Well Kevin38 i understand what you are saying but when you loose coaching personnel and those experienced players you have to re-format the offense to make it work. Im a SHS Alumni and i played under Coach Offutt when he was the assistant coach...i do try to stay up on the facts by attending almost every game and keeping in touch with the coach.

This year will be a growing experience with the team bc they did lose talented players...but regardless of their lost Springfield always has talent on the field and thats not an understatement. The work effort and dedication is always required by coach Offutt so that wont be a problem. They have some good running backs this year and a young line and changing the offense will have alot of teams surprised. They will compete again for the region!

From watching both teams and being familiar with both i really believe if the Jackets come out and play their football from opening kickoff to the end they are a team to beat in 4A. With the talent and speed they have they should be able to stop Clarksville especially on dry ground. Even if its raining the field wont be as bad as Clarksville ragedy field. The stadium will be packed to the limit...and seeing springfield play im shocked every week. Most of the boys grew up around me and seeing my cousin Utley and Bey perform like they do i still have trouble believing it. At the end of friday's night game the Jackets will be waiting on either Hillsboro or Mt. Juliet. Springfield by 14............ True Yellow Jacket Alumni 02'

Springfield should easily control the field....with the work of lowering penalties and turnovers. Springfield should win by 21. I am a alumni of springfield ("02) seeing the program get back on track is great. Seeing my cousin(Utley)and friends (Bey, Chatman, Hendrix and the rest of the team play every week is a treat. You will always see special things happen on the field. And yes people do know when you play Springfield that hard hitting is always involved...it has always been like that!

i guess everyone is now taking a back seat to their opinions and assumptions. As they can see that SPRINGFIELD is in control of their region and their destiny. After each week fans see that this team is really showing people that they cant be played with. Watch out for them in the playoffs.
