  1. OK since so many of you have very little faith in the HS coaches which ones do you feel do a good job? I of course feel both Club and School have their place in developing well rounded players and neither is infallable but I do believe some coaches dont get the respect they deserve as well as some getting too much credit. No HS coaches cant get into as much as they would like in a year but some club coaches dont get into as much team unity as they should so it is a trade off. Each has its pluses and minuses thus making what we would hope to be as perfect a player as can be had by the time they are 18. With that said who do you think does a good job all the way around as a HS coach? What are they good at?
  2. Wow what a tough game! Good luck to you both on Saturday - who do you both play?
  3. I so agree papaK. I think next years williamson county teams will have different looks but be as tough as ever. And now off to dream of next season!!!!! Go RHS! Do Charlie proud!!!!!!!!
  4. Congrats to RHS they played their hearts out. I hope they go all the way! Their coach is great and the girls have lots of heart! No CHS and BHS wont advance but Im sure this will push them on to do amazing things next year cause both teams are young and full of promise. CHS over came a lot through their season and should be commended in an awesome run. Go lady Cougars!
  5. As far as CHS being happy with a tie - I dont think so. They are not content with that tie - they played hard but I think FRA did as well. There were mistakes on both sides which resulted in the tie. If you are saying they should be happy cause FRA should have won that is your opinion and I dont happen to share it nor does anyone else at CHS. FRA has a good team and so does CHS but neither side should be happy with a tie.

    D2 State

FRA not Father ryan should be going - they are a STRONG team!
  8. I forwarded your post on to a few coaches I knew I hope that was ok.
  9. Hope so but Monday is a few days away so we will have to see. I think FRA has a strong team and will be taken seriously by the cougars. I just hate monday games - it doesnt give the team time to get pumped up by their peers.
  10. Morgan Murray had 3 assists. 2 were corners and the other was to Kate Minchew for the header.
  11. Last time I checked they have had more than one win.
  12. Jamie Achten and Shelby Johnson
  13. Just a question - how is it that CHS can tie siegel and beat BHS but still they hover around 12? I know it is an opinion line up but considering their recent play I would think you would share the love a little in their direction as opposed to moving BHS further up the line. Just wondering. Both teams have strong schedules and have done markedly well recently - I would just think an open minded person would take those 2 games into more account as well as the recent RHS win CHS aquired last night.
  14. Colleges look at ODP, club, and schools. It is up to the coaches of each to try to show case their players to get them exposed to those colleges that they are interested in. You must as a coach of any team have a good working relationship with those schools and talk up your players. School teams can and do get the attention of colleges so I dont think you ever need to write off the exposure your kids get at the high school level. Especially if your child plays at one of the bigger name schools. So many write off the HS teams as useless in the college selection process but each program needs to be given its due. All have benefits and downfalls but in the end we are trying to get the girls to play at the highest level they desire. It should never have to do with how much or how little they are paid to do their jobs. I know the county high school teams I have had experience with have had lots of contacts about players. So dont discount their years in HS ball. It does pay off to play for your schools. I think all programs are benefitial in aiding the kids to get to the next level if used correctly. Yes there are some coaches who dont work as hard as others to help get scholarships. I feel bad for kids who are in those situations. If you are in that situation - tape your player - make copies - send it to college coaches. OR Talk to your coach and ask them to help you make contact dont sit back and wait on offers or on your coach to know what you want to do.
  15. OH OK sorry then we totallly agree!
  16. I just take "reamed" to mean blow out, killed, slaughtered, etc. not little piddly stuff that is out of the teams control. I realize it might be splitting hairs but I just dont think reamed is the right word. JMHO I personally believe both teams played admirably and the road to state will be a tough one for this district.
  17. Tessa williams and Beth smith of CHS both jump and communicate with their teams. I think that is one place they both excel. I wish all keepers talked as much as Tessa does.
  18. I dont know that reamed would be the word for what happened at state. Penalty kick and offsides call would be more appropriate.
  19. Both teams played hard last night and I know the Cougars are very proud. They have worked ultra hard to come back from injuries and over come lots of nay sayers. GO COUGARS!!!
  20. CHS AAA sorry - it is freshman and nonstarting soph and jr. BHS, RHS, IHS all AAA have them as well dont know about status of ages though.
  21. I dont know if it comes into the equation but Centennial beat Beech this weekend 5-2. Yes CHS has had several injuries and are slowly healing.
  22. Pleasantly I hope! CHS is finding its feet.
  23. I heard they had injuries and one player quit. They are looking into moving some younger players up to fill the spots.
  24. So you dont see Centennial going to the tournament this year? I still believe they will be going. They have a ton of talent which has been hurt but now just about everyone is back.
