gonna tell on myself, my close friend is the new line and strength coach and he told me they have 3 300lbs bench pressers now and several close to that! In 1A football that is impressive!....this team may not go to the playoffs but from what I gather 10-0 is theirs for the taking. Another friends son plays for CAK and I saw them and they don't stand a chance.

I bet those kids were expensive.

Great post proudbobcatdad. I know the players and coaches are still hurting from Friday's loss and that is to be expected. I hope the underclassman carry that feeling with them throughout the offseason and use it to push themselves.This senior class will be remembered for turning the program around. Coaches you have done a great job. Coach Brackett truly cares about those boys. I have known him for a long time and I have never seen him as emotional about anything as he was after that loss.I know he will continue to work hard to push this program even farther next year. I hope everyone continues to rally around this program and support them.Hopefully everyone has learned the importance of support from your teammates and community. I think this program has turned the corner and has many great seasons to come. Again congrats to the bobcat community.

I've seen many cases of fans complaining about the refs winning a game for a team in a close game, but not in a blowout. It was 48 to 2. Could there really have been that many questionable calls to allow OS to score 48 points and to hold Coalfield to 2. Please. Quit whining.

Banjo what exactly do you think Tellico and Grundy were doing when they scheduled Coalfield and OS? Its not like scheduling is a one way street. They were also looking for someone they could beat after coming off horrible seasons. Some teams prefer to start with what they think will be easier teams- take Florida for example. They have played absolutely no competition before they open up their SEC schedule. Please do not think I'm comparing Coalfield and OS to Florida- I'm not an idiot. I'm just saying before we start saying CF and OS tried to schedule patsies you need to realize that Tellico and Grundy did the same. I think the OS Coalfield game will be a good game with the team with the least turnovers taking the victory. I think the Bobcats had an eye opener last week and should buckle down this wk and improve.

I saw the game at Oakdale. A lack of defense and a lack of execution on offense will come back to hurt the bobcats. I saw them at the jamboree also and it looked like a different team. Seems like they have lost their intensity. They looked hungry at the jamboree, but they seemed to come out flat against Oakdale. I predict Grundy by 20.

Why exactly do you can so much? OS is playing Midway. They have not played Harriman in a while. They actually tried to pick them up two years ago, but it did not work out Whoa! They dropped Kingston who has 800 + students and they aren't playing Rockwood. Those poor kids at OS. They don't get to play Rockwood. The tragedy. Get over it slim. Your life will be just fine if OS and Rockwood don't play.

Prayers from Oliver Springs for Bruce and his family. I have never seen a man that was able to remember as many statistics about a school in my life as Bruce did. It didn't matter the sport, Bruce could remember every season from way back. It was amazing.

I have heard that workouts have been going great this winter. I heard that the coaches are opening the weight room up in the mornings at 7:00 for football players who have to work and keeping it open until 8:00 at night for football players who play another sport. The cats will be young in alot of skill areas but should be tough up front. Good luck in 09

Basketball should be shortened . I love basketball but it is way too long. Even the coaches get sick of it.

TMSAA needs to go to 3 divisions. Cherokee, North, Athens, and Sweetwater all have between 175- 190 8th graders. We can't compete with schools with 600. Just look at who is in the finals. Science Hill boys and girls.

OS did not want to play week O. Didn't matter who it was. Get over it. Win and you'll see them in the playoffs. No one is scared of Rockwood.

Quit whining. If want to see a huge difference look at the large schools. When you compare Sweetwater, Athens, Cherokee, and even North to schools like Science Hill there is a much larger difference.
