also the longer we wait, if WGHS decides to hire an outside person, the coaches that are available will quickly disappear. Greenlee does have a good relationship with the students. COACH

Ponder This Coach Greenlee, Drew Petite @ Mo'town East, Coach Andy Williams, Coach Thompson and myself have been mentioned as the current the current front runners. I would take it if offerred, but I don't know if the powers that be would give it to me. I have some great ideas about the program. Greenlee would be great because he has a good relationship with every body (parents, kids, teachers) at WGHS. I want to coordinate, I love all that comes along with being a coordinator, and I love my defensive system, it just needs some intense practice and repetetion for it to be successful. I also have my offense ready to go as well. I do believe that this needs to settled ASAP. We cannnot wait two-three months on a new head coach. Go BUFFs

It will take proper motivation, and commitment for the players to have the desire to be competetive. I'm concerned about who will take over program and the new direction for the team. I have a definite vision of were we need to be, what needs to happen. We can be compete in this region and classification. I have a lot of confidence in the kids here at this school. My confidende comes from watching the other sports here at WGHS, and I see great spirit in the kids here. Lets do it and do it right. COACH

I've heard as early as 2009 if the money comes together soon enough. The big question is where do they play? The dome will be gone soon. I'm glad to, because playing in it stunk, and watching the game in there too stunk too. ETSU needs football, because the only other interesting sports there is basketball, and homecomming is horrible without it. COACH

and another thing.... We need to set goals for the season, and they need to be posted so that every player knows what is expected every play, every day, and every game. You don't become successful in something by just "winging it"!!!!! COACH

Ponder this, Things are going to have to change in order for West Greene to win. In no particular order here we go. 1. Offseason weight lifting & conditioning. We need to put together a weight room program that makes sense, and pushes the players. 2. We need to get more kids out their playing. There are many athletes in the school that can play football we just need to get them out on the field. 3. Summer conditioning....Summer conditioning....Summer conditioning.... 4. Two a day summer football camp..... now what this means is we go off away from parents, girlfriends, cell phones, x-box, play stations etc. etc. Usually we find a place that specializes in football camp, along with other teams doing the same thing. Football becomes the only focus for this camp. It needs to tough, hot, and a place to build teamwork, friendship, and a GRAND VISION. 5. Practice has to be more structured. We have to, " practice with purpose" instead of practicing for practice sake. 6. WE NEED MORE COACHES.... WE NEED MORE COACHES.... WE NEED MORE COACHES.... WE NEED MORE COACHES. We have three coaches. How can we compete when other teams have 6-8 coaches on the sideline. I'm willing to split up my supplement for this one. 7. We need less critical parents (delayofgame). Who will support us a little bit more. 8. We need to schedule some non-conference winnable games. 9. J-V games would help Thats all I have right now COACH

With all of those athletes, I think you guys should skip pre-game warmup; in fact you should just skip playing us, and go play Alcoa, or Goodpasture tonight. Heck I think Morristown West would be a great game for you boys at SGHS, I'm sure Knox Carter would love to schedule you in. With the great athletes you have over there; I'm convinced you guys could skip 2A football and go straight to 4A and beat everybody. I mean it sure is unfair for you boys to play us poor 2A schools. GO BUFFALOES!!

WG has practiced all week. SG practiced 1/2 on monday, took Tuesday off. Primed for an upset when you overlook ANY team. Go Buffs

Everyone on the field at wghs know who I am. Here are the facts, we have a young team, and we are tryng to put things to together. The coaching staff has big plans for the off season. Things will change for the better. I guarnatee it. We have to focus on South Greene, & CG, these next two weeks. Please no more negative post concerning WGHS. REDROCK I appreciate your passion, and we need more positive influences on the field. About coaching changes, I don't plan on going anywhere. We need to keep on striving for a win, and work on getting better. We are all fustrated, but we can't let everything that has happened get to us. Lets play our hearts out, and strive for that big W. First off I'm a member of the West Greene Coaching staff. Let me explain a few things to you delayofgame, we have too many coaches in the stands, on the track, and teachers in the school who think they are football coaches. The funniest of all are the people who don't coach anything, but are experts on sports management. What people like you delayofgame don't realize is when you are at home watching Nascar on sunday, the coaches are watching film for 4 hours, then we work into the night putting together a gameplan. In addition we don't bring home millions to do what we do, try $120 a month. We also recieve no extra pay for JV games, another 2-3 hours added on to our work week!!!! We are a young team, and working our rear ends off, working for a victory, and for the future. This week we have been preparing heavily for NG, and we have a great gameplan. I just wonder if we do put 28 on the scoreboard and bring home a win, will you be on here apologizing to the entire WG coaching staff INCLUDING Coach Carter. Now if you want to continue your 2nd guessing of our team, please go find yourself a playbook, a football field, and a pee-wee league team to coach, otherwise keep your mouth shut.
