  1. Your talking really big, but i don't think you have a clue to what your saying...I think C'wood will come out ready to win..They are too fired up for this game...They are ready to play, and they want this win. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

The Tigers are fired up and want to keep that streak in tact. They have been practicing hard and will come out ready to defend their home field.

  2. Now Young, no need to fire off at us. You know as well as I do why no region 6 teams are rated. Typically you have 1 or 2 big guns in the region who beat up on everyone else. This particular season every team in your region already has at least 1 region loss. You happen to be the (SEC conference) of high school football and there is no clear cut favorite right now.

Not firing off at you. I'm proud of you. Region 6 can be like the SEC as long as MP isn't like Tennessee, unless they win the rest of their games.

Poor ole region 6. We can't even get one team in the top 13 and region 5 has 3 teams in there. Maybe one day we will grow up to be just like region 5. lol

  4. Maybe this game comes down to pride and who wants it the most. Pride runs deep in Collinwood. MTP could start to unravel and start pointing fingers if things don't go well early. However, if CA ran the ball on C'wood you would think that MTP can run it as well. I bet if C'wood jumps out MPT will lay down.

I bet Mt. Pleasant will not lay down. They have too much heart, they want to win too much. They have been part of a winning team ever since they have been at the school and want to keep it that way.

  5. I think Mt. Pleasant will get back on track this week. I haven't kept up with as many teams as I did last year just for fun, so tell me Mt.Pleasant fans, how is life without Marco? Spreading the ball around more? Is the future bright?

The future is very bright. Our B-team is playing real well in B-team games and our middle school team has blown everyone out this year. In the near future, things are getting better. We are working toward getting depth on the line and we are scheduled to get a starter back from injury within two or three weeks. So things aren't as bleak as some would like to think. We do spread the ball around more which gives more players chances to contribute. As far as Marco, he is gone, he is playing college as it should be. We like the offense we have this year and can put some points on the board when we play well, same as last year with him.

  6. This will be a close game like always. I see the Trojans pulling away in the 4th , with no Marco to throw that lame duck pass on 3rd and 14 to win it for you. Theyoungtiger i would like Tomato, mayo and lettace on my HB you will be buying me. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> But if we put the ball on the ground like last Friday ill have yours ready as well. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Go Trojans

Come by the tailgate on the south end of the endzone. I'll cook the burger and you can pay for it in advance. The concession stand may be closed after the game and I don't want one from McDonalds.

  7. Wow, Young, this region is going to get very interesting this year. So who has the inside track to the 1 seed now? I'm sure you guys already have all that stuff figured out. I wonder when was the last time that MP and CWood lost on the same night. I'd bet it's been awhile.

For MP to win it now they have to win the rest of their games and WC has to loose one more. The only tough game WC has left is Collinwood. MP has to play MC, C'wood and CA, who may be tougher than we thought.

The guys just need to practice hard this week and PAY ATTENTION so they will understand what they are supposed to do, when to do it, when to block what person and what angle they are supposed to take to the ball. If you don't understand ASK QUESTIONS!!!!

  8. Tough luck Tigers. Good game WC. You were ready and pumped up. Maybe we meet again this year? Hopefully! You suprised me holding us to 7 and scoring 26. Didn't think either would happen. Good luck the rest of the season.

Tigers use this as motivation for this weeks game against Collinwood. Get tough and dig yourself out of this hole. You can do it.

  9. It's funny no one thought we would score without him but we are averaging 33 or so pts a game. I think a lot of kids have stepped up to the plate.

your right young tiger that is about what mtp is avg. scoring but that number is inflated a bit when you consider , that mtp scored most of that aginst zion, cornersville, and perry co. aginst the 2 better teams lewis co. and fariview your only avg. 15 pts my point being i assure you wc is much closer to lewis co. and fairview than zion and that bunch.

I'm not lumping you with that group, no doubt you are better but you did allow LC to score 36 or so. I have no doubt we can do the same if not better.

  10. I can't imagine that he wouldn't have known he'd be ineligible for a year. But let's assume you're right; let's assume he went to EHS solely to play football at a higher level. Wouldn't he be better off playing at a higher level?

Everybody talks about what a fine young man he is and what a rough upbringing he's had. So he's at a top flight academic institution with a much higher athletic profile, playing for one of the best football coaches in Tennessee. It seems as though he might have actually caught a break in life, and you think there's something horribly wrong here? With friends and supporters like y'all, I certainly hope this kid never has enemies.

Except for the fact that I knew Ricky Bowers several years ago, Ensworth is nothing but a team I used to play against when I was a 7th and 8th grader, and now an opponent on MBA's schedule. Even if Ensworth provided every illegal inducment in the world to convince him to come there, shouldn't you maybe glad for the kid's opportunity?

I can promise you HE DIDN'T KNOW and sure he would be benefiting "if he were playing". No one said his up bringing was rough just that he didn't have a lot. Maybe he did catch a break and is getting a good education, I hope so, but I'm not glad when adults are using this kid for their gain and now it has cost the kid a year of eligibility. That is what gets me. Now that he is there I hope he does well but he can't if he isn't on the field.

  11. That was the same website I was looking at, don't know how I missed that. Glad to see he's sticking with it. I saw a highlight film on Akeem Shavers and I thought Marco was better so I was beginning to wonder about him.

Their web site isn't the best or most updated in the buisness. Hopefully he will be at full strength this weekend. They had a buy week last week. The kid from Oregon State last night reminded me a lot of Marco. It's funny no one thought we would score without him but we are averaging 33 or so pts a game. I think a lot of kids have stepped up to the plate.

  12. i am going with wayne county i see mtp losing to Wayne County teams the next 2 weeks.

    Cats.. 35

    MTP.. 28

You've been hitting the bottle a little too hard.

I dont think it will be nearly that high scoring but if waynesboro is as good offensively as they claim who knows

They won't hold MP to 28 pts. They let LC score 36 on them.

  13. The only way JB is a media darling is through the writing of The Robertson Co. Times very own Joshua Wilkins. Although he is a local guy, and a friend, he is not a JB alumni. He is just good at what he does and it gets recognized by the folks over at The Tennessean, but JB is not in there every week. Before he started writing, JB only made the paper in the playoffs or a good ER/JB game. MTCS is in the spotlight because 1) their coach 2) that coach happens to coach his teams to wins in big games (most of the time) 3) Ever wonder how many folks live towards MTCS? I bet a BUNCH of 'em subscribe!

BTW - non of this was directed toward you youngtiger. I just picked a quote box.

That may be partially true about the Tennessean but you guys have Murphy wrapped around you little finger. I can't really complain about the Tennessean because we are 60 miles away and have the Columbia paper The Daliy Herald that usually has an article about us in it.

  14. The quality of college academic preparation he'll receive will more than make up for it. The purpose of a high school is education, not simply to house an athletic program.

Uuuhhhh!!! And you have an athletic program why? To attract students? I hope you are right and he gets prepared for college academically.

  15. I love how Union City still is not ranked after beating a 6th(i think) ranked McKenzie. Reminds me of 05 when Lake County was third in the region after week 10 and ranked but UC and McKenzie were no where to we found. UC then stomps JCS and Jo Byrns #4 and 2 respectively then gets demolished by #1 TC.

Atleast the system is not like D1 college and have an effect on the post season.

It is odd that McKenzie is ranked and UC isn't. The polsters must think Mckenzie just had a bad game or something.
