  1. No, we're not going to be cool. We both have accepted that. The reasoning is entirely too personal to be brought up on this website or any website for that matter. I once thought of you as a friend and suddenly found a knife in my back seconds later. I'll leave it at that. We can agree to disagree. Hey, have you ever met Phillip Fulmer or Bruce Pearl? You have? I wonder how. Don't ever forget good deeds regardless when you are pondering "blasting" somebody. Never meant to preach how/why people post. I just wanted some more football talk at the time because I was so pumped about that particular week's game. As a football fan, I'm sure you can see that point.
  2. A joke eh? And logger thinks I'm a clown? Well at least I'm a funny guy. Good deal. You are absolutely ridiculous and don't even pay attention to your own words. Get real.
  3. Yeah, I don't remember who it was that told me how you were planning on winning but I gave that person props for actually coming forth and saying how instead of pointing at the past, which bears of no consequence. Thanks. And, if that was you, you were exactly right. Like I said, if you won, it would be old school football. You followed that to a T. Congrats. As for that other dude, don't get mad at me for calling you an idiot when you post hateful stuff with folks calling me a bum and bozo and such. I got on here tonight to simply tip my hat to your boys for playing their tails off in a big big game. Just accept my props and go play McKenzie.
  4. I agree. Sorry to see that a handful of your fans have to get on here and be all snooty after the fact but the Red Devils themselves won the game in the trenches and never let up. Like I said earlier this afternoon, if you were to win it would be because of your blue collar style and that couldn't have been closer to the truth. JB dug in, knocked folks off the ball and was patient enough to with the 4 yards a clip. I tip my hat. Now, go rep Region 5 proudly in the semis. If some of your people will shut the heck up, I'll definitely be rooting for you.
  5. The point, you idiot, was to get your fans to tell us why you were going to win instead of saying you were going to win because of what previous teams did.
  6. Surely your ignorant tail doesn't think that Clint is better than Colton cause he caught a wide open TD pass and then caught a tipped ball that should have been intercepted. Colton was a man, no way around that. Can't believe you would dis the region back of the year like that.
  7. Freak, you need to learn how to read. Biggest football game in the school's history and no team from this county has made it this far this century. Just read whatever you want though. Typical.
  8. Yeah, B needs his daddy there if he is free to come on down. You need to be there too though. Now is not the time to be nice though sb38. Impose on your peeps. Just ask nicely and promise you'll make it up to them. That, or try to drive down and pull your car up as close to the field as you can get it. You might could drive it down the gravel road alongside the baseball field's first base line. The field is elevated over the football field. It would be a decent view and you'd keep the babies warm if they had to come. This is one of the biggest games B will ever play in. Cascade goes to 2A after this. So, it's your last chance to come here for a game with anything on the line too.
  9. OK, OK. Good answer. That's JB football in a nutshell. If you win, that's exactly how you'll do it. We'll find out in about seven hours. Good luck, drive safe and don't get anybody hurt.
  10. Clint Morris?? Come on now. Let's not compare these two to one another. That's just not fair. Colton was one of the best backs and most productive backs this region has seen in quite awhile. There is no comparison. I'm sure Clint would admit that. He plays with heart but we know where the talent in the family went. I'm terribly sorry you're in the predicament you're in. You not have any aunts, uncles, cousins, church members or grand parents that can watch them thangs for you?? You don't wanna miss this.
  11. If they're such great athletes why do they have four losses? Wait. Athletes don't win games. Football players do. An "expert" should know that and that's exactly why McKenzie has knocked off Manassas, Union City and soon enough Lake County.
  12. Blah, blah, blah. NEWSFLASH for you jb fans, Reeves, Spann, Moody and Morris aren't in high school anymore. What happened in previous games won't get you a single point tonight. Whether Murphy Fair picks you or us doesn't matter. Who was ranked No. 3 in the poll or No. 8 is irrelevant too. Mix in some football and genuine logic if you want to be heard. Tell me how you actually think you're going to win then I'll listen. HAHA!! Atta boy Shep!! It's about beer 30 isn't it buddy!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  13. You're right. Cascade means nothing to you. You been looking forward to the semifinals all week. Why even show up? You've won already, right? See that one in your right-hand column?? How soon you forget. It was less than a month ago and in your own house. All you did was waste a bunch of gas in your pregame ceremony.
  14. Do what you gotta do. Prominent words are prominent words. Most football players place their hands on a sign or structure displaying them before leaving the locker room and heading to the gridiron, regardless of who said them. Does I'll give my all for Tennessee today ring a bell? Probably not.
  15. That's because that speech is part of what our guys listen to in pregame. Get it? Good. Done. Thanks. Drive safe.
  16. Great moments are born from great opportunity and that's what we have here tonight. Now, can you live in that moment, as best you can, with clear eyes and love in your heart...with joy in your heart?? Champions, forget about the crowds, the bands and the hoopla and remember what got you here. Focus on the fundamentals that you've gone over time and time again. You're in the business of protecting your town, your school and your community. You're in the business of winning. That's your job! That's what you do! There will be no next week unless you start believing that you've got to play your best game tonight. You've got to have a fire in your bell that tells you, 'I want to be there in the worst way.' You can't be quiet. You can't be un-emotional. This is a game that breaths emotion. You play every play as if it will be the last play you will ever play. If you don't play with emotion and don't play with the last play every play...it will be. How do you want to be remembered? The inches you need are everywhere around you. They're in every break in a game, every minute, every second. You fight for that inch! You tear yourselves and everyone around you APART for that inch! Because you know, when you add up all those inches, that's going to make the difference between WINNING and LOSING! Ask yourselves...what will you do without next week, when you hang up your pads, when you toss your jerseys into a pile in the fieldhouse, when all that's left at your stadium is trash, quiet and a destroyed turf? Remember this day boys for it will be yours for all time. Moore Co. 40-21 McEwen 48-24 Clarksville Aca. 34-15 Community 42-12 MTC 35-21 Forrest 24-23 Eagleville 31-28 Nashville Christian 62-37 Jo Byrns 15-14 White House Heritage 63-20 Columbia Aca. 42-21 McEwen 55-20 12 DOWN, ONE TO GO There is no next week. There is no overtime. There is only this play, that yard, that goal line. NOW GO OUT THERE AND TAKE IT!! EARN WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY YOURS!! ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE!!!
  17. Sounds like Butchie drank some of Moto's kool-aid. Will win significantly eh? I guess we'll see. Soon, boys, soon.
  18. Thanks. You da man! Stay warm tonight. Didn't realize you were a HUGE Queen fan there MOTO24. You must be familiar with the tune "We are the champions." I've heard it played at Cascade a time or two. Is that you in the front row waving the towel at the guy in the spandex, half black, half white body suit??
  19. Hey hey hey there Spiderman. Go easy on us ole folks! Just remember, while you're trying to chart plays and take pictures at the same time, we'll be drinking hot chocolate, yelling, screaming, and leaning up against a fence. BTW, did you do another story for today?
  20. He could do that but you better have a job waiting for him up in Cedar Hill or Adams and a spot on the JB sidelines on Friday night in front of the kid from The Robertson County Times. I'm thinkin the Cascade folks wouldn't let him get away with picking anything but a Champion victory. I, on the other hand, can be had for a gift card to Sonic. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  21. Hey, if he doesn't get something in there tomorrow, he's no friend of mine. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  22. "McKenzie poop-talk?" Is there really any other kind?? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Think Butch has it coming out his pores!
  23. I for one did think that this year's Cascade team had a chance at being highly successful. Being 12-0? No, didn't see that. But I said that to several folks last year. That's not a knock on the 2007 team at all. I think that one was much more talented. But Cascade had Carkuff, Cooper, Hord, Johnson, Bowen, Henderson, etc., all coming back. That, coupled with area teams losing great talent like Spann, Dailey, Reeves, etc., helped me form my opinion. In fact, I'll go on record and say the 2009 team should be better than this one, which is heavy with juniors. We'll see. I just didn't know how tough the '08 team would be since most players that would have to contribute heavily hadn't played anything more than JV ball. To be honest, I thought Forrest would have as good of a chance as Cascade and JB at winning the region as anybody. Truly shocked they didn't even get to the playoffs. This joy ride here is FAR from over though. Good gracious I can't wait till Friday night!! Let's get this party started!!!
  24. Not sure where you're getting your information Chris but you're way off on several fronts. Have Pecos Bill and Paul Bunyan been giving you updates?? The two played both in '06 and '07 at Cascade in poor conditions. This year in Cedar Hill wasn't much different. This Friday will be dry but very very cold. Cascade is not nearly as big as they were in the past. In fact, you could make a case that, with the exception of the Devil guards, JB is a larger team. Neither team has a speed advantage other than at quarterback. Carkuff could run circles around Adkins. I think JB had something like eight all-region players returning this season. Cascade had to replace 8 or 9 of 11 starters on the lines.
  25. You can't fault a guy for simply giving his unbiased opinion. We all greatly appreciate your joining the thread to give us the viewpoint of a coach. I'm thinking that most of us on here are parents and don't ever get on the sidelines except for pregame on senior night. Thanks again bud. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
