SC's starting 11 include 4 freshmen and 4 sophomores. Plus, I heard that the middle school is sending some more studs up here next year. The future is extraordinarily bright for the girls and boys soccer teams at Station Camp.

i think that it is a combination of all things mentioned here. 1. stepping up to 4a was huge. playing better teams with better athletes. 2. the talent pool is depleted (there haven't been any gerald turner's, chase brooks, matt taylor's, or tim hodges coming through the program the last few years). 3. and as much as i hate to say it, because i really like bever and curry, it appears to me that the coaching staff haven't transformed the boys into better players. btw, i hear they are going to name the field after edgar johnson tonight. imo, way overdue.

How about some props for Brenda Gutman. She man-marked Kat Nigro (who is definitely the real deal) all game long and kept her to one shot and no goals. Maybe some college recruiters will notice what an amazing defender Brenda is.

Station Camp is only losing its GK. Everyone else returns for another run to state.

J. Landham of Station Camp is going to Union University. Elias Groft of Portland is going to University of Memphis.

i do not know anything about the inside machinations of the montgomery co. school system. all i know is that coach donahue was a class act on the field. we played them up there in regions last season in my second year as a coach and he and i talked for about 30 minutes before the game and several minutes after the game. he is a true gentleman and treated me like a peer, even though i have 21 career victories and he has 300+.

Station Camp will be hosting The Bison Cup tournament next week featuring 4 really good teams. Hume-Fogg was a state finalist last season, Station Camp and Livingston Academy both made it to substate, and Wilson Central made it to regionals. Below is the schedule for the tournament. WC 24 Lavergne 14. Lavergne had a 14 - 7 lead at halftime and were controlling the game. But in the second half they seemed to run out of steam and WC put up 17 points in the half. It was a very good game.

hey, this is wilson central's coach, i freely admit that i have an ego, so i like to check this out and see what everyone thinks of us. i would like to say a huge thank you to glencliff20/yellowcardfever for showing a lot of class in his posts. you do yourself, your family, and your school proud. of all the teams that we have beaten this year, glencliff definitely showed the most class. everyone else looked for excuses. win or lose, i will always schedule glencliff. i am very proud of my boys. we have played hard in every game, and we have showed class in every game. and if or when we lose, we will lose with dignity as well. there is an old saying in football that easily translates to soccer...11 guys going in the same direction, cannot be stopped.
