  1. The Livingston vs. Merrol Hyde game was pretty intense. Both teams gave it everything they had and I have all the respect in the world for the Merrol Hyde team. They played harder than any team we've played all season.
  2. Personally, I think Merrol Hyde is having a good year and should be congratulated for that. Although Livingston has fallen short the past two years in the region semis, I feel that they have the talent, heart, and team chemistry to not only advance to the region finals, but possibly even give Stationcamp a run for their money (assuming Stationcamp makes it past Dekalb of course). The Stationcamp vs. LA matchup was very competitive during the season with both teams being fairly evenly matched. It should make for an interesting rematch if each of the teams advance. Both of these teams have had great seasons and I feel that both have the potential to make sectionals very interesting. My prediction: LA 2 MH 0 Stationcamp 3 Dekalb 0
  3. District finals: Livingston Academy 3 Dekalb County 0 and Stationcamp 2 Merrol Hyde 0 So it will be Dekalb at Stationcamp and Merrol Hyde at LA. Any predictions on region semis and finals?
  4. The White House vs. Stationcamp game should be interesting. I'm pulling for White House, but I see a 3-1 Stationcamp win.
  5. Good job, yet I don't see how a winless Portland team is ranked ahead of 5 teams? Is this a mistake or are they just playing very well against those teams?
  6. That was in no way a shot at Region 5. I'm not saying they aren't amazing or that they can't compete with Chattanooga teams. I'm only saying Region 4 has a better chance against them, considering they haven't beaten any of the Chattanooga teams yet (if I'm not mistaken). No offense to anyone, but Region 4 simply has been able to get by the dominant middle TN teams on occasion in the past, but not the new region.
  7. Stationcamp does have a lot of talent ontheir team this year, but I believe it will take more than that for ANY team from region 4 (Stationcamp, White House, Portland, Livingston Academy, etc.) to advance past sectionals. These teams would have to play their hearts out like they do in their region/district rivalries to even have a chance. They would've had a better chance against the previous region before they got switched (FRA, CPA region), but now they have no choice but to play one of the top teams in the state. It will certainly be one of, if not the most difficult road to A/AA state tournament this year. So good luck. Poor region 4. On a side note, if Bisonsoccer6 is #6 from Stationcamp, congratulations on you guys' win over LA. That was a pretty sweet game.
  8. Hume Fogg and Wilson Central tied 1-1 on Thursday, but I don't know many details of that game. Stationcamp beat Livingston Academy 2-1 on Friday. It seemed like LA came out very flat and got scored on twice in the first 10 or 15 minutes before settling down. LA scored in the second half as the game was becoming very intense and rough. There were questionable calls on both sides of the field including countless wrong direction throw-ins (which I found very funny personally) and a missed advantage on a call stopping an LA breakaway in front of the goal. Hats off to both teams for giving it everything they had in this region rivalry. It certainly foreshadowed an interesting region tournament. After playing against Stationcamp, I'd like to congratulate their entire team on their effort, especially #6, who had excellent ball control and was very talented, and the goalie, who was very fast and aggressive. Both of these players had excellent games. I'm disappointed that the other teams could not compete against each other, because I feel that the remainder of the games would have been very competitive and intense as well. Congrats to all teams though and good luck throughout the season.
  9. This should be a very close game. I'm picking Hume Fogg though. Maybe 3-2. I'm exciting to see how it turns out.
  10. Are you saying compared to the other sports from their school? Haha it does seem their programs aren't getting it done this year (other than boys basketball). Either way, its way too early to be building any team up this much. As was said before, we'll see how the season plays out and it should be a very interesting tournament for Region 4 this year.
  11. I agree. They may be doing well in some situations, but all that matters is if a team can win a big game when it matters. And we'll get a chance to see what not only LA, but also Stationcamp, Hume Fogg and Wilson Central can do this weekend. All of these games should be great hard-fought matchups.
  12. This tournament should certainly be a hard fought one. The way I see it, Hume Fogg is obviously the favorite, while LA is probably the underdog not being favored in any matchup. Any win would be well-deserved. It should be a real challenge for all teams. Good luck to them.
  13. The Bison Cup is next Friday and Saturday
  14. Congrats to the LA boys. They really showed up tonight. All I know is the student section was the wildest I've ever seen. The Hogeye Hellraisers were loud, painted, and crazy baby. The storming the court was insane. Look out state tournament.
  15. Yeah the Bison Cup should be a real challenge and certainly a very exciting tournament. Several good teams will be there. It will be interesting to see who shows up big and pulls out some wins.
