  1. Their middle school team plays Science Hill, John Sevier, Ross Robinson, Vance, Colonial Heights, Church Hill and TA Dugger in conference. So they are basically playing Johnson City's best, Kingsport's best, Bristol's best and so on in Middle School. It isn't impossible for them to be competitive, but they are playing teams they probably shouldn't be playing right now.
  2. South is going to and already has beat a lot of people that bad. South is far and away the best in the conference and might be the best in the area. Getting blown out by them is nothing to hang your head about. Actually Tennessee High played pretty well tonight. They didn't have any costly turnovers, but the mistakes they made were some costly (and obvious) holding calls that came at bad times. I still don't see them finishing any lower than 3rd in the conference and Betsy is the only team that can dethrone them. North is playing well now, but haven't got into the hard part of their schedule yet.
  3. Hopefully Unicoi gained some respect tonight. They are a lot better than their record states.
  4. TN High is still the 2nd best team in the conference and will finish there. They ran into a very underrated team tonight and took their best shot. The Vikings just had a little too much in the end. I would be surprised if Tennessee High loses to anyone in the conference besides South.
  5. If they had got the call right to begin with, then there would have been no need for any bogus personal foul penalties. Giving Unicoi the ball and then penalizing half a field was actually the best thing they could have done for Hampton. The player was CLEARLY down and they still tried to give the ball to Hampton. Hampton clearly had the inferior team, but they played very hard and deserve credit for the win. They didn't make a whole lot of mistakes, where the Blue Devils made too many to win. Hampton has one or two play makers and that can carry them in their conference. It was a great game and while the Bulldogs are a bit down from past years, they are playing about as well as they can.
  6. Well almost I don't think anyone will disagree. But some people are too ignorant to know that South really didn't play bad at all in that first half and it should have been a 7 point game. It wasn't like South completely overlooked UC and wasn't ready to play like in the past. They were ready to play and in the first half it was a pretty even ball game.
  7. Well I guess we know who wasn't at the game.
  8. Was far from over in the 1st though. If there hadn't been penalties on one of the two TD's scored before the half, it would been a very even first half. The depth and talent would have still had South firmly in control, but anyone at the game knows the game really was closer than the final score.
  9. There are plenty of spots at the Little and Minor League baseball fields that aren't that far at all from the stadium. If you're going down the road where the stadium is on your left, just keep going to the stop sign and turn right. The Little League is straight ahead. If it's the longest you've ever had to walk to get to a stadium, consider yourself lucky
  10. So you would have rather had them fighting instead?
