I am not knocking the few new kids that are on Cascade's team. However, here's your foot back. The only true new kid is the transferred Jacob Carkuff. Cascade has always pulled punters/kickers in from other sports at the school. The turn around of the team is mostly in part of a new offensive coordinator, different coaching methods and thinking from the coaching staff, and sheer determination by defensive coordinator/weight trainer Coach Austin to have this team in top physical condition. These boys were in the weight room all summer, thanks to Coach Austin. Cascade has not played a team yet, that wasnt gasping for air when leaving the field at halftime. Yet Cascade is so well conditioned and so deep in every position that they stay fresh. There are 20 juniors on this Cascade team that have played together since at least 7th grade at Cascade. Juniors like Nate, Timmy, Pickett, Ryan, Martin, Bain, Gathright, Albert, & Corey are forces to be reckoned with and they're still growing. Something has to be said for that alone. That's why you have the turn around. Cascade has known for several years that this year and next year would be awesome.
