Im not sure that guy is talking about the Overton BOBCATS. I will take Lipscomb,they have had good luck with Bobcats.

I BELIEVE! Murphy Fair has the Bobcats up to no. 4 in 4A Should be a good game. If Giles dont win the district something is wrong.Dont get caught up in the rankings. Shelbyville is a team that could win this game. Barring an upset down the road,this could be the last test for GC. Whoops........ did I say that? Yep. Marshall Co. seems to be in the tank.Spring Hill already taken care of. None of the smaller schools can compete with GC unless Hickman is better than I think. Wait a minute...... Page...........this will be an interesting game.Lots of history the last few years. This weeks game....22-24...winner TBD.

Regardless of what class is taught or how good the teacher is,for a program that puts football and winning on a high priority the teacher must be a decent teacher and a really good football coach,end of story,like it or not thats the truth.

Saves on travel? Not likely.I dont think the small schools will do well against the bigger ones week in and week out. Not taking away from them but like I said ,the playoff teams will be better for playing the big teams and the big teams will not get the same preparation as they did in the past playing more teams more with more numbers . when LC plays a premier team in the playoffs they will have allready seen teams of this caliber in the regular season. When Giles meets a powerhouse in the playoffs,will they be as ready?No dissrespect to anyone but when you swap Lipscomb,creekwood,and Cheatham for smaller schools with lower numbers you are loseing something.

TSSAA should go into politics,maybe run for president. I dont like this system,the old system WAS fine.the small schools will have a hard road in the regular season but they may be better for it if they make the playoffs.On the other hand schools like Giles and Marshall may have a softer season,but come playoff time will they suffer from not playing the tougher teams as in the past? Who does Giles and Marshall play out of district?

Almost time for kick off, here is my take on it............Bulldog,as much as I hate to admit it,we are a lot alike,5AAA. David Lipscomb will win this game and the next one too.Giles County made maybe two mistakes and it beat them.If Mitchell even thinks about making one......well.....you know what happens. DL 28 Mitchell 10 ALSO............... to bomb/haskell/or whoever else you are...........while you sometimes have good facts.............you are really anoining and just keep the stupidity going on here..just dont reply to the stupid post and they will go away.I'm sure you will have a stupid remark for this so........whoops gotta go... game time.

so i heard over the weekend that the players for giles were: wallace-offensive mvp t. houston- co runningback mvp with justin braden josh smith- athlete mvp and the others named were: motts, strickland, bass, newton, deinye, cobb, cory houston. this is what i heard from a pretty reliable source but dont blame me if a few names are wrong. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

I am not a player but a big fan,you know me but have not put it together yet.When the hurt wears off we can look back at what these kids have done and be happy,but for now it really stinks. A lot of kids had great performances.Josh Smith had a heck of a game and shut Rogers down,not a small task.Bo Wallace did his usuall thing as well as T.Houston,I expected nothing less.Hunter Newton made some big catches at some very critical times,and what about the o-line?The def. played maybe their best game of the year.They left it all on the field and thats all you can ask. To the GC seniors...........Thanks for a great year.You will be remembered. To the rest.............lets go to work,season will be here before you know it.

I'm not starting anything,Public vs private is something that I have no controll over so my point is this...... it may or may not be fair,or right,or what ever else, I can only play the hand thats dealt me and nothing I say or think will change this. You are a very nice lady and yes I know you,but I think you are a little unsure of my ID. But I think you are close. As for the refs.,I think they did a pretty good job,I did not see everything so I cant really complain.Unlike the previous meeting when it was just too obvious. I am still grief stricken and sick at my stomach over this loss and trying not to speak with only emotions.I have no words that can say how proud I am of the entire Bobcat program. they are an elite team and came up short in the AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game against DL.Congrats to them.I will say nothing negative about them.but I will give you [just for the fun of it]some kindling for the fire.Was Vandy1 a player,a coach,or a ref.since he was on the feild? yall are all getting way off topic. lets talk about the game. this is one of the greatest games in giles county and more than likely lipscomb history. lets not bring it down by this public-private talk....which i cant stand. i dont really mind playing them, it just presents an even better challenge. and with great challenges come great rewards.

All that tells me is they got one 44 yard pass on GC, heck....who hasnt? One reason they only had the ball a small amount of time is Rogers three long runs,I believe all were tds. I never said we stopped them,You said they passed [or could have] all over us and that was not the case!! DL did not have sucsess stopping GC,so what does that tell you?GC will need to run the ball to beat DL. Say it again if you want,but the GC passing game didnt lose that game,nor did the DL passing game beat them.The speed of Rogers was the difference. This is a new game,we'll see soon enough what adjustments are made.
