Good they should have. Now you know that I am a Smyrna Fan, heck my screen name says it, but I didn't think it was "Cool," or "Fuuny" that someone did that. It just proves how immature some people are. What I think is even more funny is that supposedly some F-ball players from Blackman did it. Guess they rather vandalize other teams property than prepare for football season. Regardless, good luck Friday night, I hope Smyrna shows up, not for any reason than the last game was borring as heck, and I am not going to sit there all night and watch Smyrna get their rears handed to them while I freeze to death!

Okay I am as big a fan of Smyrna as you are, but I have to disagree on what you believe Smyrna's Key is to this rematch. I believe that both teams are equally good, however everyone gives R'dale so much hype, which they deserve, but they have always been in the media, spotlight, public eye, etc, etc. R'dale is used to all of the talk and expectations, and publicity. I think that Smyrna's biggest "key" to even have a chance in this game is to ignore all the talk about this game, keep focused, pratice hard, and stop worrying, "Oh! We are playing Riverdale, oh crap what do we do?" And going out to a game and acting like 7 year olds playing pee-wee football for the first time against a team that, even thought I hate to say it, could more than likely beat the freakin' Titans! Smyrna's biggest hurdle they have that they need to learn how to cross is to not freak out when they show up to play Riverdale. I mean come on???? It's a freakin football game against a really good team. But Smyrna has played good teams before and have actually showed up on the field. If the Smyrna team that has been showing up the past 4 games shows up this Friday night then it will be a good game. BUT, if the Smyrna team that always shows up (for some reason) to Riverdale games shows up then it will be just as ugly as it was in week 8.

Nice pic.... did R'dale ever get the real one replaced? I think I remember that something had been said in the DNJ about Riverdale not replacing it b/c they were worried that someone would torch it again. I am not trying to be rude or take cheap shots, I am seriously asking. Let's watch the language

BUT a lot of people who are not familiar with any other teams other than the ones right here in Rutherford Co. that have been around forever, were not familiar with McCallie, and until they played R'dale and beat them did they know anything about that team. Yes, they are a great team, they would have to be to play that well against R'dale, but like I said, have continued to say, and will continue to say, not EVERYBODY knew of McCallie and THAT is what I meant. As for whatever "Credability" you were talking about, who cares????????? It's a freakin' web page, blog posting! I believe that I had to go back and specify what I meant by "nobody" team. Leave it up to you to read a post and take it totally out of context. I wasn't "running off at the mouth" it's just amazing that Riverdale has now had 3 games since the Smyrna game and it's all everyone is still talking about.... that and how "great" they are. Everyone knows how great they are, we don't have to talk about Riverdale every five minutes. Besides now that Gary is gone who is going to do the recruiting????? (lol just kidding) ANYWAY...... obviously I can't communicate with you b/c you think you know the in's and out's of Smyrna Football and every other team in this area and this is silly now I see why most people on here rarely reply to anything you post or even bother with you. Well then good luck this week and I hope that all of your players play a great game and have a safe game with no injuries on either side of the ball. And if Smyrna looses to LaVergne then LaVergne deserves it. Hopefully Smyrna will come prepared to play and remember that LaVergne isn't bad like they used to be, Don Thomas has really started to turn that program around and they really have started to show this season. WOW! What an intelligent response... seems like someone got so upset they had a hard time typing. Dude it's a message board, stop taking things so personally. I'm just sick of it seeming like the only thing that matters in this world is a game between Riverdale and Smyrna in which Smyrna got their rears handed to them. I'm not proud of that, but I'm not cocky enough to sit here and try to act like it didn't happen. And whether or not the loss was in a Region game or not, R'dale still lost which still proves that they are beatable, and if the only team you are seeing that can beat R'dale is theirselves then you must have missed the game that I have been speaking about that got you so upset. I should have specified what I meant by "nobody football team" I meant a team that obviously is good, but a team that has never played in our area before. And if that is accurate that they are one of the better teams in the state that's great, they proved it beating a very good football team in Riverdale. Sorry if I caused any confusion on the "nobody" statement.

Well trust me, 5A Fan may be a true fan of CC and that's great but until you are related to a coach of a team he will never understand true love and passion for a football team. And Smyrna may have had a slow start but it looks to me like CC never really got a start. And who cares about the regular season against R'dale? I mean come on isn't there something else that anyone could talk about? Everyone acts like that was the only game of the year and all that mattered. Yes, everyone truly thought that this would be the "BIG" year, but we choked, no doubt about that. However, everyone is forgetting that R'dale is a big deal team who is used to the hype and the spotlight, newspapers, TV, and everything else that comes with a big game. So far Smyrna, nor any other R'ford Co. team has been able to handle that same spotlight. All local teams have frozen, they may have scored but they didn't win. And yes, I don't think there was another team this year that lost as badly to R'dale as Smyrna did, but they still lost. SO...instead of sitting here and just running a game that is over and done with into the ground, let's look forward and realize that Smyrna has a lot to get perfected before the 3rd round and hopefully they will get it together and play a great game.

Yeah really, I do have to agree with that! Why can't these kids just go and cheer for their team instead of causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to both schools? Hopefully we will have a less "damaging" next week before the game. Go Dawgs!
