  1. Scale 1-10 ten is the best chance of a win. Fairley 9. Melrose 7 only because it's at Melrose. Question will Teague be playing in the secondary? If I had to pick a weakness for Henry I would pick the secondary. How have they with stood a good QB and receivers? East I have no idea haven't seen them play.
  2. Offensively they don't run the ball very well. They tip the toss with the tail back in his depth. Be ready to play pass defense because they throw the ball very well. QB is extremely good maybe the best pure passer I've seen this year. Defense was good against Brighton but your not Brighton and I don't think they can stop your offense. If you can't contain their passing game it might end up in a shoot out. I saw Fairley on film I wasn't that impressed what about East they put up some big yards on Hardin. I'm done with our game. Now I'm just a fan of the playoffs.
  3. Take a look at the tape. The starters were still in the game until five min left in the fourth. that's a fact. They keeped throwing deep when you didn't have to that's a fact. I said earlier we've put big numbers on people but again the starters would be out early. Like you and anyone else I expect the second and third string to play hard and score if they can. I have no problem with that. You bring up Northside, perfect example of the starters being pulled after the first series in the second half and and every player played. In that game there were 3 touchdowns from the defense. I never say don't play hard but I find it interesting that a game you had in hand in the 3rd you felt a need to keep throwing deep with your first string and as far as I can tell we were the only ones you did that to. It's over Henry County is the last region 7 standing after watching Melrose last night I don't think you'll have any problems unless it's East. I haven't seen them play so I can't say about them.
  4. Kingsbury did swap with Henry. As to Fairley we gave you tape and have answered every question that's been asked in the past. I'm not saying our help is a difference in your success your a very talented team. I've never made it a big deal you have. As to our region just as I predicted your the only one left and after seeing Melrose tonight I don't think they can beat you. Memphis East I believe will be the team you will have to play.
  5. That's it. That's the kind of comments I expect. The truth if your interested is you screwed yourselves out of that deal. As far as not swapping tape our first year we gave you tape on fairley after we were put out even though you tried to get it from us through a third party. We told you then no problem glad to help but when you have a five touchdown lead and still throwing deep don't expect favors from us. Now I've scored big on other teams but not with my starters late in the game. I believe they stayed in the game until late in the fourth. That's fine I'm not whinning but I'm not going to help some one that does something like that to me. So before you get on your soap box know that there is a reason you didn't get what you wanted and you did it to yourself.
  6. Thank you olddevil. I enjoy talking football and I must admit trading jabs. How will 6A effect Henry County's program next year and will this be Henry's last or at least best chance to win a gold ball? What do you think the future is for Henry County football.
  7. What no insults on our humanity. What's wrong with you! You can't be seen or heard in a public forum asking a polite question to the ungentlemenly coach at Munford. But to answer your question their defense is good but I don't know if they can stop you. Hunter is very good but I'm not sure he'll be enough.
  8. Coach Melrose gave us our passes. But thank you for the idea of buying a ticket.
  9. Your right. But this is the first time we've sat at home round one. What about you coach? When was the last time you made the playoffs?
  10. Just my two cents but I think against a good passing team they are suspect. Are they playing the QB tonight?
  11. All of region 7 goes down except for Henry County. I'll be real interested in how the team and coaches react and handle a tight situation. This team has competed an unbelievable season with ten running clock games. That's a statement that no one came even close to challenging you so I'm interested in how Henry handles their success. I think that's the key in how far they go. Just my thoughts.
  12. All of region 7 will go down except for Henry County. Question how do you think Henry's kids will react in a tight situation. The reason I asked is they haven't been in one this yesr with ten running clocks. I don't predict Kingsbury winning tonight but I 'm interested to see how you handle Hunter and their QB.
  13. Melrose big over Brighton. Not sure if they will make it a running clock game but look for Melrose big over Brighton. Brighton has some holes on defense a good offense can exploit. Look for all of region 7 to go down except for Henry.
  14. How did we get dragged into this. Funny! Interested in seeing how Henry County stacks up with region 8.
  15. I'm so glad you are here to point that out to us. I don't think that I've ever heard that before. You must live in Munford for your knowledge of our team and the insight of this years problems are unbelievable. I bow at your enlightenment. It's a shame that with the earned success and respect that Henry County has that idiots like you continue to search for a reason why you lost a game two years ago. But hey don't let me or facts get in the way of your point. Continue to explain why Munford is down this year. For you are so wise. I hope your not paying for that Rhodes education but if you are check about getting your money back. Your being cheated.
  16. A vote for me is a vote for peace and goodwill to all. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  17. All right I've come out of my cougar cave and will speak on a few topics. Henry county is if not the best team in the state they are certainly the second best. That being said Munford will go out and play hard and do their best. The Munford coaches catch a lot of grief about not swapping film on this site but the truth is they've given Henry more film then they have any other team in the region and will continue to do so. My Brighton pick was based on how Brighton played Munford and how I expected Henry to play. It wasn't a knock to Brighton but a realistic prediction on how I felt the outcome would be. I think Munford is getting young people ready to play for the future. For those that think the demise of Munford has begun it hasn't. When Randall first came to Munford he had to change a mind set of losing. He did this by hard work and lost a great number of 10th graders. Those 10th graders are now seniors and they are few in numbers. If you know high school football most but not all successful teams are senior loaded. The last two Munford teams had a strong senior class and that with hard work contributed to their success. Now I know that some of you out there are gonna hollar what about the first year and the kids that moved in. I will say this and then drop the topic for it has been two years. Munford has and will always play by the rules. If a kid wants to attend and play football at Munford high school he will enroll and be within the rules set forth by tipton county board of education and the tssaa. There really isn't any more to be said on the topic or as Forrest Gump says "That's all I got to say bout that". I know the coaches have deep respect for coach Gaddis and his staff and all they have achieved. I don't care what kind of talent you've got it's tough to win week after week without playing down to a weaker team or having a let down. They have done an out standing job. Why is Munford down this year besides having few seniors? Some idiots want to take shots at coach Randall because they don't know any better. I've even heard it in the stands on friday nights. I've not made any comments for I don't want it to be misread as an excuse but I will relate facts as they are. Brighton lost their starting QB we're down to our third. First ACL in the spring and the second a broken thumb. Starting FB moved to California with family. Starting TB moved to Knoxville after his Grandmother died and is doing wonderful at Knoxville Farragot. I want go into all the injuries player by player but because we have so many that go both ways one down is really two. Out of 22 starting positions on offense and defense we've lost 17. It's hard for any team to be that deep and we are definately not. Munford will not make excuses but they will go out each and every friday night and play hard for today and continue to build for the future. That is our goal to ourselves. We have looked good at times and bad at times but our future will be bright. By the way I think you'll get Kingsbury in the first round with Gabriel Hunter and yes he is that good. Good luck with your season and have a safe trip to Munford. By the way bring all of Paris we want the gate.
  18. If you'll go back and read my post I said that if you took them lightly or overlooked them they would beat you. Also if you reviewed my post you would see that friday night I went back and changed my prediction.
  19. Your kind with your pick of the Munford and Liberty game. I hope we get 3 touchdowns and can hold them to 19 points. What classification will JCM drop to? I agree with an earlier post about JCM getting better. How are they holding up and what is their record?
  20. Be clear Henry blowout! Running clock. No slight to Brighton just I think Henry is having one of those special seasons.
  21. Coach Gaddis has the ball rolling. Energy is high young people want to play football. With the numbers you'll find the players. You want have a Teague and Allen every year but you'll have good football teams. Combine that with good coaching and I expect the Big Red to roll for a long time. They might not be at the level they are right now but they're going to compete at a high level for a long time. Success breeds success.
  22. In regards to Brighton's QB I hope he has a speedy recovery. No coach, player or fan wishes harm to a player and if an injury occurs I believe everyone feels for that player and hope he's ok. We have had our fill of injuries and I know how it can affect a team and a season. It is my understanding that the young man has a bright future ahead of him in football at the next level and we at Munford only hope for the best for him.
  23. With the new region changes Brighton, Munford, Jackson Northside, Dyer County, and Hardin County may be the new region 7 5a with a total of 6 classifications. Henry County may have to go east. Jcm goes down to 3a I think. Liberty will stay in 4 a. Most 5a schools now will be 6a next year. My explaination my be off but it's clearer on other threads. I expect Henry to be tough for years to come.
  24. I will say that Brighton has done a good job this year obviously and I think they will win many games. Just not Henry. You can Bash all you want. I think both programs will be just fine and compete at the top of the new region year in and year out. Good luck to both teams.
