  1. Great post!!! But Clinton is very aware of Sharp and he is a threat, but in the x's and o's of football will not put a small db on the field to cover Sharp across the middle. This isnt a conference game but, it will be HUGE!!

  3. You have to remember, did you watched AC play Oak Ridge? AC had a trouble moving the ball against a very weak looking Oak Ridge defense. If I not mistaking AC had a unsportsman like penalty go there way to set up the short TD run by Coleman. Kerr obviously has a young hot headed staff because he has ran everyone else off, that could come back to haunt him! It will be a great game!
  4. Time will tell Zcar, good luck to both teams, and I hope there is no injures on either team.
  5. Here is the deal..........Coach Kerr lives and dies by the run and run they will! The only thing that is different is what extra weight they are putting on #11 shoulders. They are putting him in the slot at times and trying to throw the ball to a couple of different receivers. Other than that it will be the same old song and dance, Zeke running behind Colemans lead blocks, and Sharp getting a few balls thrown his way. Longmire may keep the ball a couple of times. Hard nose players are what AC is made of. On the Clinton side, Joey Allen is back and everyone knows he will hit you like a brick wall, he is a senior that is going to make a statement Friday night! Weston Hazelhurst is a game changer on both sides of the ball! Saul Powell in the middle will see Coleman in the hole all night long and is more than up for that challange. And with the new addition to Clintons recieving core, we have speed now. Zeke is the fasted player AC has, and a GREAT player he is, but he cant be in two places at once. With the number also down at AC and Longmire injured last year and Colemans shoulder and knee, they arent very much different than Clinton. Clinton is still getting there feet in under them but a PHYSICAL game it will be!! There is no question Clinton is better than last year, the offense struggled, defense played pretty well. Just remember last year AC didnt blow Clinton out. Althought AC is tough they will come out and basicly do the same thing they have done for years. Entimidations will not play a factor in the game. Clinton will not buy into the frustration that AC likes to bring to the opposing teams they are playing. It will be VERY interesting to say the least. Prediction- Clintons defense will hold AC to 14 points or least. Clinton will get there offense going down hill and will produce at least 21 points I believe Clinton my know Anderson Countys offense better than Anderson County does! Clinton-21 / AC-14
  6. Get your facts right.....its about $5,500 per year, posters should get their facts right!
  7. Shiela, I dont believe you have anyone fooled, and to say you have a son playing for Powell???Everyone knows your son went to Oliver Springs Mrs. Hood (Brenda), as for the still trying to wreck what Clinton is trying to do, move on! There were so many things off the field that concerned the qb's #7 position last year it isnt even worth mentioning. Be glad you are gone, leave Clinton and there players alone. Having 2 login names and agreeing and having conversations with yourself isnt very adult like. OS will see what they have gotten into by letting you come aboard! All in due time!!
  8. And as for "being careful" directing a quote toward a current players "FATHER" is a very un-wise move and would only be motivated to once again direct attention from the current building of the Clinton program and to stir the pot a little more as it thickens, thats the "shame" here. My stats may not be a spot on match, but I read the Clinton paper and see people daily that attends games. To "brag" is one thing, to state facts is another.
  9. You cant really shame someone for telling the truth now can you?? When I coached Freshman football at Clinton was told what to say and how to coach because of "certain" parents. I made it throught that year and wasnt ask to return which was fine with me! What the shame really is, is that all the negativity that revolves around Clinton football involves parents. There are several great young men on this team that I have coaches as young as 7-8 years old and they dont get the spotlight they deserve because of foolishness like this. And yes please read my post about "Best Linebacker" maybe that other Powell kid isnt the best, but he sticks it out plays the game and does not run to try to find a place to get playing time! I think Hazelhurst, Powell, Hester and other I cant name off the top of my head need to be recognized instead of the ones who never wanted to see the Clinton Dragons accomplish anything! Those "fair weather" fans and parents/player need to move on. Thank GOD my kids are not in that triangle, when they were there 10 years ago coaches coached, players played and parents were fans. A more simpler time with a program that produced wins. There is a list of things wrong with Clinton Football that will never be fixed because the things that have been done and say cut too deep and takes to long to heal and Clinton Football doesnt have that much time. And as for statements I made, I couldnt say much about Little other than what I heard, but as for the other kid that transfered (Powell) I have had direct parent and coaching issues with them years ago and they are good people but they are also no way to please them.
  10. Saul Powell from Clinton is a total run stopper, I heard from a gentleman I work with that has a son on the Heritage team that #54 Saul Powell hit a kid last night at the scrimmage and crushed him, from what I understand you could have heard this hit in Maryville, best high school hit in a long time from what I understand. This kid is a solid 6'1 and 237 and runs a 4.7 according to his coach! Be on the lookout for this guy! For example as a Freshman he picked of the one and only interception against Central and ran it back 20 yards to set up Clinton only score that game, he had just turned 15 years old, is what I was told. Impressive!
  11. I just wonder how long we are going to set on our hands? I think we are limiting our football team. Everyone has there own opinion but I think with the offense struggling so bad last year we need to try other things. I think we throw "zone" blocking out the window! Design a play, and run it till you cant get it wrong. We have good running backs, and a very smart quarter back. I believe with the offense we are running is made for a QB that can scramble, and that is good on his feet, we have a pocket passer QB. The line can only hold there blocks so long, and alot of time we are undersized. I just think we are making the game way to complicated. My blood runs ORANGE, and I believe we are going to get better, but I think we are trying too much to soon. GO DRAGON!!!!
  12. In my opinion if there is a coach that has ties with Clinton Fotball or not that has a positive coaching back ground and wants to help the program grow and get better I think they have to be considered. As we all know the head coach cant do every, and the head coach in most case is only as good as the people surrounding him.
  13. What did I miss? What did chsdragon say that was so much of a concern?
  14. This AD is out of control, what "power" he has, has went to his head!
