  1. Another Northeastern fan here... Chaisson is likely going to run the point for us next year, so we're hoping he can come in and make an impact. We had a "point guard by committee" this year - with none of the guys playing the point really being a true point guard. In the CAA, having a 6'4 1/2" point guard could present some good matchup problems. We run the flex offense at NU, so there's not a ton of fast break, push the ball up court quickly in our gameplan, but we're hoping that Chaisson can come in and provide us with some leadership at the point. We lose 3 seniors who scored a bunch for us this year, but we're likely going to have the Rookie of the Year in Matt Janning, and we have 2 transfers sitting out, so it will be a brand new team for us next season. Everything we've heard about Chaisson has been positive: good kid, good student, good teammate, comes from a good family - just the things we're trying to build upon here at Northeastern. The good thing for Oakland fans is that all of our home games, and many of our road games (probably all conference games next year) are streamed on the web. We have our own fan website.. www.dieharddogs.com It's a pay per use site, but if you guys want to poke around on a 30 day free trial, I believe the site still offers a trial period. We're excited to have Chaission come to Boston, and I'm sure you'll see the Huskies play MTSU at some point while he's in uniform for us.
  2. As a Northeastern Alumni, I almost did too. Does anyone have his stats so far? How is Oakland doing? I saw a picture of Chiasson in the local paper on line, but I'd love if someone could keep me abreast of his progress this season. We are REALLY looking forward to having him in Boston.
  3. As an alumni of Northeastern, I can say it is a good school Chaisson Allen chose. We lost our starting point guard from last year (he's now in training camp with the Dallas Mavericks), and our best shot blocker and head coach bailed on us to go to Duquesne (yes, one of the kids that was shot was a former Northeastern player), so we're in a rebuilding mode and one of the things we're going to need is a point/2 guard. Anyone care to give me the lowdown on Mr. Allen - what's his play like, what are his strengths/weaknesses? He's listed in various places as anywhere between 6'2 and 6'4 and weighing between 155 and 175 lbs. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.
