We lost to South, fair and square, There is no "well if we had showed up" or "well if this or that would have happened" The better team that night came out with the win. There is no well I still think the Vikings are better, maybe we can prove we are later in the play-offs, but for now, let the facts show the truth. And the "wat if we had a passing game" question is one to seriously be considered. I wouldn't blame this on any one person. The coaches want to throw more, Thomas wants to throw more, but its just not been the game plan. The line blocks for the run, but doesnt quite hold up for the pass. Has anyone watched when Thomas does try to throw the ball, the defense is through his O-line and in his face before he even looks up. #70 from South was on him all night. Its no wander he runs more than he passes, usually trying to get away from people. Let the fact of a let down game pass and move on to next week. Good luck to the rebels, but Lets go Vikes!!!

THS confidence is way up after the DB game!!! Coach Stubbs was thrilled with the effort the kids gave him. He said it was probably the best quarter of football he has seen since at THS (yup that means 2004 too!) After the SHHS game he was discouraged with his players because of the poor effort they gave, even after a loss to DB he was probably happier with the kids than he has yet this year! If THS can put together that 1 quarter into 4 then they may be a team to be reconned with come playoffs! Also why is all this talk about Curt Phillips? THS has an entire offensive back-field instead of 1 person. That being Thomas, Strickland, Howard, and Baker. They are going to be the names called out most often this Friday, lets get some talk on them.

Thomas is fine... Just a bloody nose and busted lip. Real tuff kid, went into game late with someone elses helmet (his broke) and cotton sticks in his nose. He is a competitor and I don't think he wanted anyone else on that field to finish the game. (Especially after the fumble) Should be a good match-up between 2 good QB's friday in the Castle! Not sure how good Curt can look against that Viking D, they are pretty awesome! THS 35 SSHS 7

TribeAllDaWay and maroonandgray I am a THS fan and still agree with both of you totally! DB played hard and they forced all turnovers but 2. The fumbled punt and when the back up QB was in because Thomas was bleeding really bad. Other than that the turnovers were caused by offensive mistakes and DB's good athletes. The game is over, DB beat THS 41-7 the score "should" have been closer, but DB is still the better football team. Everyone on both sides of the ball were very sportsman like. I dont think that Thomas ever had to lift himself off the ground it was always DB helping him up. DB is a good team and should go far in their playoffs, as should THS!!!

Last year is over and done with. Daniel Booher, a good QB. Ryan Shaw and Carelton Bell, both good backs. Buts they are gone and let the new boys take their reigns. I beleive Danny Thomas won the farthest throw in the Jamboree and I have seen him in practice and games and he can throw well. Also THS backs run very hard and get the job done. Why throw when you can control all aspects of the game by running? Thomas has converted many 3rd and longs with his arm and his feet. Howard and Baker have the agility to make you miss then burn you. Strickland is just a powerhouse looking to run you over. WHy dont you haters quit whining about the offense being one dimensional and understand Stubb's game plan a little better? THS 37 SSHS 7

Waco, you are about the biggest hypocrit I have seen in these boards. On the DB-THS thread all you did was whine about other schools voicing their opinions, so why dont you take your own advice and get out of this thread! Sorry, but the DB-THS game was alot closer than the score did indicate, yea its easy for you to say well it was 41-7 but thats no indication of the game.

Give both teams credit! Both played hard and did their best(with some costly turnovers) I believe Throp and Burton both played hard throughout the entire game. As did Thomas and his offense. Just give the defenses credit, both plaed a heck of a game! Good luck to both teams throughout their seasons! Both are good teams, perfect showing of a good 5A and a good 4A, there is a reason for dividing them up!!!

THS deffinately comes out with the win in this one! THS takes back the MLC title that should have never been given up in tha first place. South could take a month to prepare for THS and still wouldnt win. THS 35 SSHS 7
