You have no idea what you are talking about...........in past four games for Covington they have faced three teams that we have already played. They lost to Dyersburg, Obion played them close, and they beat Ripley by two touchdowns. The only one we havent played is Munford.........Bolivar is five and three and will make the playoffs this year......Manassas and Oakhaven are not powerhouse teams and only ppl like you are tryin to say that we count them as one..........WE have blown out all region competition this year except for Dyersburg. Covington has been in close games........they fumble(more than tiki barber two years ago) and their offense hasnt produced. There is all this talk about their amazing defense but Crockett doesnt care what Covingtons defense is about because everyon e was saying the same stuff about Ripleys D and look what happened 35-7. Our offense will not get knocked around.........once again Covington has not faced an offense like crocketts ......i do wish both teams an injury free game..........thus far crockett has stayed away from that injury bug and i hope it continues especially with the playoffs approaching.

True that there hasnt been a west tennessee team win at the blue cross bowl since huningdon.There is no doubt that Middle and East Tennessee teams play a different style of football than west tennessee teams. They are usually much more balanced. I do however think that this year is a bit different. Crockett this year is as balanced as any middle or east tennessee team. Crockett is no longer one deminsional (which has plagued us for years). I think that this year could be it.......the only worry i have is that we havent had to play a close ball game for four full quarters so i dont know how our guys will respond to pressure. I expect the best however with P.A. at the helm. Good luck to everyone the next two weeks ..............Season two is about to begin !!!

Yeah and he has two stud offensive linemen blocking for him. Both of the offensive linemen are being recruited by D-1 schools. I think its more the line than caldwell but he is good ill give him that.

Amen to that cavcav. Johnson left, Johnson right, Perry middle, and Massey as the field general..........great offensive line...........great defensive line..........secondary that forces big turnovers in key situations........crocketts better in every way than last years team. Covington has to stop our run and pass and manage to score with there fumble prone offense that has yet to prove wat they are made of. OUR DEFENSE is not to be over looked...........will someone please give us some respect on our D.

This is the first ive heard of this. I will keep he and his family in my prayers and hope him a speedy and safe recovery.

This game will go to whoever wants it more. Obion needs the victory to stay alive in the playoff race ( they have basically put themselves in a playoff situation with a win or stay home game him here). Dyersburg needs homefield advantage in the playoffs (we all know that this is a big advantage for any team to have in any game especially the playoffs) Im not picking a winner here........all i can do is wish both teams good luck and may the team who wants it more win!

Its a little late to be making changes. What kind of team just stops blocking. Im picking Haywood in this one because i picked them over Obion. I think Haywood is the best single win team in the state lol. They have had many close games i believe that they will pull the upset. Haywood 14 Ripley 7

This is the sexiest game this week by far. Here we have a senario in which if the Cavs win then they clinch the Region 7-3a title. If they lose then it will be a three way tie for first among Dyersburg, Covington, and Crockett. I am a selfish person and i do not like to share with anyone.(Cavs need this win) If indeed the cavs do win then i believe that this would be their biggest win yet. This game would prove to ppl that they can repond to the pressure. This game would move them one step closer to an undefeated season (a feat acheived only once in crockett county history). Covington has always had our number and with a win this would sort of even things up between the two( after last year the crockett/covington game is now an offical rivalry between the two).If Covington wins then this would also give the cavaliers a test as to see if they are able to respond after a loss(something that frightens me is to see how this team will play if they are behind being that we have not yet seen this) Covington hoist one of the best defenses in the state. Crocketts defense is not too shabby(no one sees this because of there overshadowing offense) Covington's offense has yet to keep up with their defense(this may be a big factor in the game friday). Crockett's offense is among the top runners in the state. Another advantage , and perhaps the greatest one, to Covington's advantage is that this game is @ Covington. We all know that a team plays better at home than on the road. Because of the fact that Crockett is good on both sides of the football i must pick them to win this one. Crockett has looked unstoppable and until they are stopped i will continue to pic them. Crockett 21 Covington 14

Southside wins this one in a cake walk but im looking for ole Crazytown to finally make a post season appearance. This boliver team is well improved from last year it seems that coach P is turning this program around..........we'll see. Southside 42,Bolivar 21

This one is a hard one.........i would like to see Dyersburg win. (this would help Crocketts chances in the region) but i know that we shouldnt rely on someone else to get one up on a team..........im just ready for Crockett versus Covington........its gonna be the game of the year and could determine the Region crown depending on the outcome of this game.............so this game has great implications!!!

Obion do not let Haywood's record fool you. Although they have not won a game yet they are still a good team comprised of athletes. Haywood has played three games that they could have easily won. They along with Ripley, Dyer Co., and yourselves will battle it out for ONE playoff position(pending that nothing crazy happens and Dyersburg, Crockett, or Covington go on a horrible skid). All four teams backs are to the wall .......this is gonna be good to see how this one ends........good luck to all and happy bidding on that playoff spot!

Southside is the least of our worries right now. In fact we are not worried at all because as you know the only game that the two teams are gonna have a chance to play each other in is round four......um thats a bit too far down the road for us or southside to look. NO ONE IS WORRIED. As far is Covington.....i believe they are a good team and i believe will be Crocketts biggest challenge yet. But i have been preaching all along that this is a strong region top to bottom. I fear the Haywood game most of all solely because they are yet to win a game. I hope my cavs dont go in there and see this team as a Manassas or an Oakhaven because this team is solid(i believe they will play Obion hard in the upcoming game.......they are still in the regional fight for fourth place and they have there backs to the wall.........this is usallly when "cats" come out swinging for their lives so we will see) I cant wait to see how this folds out.

Frankly i believe that High School players should have enough respect for their programs not to get on here and talk trash.(this is whats done by the players most of the time) This shows a lack of class and takes away dignity and respect from their programs. While i was playing i never once got on coach t ........i never had the urge to talk trash until i was on the football field dishing out pancakes. My coaches strongly urge us not to get on coacht and would sometimes find players who did it anyways and they would get punished. I believe this is entirely fair because a lot of things are said on here that a player doesnt need to hear. Thus far this year i have heard people lashing out at coach Pratt, giving Crockett "too much" hype (which we all know can ruin a teams goals once they start to trust "hype"), and other teams programs being downgraded. Many ppl on here are respectful and others are ignorent in what they say and do. I wish all programs and teams the best of luck with the remainder of the sesaon!

Um Laser Rex.......have you not read the forums.....Crockett fans are not braggin about how bad they beat Dyersburg...........if you would go back and read you will see that it keeps getting thrown up in our faces from Dyersburg and everyone else that we were tired and we were worn down and we werent in control and that we SHOULD have lost...........no one says "oh we beat the heck out of them". Because the score was 21-14 until the crucial interception. Dyersburg had momentum..........go back and read before you make assumptions...........i know that there are some Crockett fans that gloat and whatever but i promise you that the players and especially the coaches werent happy with our second half performance in that game.That game is over and i am tired of everyone sayin that we were worn down and blah blah blah........the game is over we won but it could have easily went the other way.

Oh we'll bring our A+ game against Ripley i assure you. You cant overlook no one in Region 7........which is no doubt the strongest region in west tenn easy. Goodluck with the rest of ur season ...........im sure we'll meet again!

Why must you downgrade another team if your team hasnt even played them yet....i have given Ripley their credit and i wish them the best(just wish my boys better).....but who exactly are you to say that the only reason Ripley is good is because they have a Covington coach? Blah............who has Covington played thus far in the Region? Haywood who hasnt won a game....................Coviington is about to get theirs as they look to finish out the seanson with 5 regional match ups. I believe COVINGTON needs to worry about Obion instead of why Ripley is better this year. Good luck in the next five games because ur gonna need it!!!!

Augielio i do not doubt your sports savviness at all. In fact im pretty sure that it is superior to that of myself and many other ppl on the forums. I do however disagree with the statement that Crockett did not control the game. Isnt it true that when another team has a lead (21 point lead at that) that they are considered to be in the "driver seat"???? I just think that Dyersburg got the momentum in the second half and Crockett lost it and never got it back until Cobb stepped up and took advantage of a bad pass on Dyersburg's behalf. Crocketts production in the second half was not as good as their first half...........football has always been a tale of two halves and P.A. and Crockett pride ourselves of our ability to finish games. I do not think that the cavs were tired ..........momentum was just on the other side. Momentum as you would know is hard to fight against What was Dyersburgs Offensive production in the game?

This game is going to be a good one.......It has big regional implications. I think that both teams are good. Humbolt has made an excellent improvement and Milan...........well they're Milan. If i had to pic a winner i would go with Milan because of there experience in the big games. The game will be close however 21-14

Crockett compared to Dyer County what is that..................ur kiddin me. We beat Dyersburg and all i have heard from Dyersburg fans since then was how Crockett was worn down. How if it wasnt for that pick. How Dyersburg should have won. Well once again guess what ............you lost ..............get over that ...............i will be a man and tell Ripley they did an excellent job if they can beat us, or any other team for that matter. You beat us last year and yes we went on and on about how what if we didnt fumble 3 times and blah blah blah. But guess what we did fumble and you did beat us but you guys are doing the same crap we did about your little interception that you threw at the end of the game............please dont be a hypocrite and criticize Crockett when Dyersburg is doing the same crap!!!!!

Yes Yes how many times do i have to repeat myself. Ripley has not faced an offense like Crockett's. When they did face an offense of the caliber of Crockett's , Ala Dyersburg, they lost and allowed 27 points. True apart from Dyersburg they have held everyone else to just 7.2(or so) ppg, a excellent figure might i add since they are averaging around 42 point a game. But then we ask the question how good are these other teams. Well no one besides Dyersburg has a record above .500. Thus we conclude that Ripley has yet to defeat a team above .500. Crockett on the other hand has went against three teams with a 4-1 record and came out victorious. (All the haters can spout off about how Crockett got lucky in the Dyersburg game, how they were worn out and blah blah blah, how if it werent for the last minute interception and yet more blah blah blah then crockett would not have won.........well guess what they DID win .......they took advantage of a Dyersburg mistake and finished the game off. Good teams take advantage of mistakes just like Dyersburg did to us last year when we fumbled three times.........two on kickoffs. If any of you saw the Mitchell game last year you would know that the cavs are always in good condition and i dont think this years squad is any different. Once again good luck to both teams and pray there are no injuries!!

And offense wins games.........this is a game not a championship!

Man im not taking any shots but um what you said is obvious........if any team goes out there and tries to win then there is a possibility that they might just acheive that goal. But if a team doesnt go out and try then why do they suit up for friday nights man..............no team does this......go out and NOT TRY.

Oh no ............far from push overs............Ripley has a great football squad this year from what i have seen............I for one dont think anyone in region 7 is a pushover i respect everyone in the region. Even the winless Haywood is a great team and can beat anyone if they want it bad enough. I know last year is last year and i agreed with you on that factor. Good luck to all!

I do agree with you TIGERNATION about the fact that last year was last year. I dont think this is the same Ripley team......i know i said some things earlier about the defense deserving no credit but the more i study this defense ........the more i find out more about it the more it has got me thinking. I stand by what i said but i grow to respect the Tigers defense more and more as we approach this friday. In turn with this beinig a different ripley team this is also a different crockett team this team is improved from last years teams in many areas.........key areas.........we are ready for you, ready for covington , and ready for anyone else that stands between us and that goal every program has..........state.
