GP WINS End of Story GP 21 Milan 7

Well this season did not got the way we planned as Stangs fans! Lot of injuries, but the team never really jelled, and never really played team ball! Lack of overall team speed really showed as the season went on! Just dont know how to apprecitate speed until you dont have it! Humboldt really exploited it! 5 & 5 not a winning season and not a losing season. Mediocre!!! Jrs and Sophomores hit the weight room early and stay hungry from Jan to Aug or this could be you next year. Dont believe the press clippings about how good you are, try to get better every day during the off season! Just to bring this season in to perspective; 5 losses equals the total the Stangs lost in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 season combined! First time in 14 years not to make the playoffs! Time to move on! This program needs a real evaluation of where we are, not hype! GO STANGS IN 07

Who wins this one? STANGS 21 USJ 17

Does anybody know how all the tie breakers work?? I know head to head is good for a two way tie, but what about a three way tie. Heres why, I see the region looking like this after week 10. Milan (5-2) if Milan wins out (toughest schedule with Trenton & Westview left) Westview (5-2) if Westview beats Humboldt and loses to Milan Trenton (4-3) if Trenton loses to Milan and beats GC Huntingdon (4-3) if H-town splits their last two against USJ & Humboldt Humboldt (4-3) if Humboldt loses to Westview and H-town Who gets the 3rd and 4th spot based on the proposed 3-way tie??????? Dont have a clue, but is it overall record, points scored, or what? I think this could really be the way it ends up thoughts, disagreements, comments and just plain ole smart remarks welcome

Westview wins this one putting them in charge of the region with a showdown with Milan week 10. This will also force Humboldt into a must win situation at H-town in week 10 to make the playoffs.

Milan wins but it will be close!

Stangfan, I totally agree...it is plain tacky and wrong to try and blame this season on the Off Coordinator..That logic dont fit since the offense and defense seem to do alright last year. Coaches coach...players play! People just need to admit we are not as good as weve been in the recent past and quit making excuses. Without the injuries we are probably better than 3-4....but we are not dominant in any category that I see against solid competition. We need to get off the coaches and this team needs to take care of business on the field.

dont want to put any added pressure on this coaching staff or team, but the PLAYOFFS start this Fri Nite in Huntingdon. Better run the table if this team wants to be playin in November GO STANGS!

I think the 7-2A playoff picture will shake out like this? 1st Milan 2nd Trenton 3rd Westview 4th Humbodlt or Huntingdon, Last game of the regular season; winner keeps playin and loser goes home

You must have me mixed up with someone else (go backand look at my post)... I will agree with you on all accounts but I would add the OL and DL + the Linebackers to the list of underachievers so far. Our special teams may be the best part of the team so far. Room for plenty of blame to go around. But you know what can make all the bad feelings go away...just win Fri nite and we will be talking about how good we can be instead of how bad weve been. GO STANGS

I heard the rumor the other day about us going down to 1A. I got mixed emotions about it. We obviously will be a powerhouse most every year in 1A but I think it will hurt the program in a couple of ways. First of all, no matter how much you try to maintain you will eventually play down to the competition...and the following will suffer. I mean people will not go see the Stangs hang 50 points on Gleason or Greenfield. Just dont have the same meaning as playing Milan or Martin Westview. On the positive side though it will probably mean a few more gold balls in the trophy case. What yall think...is 1A good or bad for H-town?

Like I said, let me know when they become a powerhouse in 4A. PA Pratt turned Crockett Co. around....but Hickman Co. dont produce the athletes year in and year out that Crockett Co. does.

First of all Shelby County is not a good comparison, those kids have to borrow a field to play their home games on and I know they dont have the community support our kids do. Bad choice to compare! Secondly, you kind of proved my point, coaches dont block and tackle or catch passes, so regardless of your game plan...the kids have to execute it. I guess the Stangs never were any good until 1996..thats interesting..wonder what the 66 and 75 seniors would think about that? Wonder how far they would have went in the current playoff system.... Finally, when Hickman Co. becomes a powerhouse in 4A let me know!!

I think the rebs wins out the regular season if they play ball. Got good balanced attack and decent line play on both offense and defense. Could be the year the Rebs make some noise in the post season. Got to watch out for those Fayette Academy Boys! Beside them, I think yall got a good shot at the boro this year. Dont get over confident, just stay hungry every Fri nite.
